Starting the #ReverseReadathon with the tagged book. It‘s good! #Deweys
I really like this author's writing, it's humorous, fun and fast paced. I loved 'The Martian' but this one was too deep into the science for me to understand the value. The story itself was good and enjoyable. If you can get beyond the science (or enjoy it) you will like this book.
#BookReport
Managed to finish not only my last audio hold but also the chunkster I was working on. I even managed to sneak in a third book while I was at it. Highlight was definitely the tagged.
#WeeklyForecast
My goal this week is to finish or at least make good headway into Watership Down. I need to step up my BookSpin backlog game before it gets unmanageable.
I read this in two sittings and enjoyed every minute. Each of Weir‘s books feels like a love letter to science and this is no exception. I like that the backstory of the project slowly comes to light as Dr Grace regains his memories.
This 2022 Hugo Best Novel nominee was a low pick for me. I loved The Martian but this novel seemed to mix a lot of realistic science with totally implausible situations. Still, the main character's enthusiasm and optimism was very infectious!

Okay, I just started this to see what everyone is talking about and I get it! It completely sucked me in and now it‘s almost midnight and I definitely won‘t be going to sleep anytime soon😅📖🙌🏼
5⭐
Since I‘m practically the last person ever to read/listen to this…all I really need to say is pretty much everything you‘ve ever heard about this book is true. It does have a lot of scientific elements to it…lot‘s of math…but the story is oddly heartwarming and if you‘ve read this you know exactly what I‘m talking about. There are parts to this story that are so good that it more than makes up for any boredom I had with the sciencey crap.
I really loved Project hail mary. It's an engineer's wet dream come true.
Check out our podcast about it.

I took the afternoon off to do some yard work and cleaning but it‘s obvious my time is better spent here.
Time for Books and Brews meeting with the Roger's Public Library. Can't wait to talk about this one! #rogersread
I totally fell behind in March...I anticipated more reading and less driving my kids around for spring break! So, I‘m just now starting my March #bookspin pick. I‘ve heard all good things!

Probably one of my new favorite books. Both heart breaking and heart warming at the same time. If you liked the movie/book The Martian (movie was with Matt Damon), you‘ll love this book.
This was a good book and I enjoyed it. It did drag in some spots and whenever it got to the mathematical stuff I skimmed a bit. I wasn‘t 100% satisfied with the ending, but it made sense. I needed more closure, lol. But that‘s life. The main character was likable and I loved his little sidekick. If you like sci-fi, you‘ll love it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ½
For fans of the Martian, we have another adventure where the solo scientist is going to science the shit out of it. If you loved or hated the Martian, you'll feel the same about this one, though I think Andy has gotten better all around.
I loved the Martian and I loved this as well.
#OuterSoace This one stayed with me a long time after finishing the book. Loved the ending.

I accidentally clicked an ad on my color by numbers app and ended on on the Kindle daily deals. I have trying not to buy anything ass money is super tight right now…but I ended up buying Project Hail Mary, Malibu Rising , and Between Two Kingdoms.
I know I‘m late to this party, but chiming in to say Project Hail Mary is SO good. I‘m reading my very last #tob22 book so picked whatever struck my fancy for my latest listen and this was it. Great pick by me. 😂 The narrator was excellent and the production did a really good job with the alien voice, very clever.
My #bookspin and #doublespin for March!
@TheAromaofBooks Do these also qualify for the #almostachunksterchallenge too? 🤣
My #topread of #february was tagged!
I had 3 5⭐️ reads, but this was definitely my favorite. Between Razorblade Tears and Project Hail Mary I have to pick RT as I‘m still thinking about it over a month later.

