This had to be my Christmas Eve pick ❤️💚 I love this entire series but this is my daughter‘s favorite book in the series. She & I watch the movie together & the song is one of our favorite Christmas songs. Tissues usually required 💚❤️

Oh geez, I‘ve known this story for a long time. I can‘t remember reading the book, but I can picture Rob Lowe as the busy lawyer. Did this knowledge stop me from crying as I read this? No, it did not! …I also thought of these shoes as I read. My sister and I had the same size feet. After her passing in April, I went to her closet. I wanted to walk in her shoes. This is what I wore to my Irish-loving sister‘s funeral. ↓

It‘s been a hot minute since I last posted on here! At the beginning of this school year, I was overwhelmingly stressed and in a book slump because of it. The last couple of months have been better, though. And now I‘m feeling the Christmas vibes in full effect!

Just listened to Mean Bookclub tear apart The Christmas Shoes novella. Seriously cried the first time I heard the song. Then I saw the movie and was like, “what a f*cking ugly pair of shoes.” I will likely never read this book. If you enjoy listening to other readers destroy bestsellers this podcast is for you.

Read this series every December. This year I‘ll watch the movie, too. Gets me every time.

All the feels!! Such a good book!!

In fairness, this isn't my type of book. But someone loaned it to me, so I felt obligated to read it. For me, too sappy and neat. There were also a lot of weird jumps in time and past/present tense which I found distracting. Still going with pick because it wasn't bad and I think people who like these types of books will enjoy it.

So I picked this up thinking it'll be a cheery, cosy, palate cleanser...p2 young mum dying of ovarian cancer!!!!!! 🙄 I am in such a reading slump!!!!!!!!! 😩

If the song Christmas shoes can bring tears to your eyes imagine what the book can do. Absolutely such a moving and emotional holiday book. This book brings the season into perspective and is truly a great and quick read. Expect to cry big fat tears though 😍❤️

They're sweet stories, sometimes a bit too "Hallmark Channel" for me but my sister loves them and it's something we get to do together. I'm sure I'll be looking for a similar type of book this year for my sister's Christmas gift too! I drew her name in our stocking exchange ❤️??☃️
