“It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends“ I've always really liked this quote from the book.
I would include this in my library for sure! It's a lengthier book, but some kids are ready for these types of chapter books! I was in third grade when I read my first Harry Potter book.
“Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone“ by J.K. Rowling, 1997. Modern Fantasy chapter book. Harry Potter books were and still are my favorite books. The fantasy elements in this story is the whole wizzard world, where everyone has a wand and can cast spells. It's a great read!
My husband and I became homeowners today! And the very first things to be properly placed into the new house were....all my Harry Potter books! 😆📚⚡❤ #harrypotterfan #booklover #priorities #homeiswheremybooksare #newhouse #bookshelves #bookish #books #reader #harrypotter #jkrowling
‘After all, to a well-organised mind, death is but the next great adventure.‘
Re-reading this for the first time in over a decade and it‘s just as absorbing as when I first read it at ten years old. My son, on the other hand, found it too sad to finish listening to the whole thing; I‘ll try it again with him in a couple of years 🔮
What age were you when you first read Harry Potter?
My husband gifted me The Bookish Box Advent calendar. It is a package they do that has 12 days of bookish items that they have left over from their previous boxes. From what I understand it‘s a random selection of goodies. Today I received a shirt inspired by Harry Potter and the Sorcerer‘s Stone. I also receive the cutest little raven skull necklace inspired by The Raven Cycle.
On Christmas Eve, Harry went to bed looking forward to the next day for the food and the fun, but not expecting any presents at all. When he woke early in the morning, however, the first thing he saw was a small pile of packages at the foot of his bed.
Tradition: We always do a countdown it's a fun way to cut down on the "IS IT TIME YET!?!" littles anxiety (or that probably just gives me anxiety lol) ? I usually make them so it counts down to the 21st. I purchased one this year and we decorated the 21st door special. ? But it also counts to Xmas which some other family members celebrate too. Really I'm just excited that it's #HarryPotter! ??
For some reason I can‘t post an image. I really can‘t say anything that hasn‘t already been said. RegardlessI I love the Audible version. I can see the characters in my head. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was the year the kids both finished reading Harry Potter, so I thought this advent calendar would be a great way to commemorate the momentous event. Can‘t wait to start today, and they have no idea what‘s inside ❤️
This year, I‘ve been wanting the Funko Harry Potter advent calendar, but it‘s expensive, so I haven‘t gotten it. Maybe one day.

I had actually never read the first book, but I expected it would be good based on the other books in the series. I wasn't disappointed. My husband and I are also rewatching the films. J. K. Rowling did put this character through the ringer, didn't she? It actually makes me a little angry.
I've been learning lately the importance of leaning into things that bring my inner child joy in life. Growing up, books were always my safest places and the Harry Potter novels were a huge part of that. It's been a joy reliving my childhood excitement rereading this.
I had forgotten just how light, funny and earnest (like Harry) this read is...and in hindsight? Dumbledore nudging these kids in the direction of such danger? Nope nope.
I am so excited to give this to my niece for Christmas... I love that she loves Harry Potter as much as I do that I couldn‘t resist inscribing it!!
My husband, adult daughter, son-in-law and I are all visiting Universal in Orlando. She insisted on getting an interactive wand (barely visible in the photo). I insisted on getting a copy of the first book and reading it. Somehow I've read all the books but the first one. The best part of the trip has been the afternoons. We all go back to the hotel and read. 😁
My current view of Diagon Alley as I hold the bags and wait for my family on the ride! I can squeeze in reading time anywhere. My current read is a reread of Northanger Abbey and Jane is not pulling any punches.
ALSO, I‘m sitting on the steps of Gringott‘s, on the roof of which a fire breathing dragon is perched—I can feel the heat from its periodic roaring flame!
J.K. Rowling inspired us with her fantastic ideas inside her amazingly talented mind, this book is fancy, touching, and quite humorous, people like something for a reason that's not only understandable but also clear. And in this case, I suppose that anyone who's read this book would understand how it resulted in success.
A Re-Read for me and I absolutely loved and enjoyed this book so much!
Yes, that's why I was reading this again. I get a little nostalgic when I haven't visited the Potterverse for awhile.
Littens! Lend me your eyes! Again! Hehehe ?
Please and Thank you ?
I thought I would upload a larger image of Nerdy Post's "Harry Potter Re-covered Collection" so y'all could appreciate the details. In addition to the dust jackets, the pre-order will include seven exclusive pins like the little Hedwig pictured at the bottom.
Littens! Lend me your eyes!
I'm beyond goofy excited because my hubby very kindly and lovingly treated me to Nerdy Post's Harry Potter Re-covered Collection!!
I've never owned anything like this before and I'm giddy over this extremely early (and gorg!!) Christmas present 😊❤🎄💜📚
These brand new dust jackets are gonna make my books look so purdy!

It‘s daughter‘s birthday today so I was audio baking - chocolate strawberry cupcakes with Stephen Fry in the background reading Harry Potter to me. That‘s some #happybaking
I got the idea from Lauren Reads youtube channel to use audio to listen to rereads of favourite books - really worked for me 😍
Thank you for today‘s #FriYayIntro @howjessreads
1. Trivial Pursuit 🧐
2. Australia 🇦🇺
3. Not so good! I planned to read a lot more, but work has been relentless this year! 😓
4. J.K. Rowling! I avoided Harry Potter for years thinking it couldn‘t possibly live up to the hype, then finally read the first book and found out it did! 🙈
5. What book make a huge impact on you? 📚
Happy Monday! Back to work tomorrow, but I had a good day. Been listening to Catching Fire on audio while I ran errands today. Now ready to make dinner and hopefully put in some more time reading Once Upon a River, which I have been loving so far!
received a package from my mother in law today of a Danish copy of Philosophers Stone (i‘ve been looking forever for one!) and also an Italian copy with the most incredible illustrations 💙 i‘m in love
I've only read one of the illustrated editions- the first a few years ago - so I decided to put them all on hold so I could do a reread this fall & they were all available for me to pick up yesterday & I'm excited to read these over the next several weeks
Happy Halloween from the Potters!!!

A close up of the amethyst and crystal wand! 💜🖤💜🖤
And look who was my mystery Funko...Harry wearing the Sorting hat!! I never get that lucky!
Our morning got off to a terrible start, late school bus so I had to drive Maya to school in rush hour traffic, which is 1 hr+ round trip. And lots of tears from a friend backing out from trick or treating tonight for a “better option”. 😬 This lifted my mood when I got home.
Lunch break with some sweet tangerine tea and good old Harry
Couldn‘t go my whole life never reading Harry Potter, so now I can finally check this off my TBR list.
This was a fun quick read centering around Harry and his two best friends at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I loved seeing Harry, who had grown up with so little, get to experience so much with people who truly cared about him.
Even though I knew the twist in the ending beforehand, it is still well done. Overall, very enjoyable.