A masterpiece in every sense of the term. Weir blends humanism, empathy, and raw science to stunning effect. The result is a book that earns its place among the science-fiction greats, and one that will undoubtedly endure for years to come.
Better than The Martian in my opinion, and that's saying alot!! It made the science so tangible that I understood things I wouldn't have even tried to comprehend. My teen loved it as well, and we had such fun discussing it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I did not expect to find this story so endearing. I thoroughly enjoyed every interaction between every character. I found myself saying "huh, I didn't know that" many times and Googling information on things like neutrinos and time dilations. I don't know how a movie would bring justice to this epic space odyssey so I don't think I'll watch the movie.
There also happens to be a lot of epic fanart of Rocky out there.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
What a fabulously upbeat story. Lots of science!!!! Science!!!!! Rocky! And Engineering!!!!!
The sun is dying with an infection of some sort, and all Earth is activated to figure out what the heck is going on and stop it. And it ends up that a high school science teacher, who doesn't want to go off to space to save the world, is the one true Earth hero.
Starting the latest Andy Weir Book.
#FabulousFebruary
January wrap up 😊
Favorites were Project Hail Mary (this was definitely my number one this month), Young Jane Young, Tender is the Flesh, The Golden Hour and The Night She Disappeared.
The ONLY book to WIN in 2 catagories. Project Hail Mary takes home the award for the best Sci-Fi/Fantasy AND the best AUDIOBOOK!
This book is another hit from this author. Some of the science stuff went WAY over my head but I didn‘t even mind. It was just so well written and believable for me and just genuine. I loved this book. A mission to space go save the world. Aliens. Humor. Suspense. I didn‘t think it was possible to fill the void after having read The Martian and loving it so much, but Andy Weir did it again and did not disappoint.
What an amazing book. I loved the Martian and it was as no surprise at all that Andy Weir brought all the feels. I don‘t even feel like I need to say more. If you‘ve read it, you know. If you haven‘t, you need to.
🤣🤣🤣 I am having a cheesy good time with this book so far. Kind of just what the doctor ordered during this sad winter of plague.
🎧📚 How was this so cute?? Charming #hardscifi is not something you stumble on everyday. 100% recommend. So grateful for my writer friend Sarah who recommended this to me during our walk along Ebey‘s Landing on Whidbey Island last fall 🌊 #audiobooks #sciencefiction
4 stars for Rocky!! A man attempts to recover memories of how he wound up on a last ditch mission to save earth from a strange alien microbe in this sci-fi novel. It falls into some of the issues Weir has had before--over explaining his science and not a strong enough editorial hand-- but overall I really enjoyed it. Especially Rocky. All the stars for Rocky.
Thanks for including this one on your #NewYearWhoDis list @TheSpineView @monalyisha
Have a migraine today (second of the week boo), but I should finish my first #NewYearWhoDis pick from @TheSpineView ! I'll probably wait until my brain is a bit more functional tomorrow to post a review.

By far my favorite book that I read last year!
First Audiobook and first book of 2022, can never go wrong with Andy Weir
Hi folks! It's Tuesday so time for the #Two4Tuesday questions. Thanks to everyone who played last week and happy Tuesday!
1️⃣ I like them both. There are times that I love a suspenseful story that moves quickly and times when the plot develops slowly that I can't get enough of.
2️⃣ Probably my favorite book of 2021 that was plot driven. Though the characters were well done also.

Library book haul including my first #NewYearWhoDis pick from @TheSpineView and a few others I've been wanting to read
I enjoyed pieces of this, particularly the beginning and end, but it was way too long and repetitive and I lost interest in the middle. I put the book down for months, only picking it back up to finish it before the end of the year. I did enjoy the overall story, it just should have been shortened quite a bit. The audio version is well done.

This book was not only my favorite in May but one of my favorites of the year. If not #1 in the top 5.
I love this kind of old-school science adventure that throws unsolvable problems at its heroes, who then engineer solutions. This one just keeps it coming with the puzzles and the clever what-if-we-did-thisses.
Yay Andy Weir! Yay science!
#12booksof2021
My pick for #may is an adorably fun sci-fi. I still think I prefer The Martian of Weir's works, but this one is a very close second.

An excellent choice-both the book and the chocolates! Thank you @ncsufoxes for a wonderful gift! I plan to sample the “bold, silky, dark” chocolate at the earliest respectable hour this morning.
