A much better outing for me than Dreaming of You, even if Ivo Jenner bites it. I don't have the love for Kleypas that some do, but I'm glad to have not disliked another one from her.

Hey, Ivo Jenner! My favorite guy from Dreaming of You! Oh no, you're dying???
I love Lisa Kleypas.
After the ending of the second Wallflowers book, I HAD to see what was in store for Evie and Sebastian - a sweet virgin and a notorious rake.
Any guesses? 😄
I'm calling it : St Vincent is #sciencedaddy . #hbreadingembrace #readingchallenge
Lisa Kleypas is one of my favorite romance authors. I usually read her books in order but I decided to read book 3 of The Wallflower series after a fave podcast I Iisten kept talking about St. Vincent Day.
The hero in this book, Sebastian St. Vincent, did sound like a pretty yummy guy. His character change after meeting Evie was quite sweet. Was it a swoon worthy story? No, but it was enjoyable.
3.5 ⭐️

Lisa Kleypas has quickly become one of my faves. This story didn‘t disappoint. I wanted to read this after they popped up in The Ravenel‘s series, Devil In Spring. Loved reading about Evie & Sebastian‘s story.
My pick for Dec 14 ❄️Snow White❄️is Devil in Winter by Lisa Kleypas. I love this series and should reread it again. #TeamReadNosedReindeer #WinterGames2020
I‘ve read the first two books in this series, but I‘m out. As much as I love the heroines, I cannot bring myself to read Sebastian‘s “redemption” story. (SPOILER) He kidnapped a woman with the intent to force her into marriage while repeatedly threatening to rape her so her fiancée will no longer want her! Because he‘s broke and needs her fortune! WHAT. Oh, but he assures her he‘ll make sure she ENJOYS THE RAPE. Because he‘s so good at sex.???
Does this book remind you a “classic?” It has those overtones to me; can‘t remember which classic it reminds me of. Can anyone else?
Almost done with Devil in Winter! Not sure how I feel about it yet 🤷🏼♀️ I just recently picked up my first historical romances and I think I got lucky with these and I‘m hooked! I loved Annabelle and Lillian and their personalities not to mention the beautiful visuals throughout the books. I would say It Happened One Autumn is my favorite.
I actually finished this book at the end of April and loved it. Evangeline is a desperate to escape abusive relatives. This leads her to approach a scandalous viscount and ask for a marriage of convenience. I loved Sebastian‘s protectiveness toward Evangeline and her quiet strength. This was my first Kleypas book and I can‘t wait to read more!
Thanks to @ScientistSam for your review of this book that persuaded me to give it a try.

“As Sebastian, Lord St. Vincent, stared at the young woman who had just barged her way into his London residence, it occurred to him that he might have tried to abduct the wrong heiress last week at Stony Cross Park.”

Possibly my favorite Wallflowers book so far, because it shows that quiet, shy Evie has a backbone of steel. And she's paired with the biggest, baddest rake of them all...

I do love Kleypas‘ historical romances. Devil in Winter did not disappoint.

I absolutely loved this book! Evie & Sebastian 💚💚💚
My favorite setting in a romance novel is a gaming club, which I just realized after reading this book. I always enjoy these ones more.
I want more of Evie and Sebastian!
Sebastian St. Vincent is a fan favorite but I still didn't warm up to him! I love Evie but not St. Vincent. The Wallflowers series is still my favorite Lisa Kleypas series.
This is one of my favorites! I've read it so much the book is starting to fall apart.
"I would never be so bourgeois as to lust after my own wife."
One of several laugh out loud moments for me in this book. Definitely flew through it. #romantsy
I'm totally in for #RomBkLove. My favorite trope is marriage of convenience. Devil in Winter being a good example. Tropes I also enjoy are uptight heroes, rake/wallflower pairings, nerdy/smart heroines, and virgin heroes.
Continuing my romance kick, in honor of my great grandmother who passed on Tuesday night. She was three days short of her 96th birthday and loved a good love story. She was blind for the last decade and I would get her audiobooks from the library, I was the only one she trusted to pick books she'd like. She had a long, full like and passed surrounded by grandkids, but I'm really going to miss her.
I devoured this. It made me laugh... it made me cry.... One of my favorite romances ever. #romantsy
Devil In Winter is the Kleypas book my friend swears I've read...but which I can't remember reading. I decided that I need to refresh my memory before I pick up her latest book, Devil In Spring. A lot is riding on this book. Derek Craven was dnf for me, so I only have Team Sebastian to fall back on. Wish me luck! #romantsy #lisakleypas #historicalromance

Reread. I love a villain to hero romance and this is a great one. St Vincent is wonderful and Evie a great match for him. I sometimes struggle with the gentler heroines but Evie was done well. This is one of LK's best and this book ties together 2 different series's from her as well, which is a nice little addition. #romansty #osrbc
P.S. I've never seen this stepback (cover) - this scene wasn't in the book, lol. #inaccurate
Damn it. I don't know how to be a husband, or a father. But since your standards in both areas seem to be relatively low, I may have half a chance at pleasing you.
This series just gets better and better! Evie and Sebastian are definitely my favorite couple😍Finished this one just in time for Devil in Spring!😄👍
So much for only reading it on the treadmill...with a story this good, it's hard to put down. #historicalromance #romantsy #read
Adding another to the #currentlyreading list. I started a fitness challenge with a friend and #kindle reads are the easiest on a treadmill. It's also been a long time since I have read a straight #historicalromance and feel like I'm overdue.
Done With It happened one autumn. Now its time to read The Devil in winter. #cr #currentlyreading #lovetoread #booklover #lovebooks #bookstagram #bookphoto #bookaddict #bookworm #booknerd #book #books #read #reading #books4life #books4ever #lisakleypas #ithappenedoneautumn #thedevilinwinter
After reading about a villainous hero in Duke of Sin, I needed to reread my favorite Wallflower book about quiet Evie and my first, I believe, dastardly hero. While he's not truly as knavish as Val, Sebastian did kidnap Evie's friend and he's desperate enough to do about anything to replenish his fortune. But he also shows himself to be a considerate partner and passionate businessman. I was happy to visit with them again. #romantsy #recommendsday
One of my all time favorite Historical Romances. I've read it a dozen times and each time it gets better and better.
It's got two strong leading characters, a dashing bad boy Viscount and a leading lady who holds her own and gets what she wants. And the plot, its brilliant. You wont be able to put it down 😍📚💜🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

when it comes to swoonworthy hero's , there's no one more swoonworthy than Sebastian St.Vincent 😍😘💞

"I'll take your bet ," he said grimly . "I'm going to win it. And in three months, I'm going to put this back on your finger , and take you to bed, and do things to you that are outlawed in the civilized world."
"I want to fill every part of you, breathe the air from your lungs and leave my handprints on your soul. I want to give you more pleasure than you can bear "
🎶 Oh, my love is like a red, red rose
That‘s newly sprung in June
Oh, my love is like a melody
That‘s sweetly played in tune
As fair art thou, my bonnie lass,
so deep in love am I
And I will love thee still, my dear Till all the seas gang dry… 🎶
Another beautiful bookish gift from another amazing friend! This came from @strandbookstore in NYC! ❤️
I love this book. I've lost count of how many times I've read it, but I'm sure I'll read it many times more. #osrbc
Those outfits are very impractical and there is no scene like this in the book. 😆 Oh well. I got on a bit of a romance kick apparently, going right from the Sarah MacLean I finished yesterday right into this one! I used to read a lot of Lisa Kleypas, and now I remember why. So good. 💗😍💗😍💗
