julesG @BethM Yes and Yes. The quote is very apt and I was thinking of it earlier (my version is just "grey" instead of "gray" ?). You can read the Discworld books in any order, except for the Tiffany Aching sub-series, but Carpe Jugulum is not part of that subseries 2w

wanderinglynn @BethM there is no one way to read Discworld. There are different paths. It‘s almost like a choose your own adventure depending on what you want. This is one of my favorites, if not my most favorite, in the Discworld series. Pratchett hit the nail on the head again. His take on government is spot on. As usual, there are laughs throughout the story. 4.5 ⭐
