pickI sped through this last night in one sitting. It was a marvelous slow burn of a story set in a world much like our own, about a girl in a community along the Gulf who sends a message in a bottle, and the political prisoner imprisoned over a volcano who receives it. This was so so so good. Lots to digest here about colonialism, classism, justice, and community. Highly recommended.
Finally caught up on my #LitsyLove. I'm very sorry to everyone who wrote to me in February and you haven't gotten a reply yet. 😅
I‘ve said it before and I‘ll say it again. I have the world‘s best pen pal and I‘m not giving her up. I‘ve been trying to figure out this mystery package that USPS has been tracking. It arrived today and inside was this box. Inside the box was a lovely message from @Mitch After I saw the card, I promptly closed the box of goodies and will reopen it on Christmas. Thank you, my dear friend. 😘😘 It‘s definitely a happy box.

@Mitch I‘m off to a great start. I‘m sorry. I did not get to the post office on Saturday to send out your first letter. My life is one big dumpster fire at the moment and I didn‘t get to the post office at lunch today either. I promise, I will get the letter out by this Saturday at the absolute latest.
