Do you yearn to feast your eyes upon rich satire and nearly limitless dick jokes? Look no farther. For those who enjoyed/endured the previous book, “kill the farm boy.” This sequel is sure to please.
I absolutely love these books. They are such fun fantasy books. It‘s always great to be in this world as it‘s such a great time. In this one an unlikely group of friends get together to try and save the kingdom and gnomes from the halflings. So of course they go on a journey!

Book 2 in the Tales of Pell series and while this one had significantly less poop jokes, the characters this time around fell really flat in comparison to book one. I love gnomes and they were kind of bland to me. The plot wasn‘t all that appealing either, I laughed a few times at some decent jokes but overall not that great. The covers for this series are stunning though and I love them.
I liked this book much more than I did the first book and even my six-year-old son enjoyed it. He sat through the whole novel. A metal gnome, a paranoid half-sheep half-human girl, a halfing, a dwarf, and a noble gryphon. The book is hilarious. Most of these classic fantasy characters are POC, as well.
Here‘s my blue stack for #ReadYourSign - All books I haven‘t read. I am planning to read the tagged for this challenge though.

My commute to work consists of a bus ride (when I read a book) and a 20 min walk (when I listen to a audiobook). I may have chosen my books poorly this time around, cuz i'm having trouble making the mental shift between Wilder Girl's heavy, dystopian survival horror and No Country for Old Gnomes' cheeky, campy, over-the-top monty python-esque romp through Skyr. It's a self-induced emotional roller coster.
The voice work on this audiobook is astounding. The plot is interesting and the scenes are hilarious. One of the rare times when a sequel surpasses the first book.
Finished this audiobook second night at work. Not as raunchy as the first, but still very funny!

Kooky and fun, full of middle school type humor. In a good way. If you put Lord of the Rings and and Shrek in a blender this book would be the result.
Enjoyed Kill the Farm Boy so taking a chance on this one. Off to a fun start so far. Seeing plenty of puns and silly humor ahead 📚🤣

Day 17: #coolcolors #colormepretty
I love having a book that has nothing but cool colors on the cover. Blues, greens and purples. I really enjoy these covers and the titles of this series, I have only started book one but I can‘t wait to get to this one and deal with the Gnomes (I freaking love gnomes hahah)
One of the pros to working at a gym is access to fancy weights than can tell you about the general state of your body. I tested before the first round of #bookfitnesschallenge and again today, and turns out the weight I've put on during #bfc is pure muscle. Bless this challenge for motivating the heck outta me! 💪 😄😄
Celebrating with an ab-workout (laughing is a workout, pass it on) provided by the tagged book, which is a GEM. 💃💃

This was a cute follow-up to Kill the Farmboy! The puns were plentiful and the little band of characters were cute. It was a lot of fun!
Can't wait to crack this open! Anyone read it yet?
I LOVED this book. I think I loved this one even more than Kill the Farm Boy. This one really hit that sweet spot of comedy and adventure. It seemed a bit less over the top comedically for me than the first one which was just what I needed. It was still funny and full of puns and names that you chuckle at, but just something about it felt more like an adventure and less of a comedy so it was just right.
Another hilarious and meaningful adventure from Delilah S. Dawson and Kevin Hearne. The characters, as usual, are relatable and fun. I was excited to see the return of my favorite characters from Kill the Farm Boy. Definitely for anyone who enjoys a hearty laugh.
"The titles were descriptive and each included the artist's initials: 'Fuzzy AF, Fancy AF, Llama is Angry AF'" ?
"There was a section of the market purveying automaatti designed to perform all sorts of tasks, from shiny golddenne men who wouldn't shut up, to rolling ballish bots who chirruped pleasantly, to a thing much like a garbage pail on wheels that seemed smarter than it had any right to be."
