5/5 for the second in this series! Holy moly! I need to read the next book right this very minute. This book was so good. It was so full of action and drama and still had some romance! I loved it. I love the Shadowhunter world so much.
I forgot it was #24in48 this weekend so I'm doing it in the week instead. Good luck to everyone doing it!
I finished the tagged book on Friday, about to start Queen of Air and Darkness now.
My cozy little book nook is finally complete πβ¨ I'm in love!

I just couldn‘t finish this book. I really and truly enjoyed all of Cassandra Clare‘s other books and I was able to finish Lady Midnight but something about this series just doesn‘t appeal to me personally.
I have read 4 books so far in April, these 3 and the tagged book. Overall I have read 53 books this year so far. #booksread
The second part of the Dark Artifices trilogy. It was really good and at 700 pages huge! There is lots going on and Emma and Julian are just great characters. #books
A really easy read/listen, lots of action - I‘m preferring this series to the infernal devices. Excellent ending - left feeling like I need to start the next book straight away.
James Marsters reads the book very well - it‘s a long audiobook at nearly 24 hours. He does superb voices - I loved hearing him speak as Kieran.
πFAVORITE BOOKS OF 2019 π

Audio colouring with my daughter. I think 4 holds came through from my library yesterday lol so I need to finish this one and Queen of air and Darkness so I can get through all of my loans beforeninhave to go back to work/school
Heroes aren‘t always the ones who win. They‘re the ones who lose, sometimes. But they keep fighting, they keep coming back. They don‘t give up. That‘s what makes them heroes.
I have read The Mortal Instruments, The Infernal Devices and must say The Dark Artifices is my favorite of the Shadowhunter series. Everyone seems to show up in the story at one point or another and the characters are more endearing, equally sassy, funny and interesting. Even her new characters are more three dimensional.
Kit is possibly my favorite part of this book. I also highly recommend the audiobook, James Marsters is fantastic
I‘ve been putting this one off because the size is so daunting but I‘m going to tackle it now.

I enjoyed hearing the audio version of this while reading along with my own physical book. It made it easier to get through the fight scenes since I have such a hard time picturing those and loved the narrator and his different voices for all. I did find some of this book dull but still love Cassandra Clare and can't wait to pick up the last book in this series and see how it ends!

Bella looks a little unsure, but I‘m ready to dive in to this one. I had a full day PD today, along with grades and evaluation evidence due, so I only had time to sneak in 50 pages at lunch. Finally sitting down to read - and looking forward to April break next week to finish the series!!
Just like with Clockwork Princess, I don‘t really want to read this π but simultaneously once I start I know I won‘t be able to read it fast enough. And again, I know the eventual ending for the main characters...but I don‘t want to deal with all of the emotions and stress in between π¬
Cassandra Clare, you are pure evil! Seriously, my heart can't take much more πππ... And now I'm glad I can jump right into the last book.

βBut you‘re the love I chose, Emma. Out of everyone in the world, out of everyone I‘ve ever known, I chose you. I‘ve always had faith in that choice. At the edge of everything, love and faith have always brought me back, and back to you.β
That ending ππππ
I can't bring myself to read the next book yet. I'm lucky I made it through 699 pages since Sunday. I don't think I can manage another 800+ π

Can I call in to work tomorrow so I can read all day? No? Darn... π
Started this after finishing my Chris Carter book this morning. Needed a little fantasy.
Jumping right in to a reread of Book Two. I first read it when we were moving house and remember barely anything except the end was sad. I‘m excited to read it again for the first time
Emma and Julian. Parabatai can't fall in love. ππ Cannot wait for the next in the series.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! There were many segments that i felt were drawn out but overall there were many twists and turns and an ending that truly wrecked me! She took a direction on many of the plots that I never expected. Already have the next book and can‘t wait to read it!
Just started this book today. I really love Cassandra Clare's books. What are your guys opinion on it? I just got back into reading again after a few years. Do you guys have any suggestions? I am more into books like The Dark Artifices series.
@BookishMarginalia Loved, loved, loved this book. It ended on a very negative note. Very sad ending. My favorite character is sick and a death of a child.

I am glad that this generation has writers who use their talent to show right from wrong. Cassandra Clare you hit it out of the park. Proud to be a fan. No one should be forced to a registration just because they are different than white, middle income Protestant even if you are rogue fairies. And I loved how Kit thought it sounded too much like history. Predators should still be registered. #learnempathythroughhistory
Finally some fun reading. #dogsoflitsy Oreo wants loving instead.
I just finished Lord of Shadow and that ending left me feeling stunned and sad. π there were several plots I really did not see coming and I enjoy when the story is not obvious. I‘m heading straight into the 3rd one !
Rating: 4/5

Daaaaamn that ending tho!! Ok so I‘m definitely going to have to pick up Queen of Air and Darkness very soon. Definitely agree with the majority that this series is the author‘s strongest work, and I really like the direction she‘s taking everything thus far. There was a little too much time spent on characters I‘m not as invested in, but overall this was super fun and wild, and like I said, THAT ENDING. Great way to finish my reading year! 4/5 βοΈ
Whoo. I spent almost 8 hours today finishing up this audiobook! Even with listening to it at 2.75 speed, it took me a while to get through! Rereading it, I still enjoyed it just as much as the first time, maybe more as I was trying to figure out foreshadowing for both the ending and the 3rd book(which I'm hoping to make my 1st read of 2019!). I'm not sure I'll get any more reading done tonight because of the emotional toll!
Picked these lovelies up at Sam's. I can't resist the book aisle no matter were I go. And I wonder why I have no money in my checking account. π€£πΈ
Reading this baby but i wont be able to finish it before the new year π
When a decision like that is made by a government, it emboldens those who are already prejudiced to speak their deepest thoughts of hate. They assume they are simply brave enough to say what everyone really thinks.

Last book of the year! This thing weighs like 12 pounds. But like most people, I thought the first book in this series was some of her best writing yet, so I‘m excited to get into the sequel. The final book just came out, too, so I gotta catch up (though I probably won‘t read that one for a little while). #nowreading
"Afraid of what is new and different, and filled with hatred like ice. She may seem ridiculous, Zara Dearborn, but do not make the mistake of underestimating her and her cohort." He looked back at the window. "Hate like that can tear down the world."
Yes I bought the hardcover and the paperback. Yes I have both sets. No im not crazy lol!

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue keeps getting moved to bottom of the stack. I doubt I'll have time to finish unless I decide to get audio version. β¬οΈ
