I‘ve seen that a lot of people dislike this book and I understand why. But here‘s the thing: part of the appeal of a horror film is to share in the helplessness of the characters. Therein lies the cleverness of this novel. If you are the type who needs your MC to be relatable and infallible then this book is not for you. If you‘re the type who loves the horror films Hendrix borrows so heavily from then I think you will enjoy it as much as I did.
And can we get a little commotion for the box… this is everything #creepyChristmas @Chrissyreadit
Leave it to @Chrissyreadit to be so creative. This picture does not begin to do this gift justice. I love it do much… thank you. #creepychristmas
Cat mamas don‘t take a relaxing reading baths without their sidekicks. Mine‘s name is Truman 📚
Hendrix is definitely a go-to for me now. Timely read for Halloween. 😂
After having to cancel our event with him last year due to Covid, finally got the honor of hosting Grady Hendrix. Do yourself a favor and find out when he‘ll be in your town. He‘s so much fun!
A fantastic, suspenseful novel of the lives of a “final girl”, a woman who was the final survivor of a slasher-esk attack.
Great as a light horror, mystery read.
Taking a reading break from house stuff ( tidying, sorting, Kondo-ing)
And best author photo ever!
I was a bit nervous as I had never read Grady Hendrix before, but boy am I glad I picked this one up! It totally read like a thriller movie and I loved every minute of it. Half way in I thought I knew who it was...man was I wrong. I never saw this ending coming.
Trying to finish this one off. I have a hot new release that just got delivered!
Mandatory snacks to keep me goin
I've seen a lot of mixed reviews on this one but I liked it. This isn't your slasher, this is the story AFTER the slasher. What happens to the Final Girls when their story is over? I highly recommend the physical copy here; there are some fun extras in between the chapters that add a little extra enjoyment to the book. If you're a fan of the '80's slasher, I think you'll enjoy this one 🗡🗡

I am definitely the target audience for this one so I enjoyed it despite some obvious lapses in the MC‘s character. It was a quick, fun, power to the sisterhood kind of read.
Cancel my everything!! So excited for this!
If you like 70‘s & 80‘s horror movies this book is for you.
And I actually bought some books!
Grady Hendrix is an incredible author, I‘m a big fan of his storytelling! Looking to start this one tonight!

Over-the-top humor/horror with an abundance of slasher movie Easter Eggs. I read this one in close proximity to Stephen Graham Jones‘ My Heart is a Chainsaw and liked that one better. But, if ur a slasher fan, you‘ll like them both. #ARC #Edelweiss
Watching this now. He is so funny!
Haul from one of the Half Price Books near me. Super excited for the Grady Hendrix. Though I have to say, my biggest pet peeve with some stores is the stickers they put on the covers. I hate the residue and in some cases it can just ruin the cover.
Anyways excited for this haul ☺️
I knew it was a long shot, but I was really hoping The Final Girl Support Group would have been at least an add-on for #BOTM .
This month‘s main picks did nothing for me, so I #skipped
What did you all pick this month?
