It‘s hard to narrow it down to just one favorite book but in the end I decided that I can‘t ignore this classic which opened my eyes to a whole new world: that of the Russian novels.

I know,some don‘t like to read chunksters but if you do, there is a lot to be found here.I read it recently,Tolstoy had a great insight into the human condition, the consequences that can spiral out from an extramarital affair is a main feature of the novel with 8 parts & more than a dozen major characters,I kept a list! In this time of social change, Tolstoy captures universal feelings /motivations.

I‘‘ve been reading Anna Karenina for the last couple weeks. I‘ve always been fascinated with this book so I‘m hoping I‘ll get through it by Friday. Then it‘s on to another #chunkybook with The Lincoln Highway. That‘s my #lastfirst goals.

A tragedy, but also a book of hope.

Have abandoned this in midst a number of times now - the length of the book definitely a barrier - but the reviews keep bringing me back to finish reading this . I hope my time isn‘t wasted !

I started reading Anna Karenina on Serial Reader. I am enjoying it so far! The app delivers a section each day and it helps me make my way through the classics without giving up.

I can‘t sleep so I may as well start a 27 hour audiobook! This was free on audible.

Fell a little behind when I was in Disney but I‘m all caught up now. Reading 15 pages a day so I‘ll be done before the New Year. #russianauthor #wizardingworldchallenge #cuttingitclose

This photo popped up on my FB memories from 6 years ago today: me reading Anna Karenina on our private balcony, on a luxury junk, in Halong Bay, Vietnam. How I loved this book, and Vietnam 📖💕💕💕.

One day we will be free to travel more widely. In the meantime I feel so lucky to virtually travel via my love of reading in these trying times. 📚🌏🙏

(1) Anna Karenina was absolutely heartbreaking.
(2) This is from a few years ago, when I hosted a Halloween party for my friends and we carved pumpkins together. I don't usually decorate for Halloween.

While I‘m waiting for my Jeep to get worked on I figure I need to dive into this book and get it started for my February reading. I have tried to read it before and stopped. This time I‘m determined...got it tabbed into weekly reading sections. I have 3 books going and in order to have them read I‘m determined to read a bit each week. Anyone else do this?

Planning on reading Anna Karenina this month for one of my reading challenges. In the meantime I‘ve been preparing for #bookspin. Cannot wait to get started.
