pickI did not want to put this one down! The MC is an unreliable narrator but you also don‘t know if you can trust the other characters. And then the last 1/4 of the book got pretty twisty!

My August update for #litsycrafters. Did these 3 cross stitches (Cobra Kai took longer than I thought it would 😂) and me and my daughter started making friendship bracelets for the Billie Eilish concert we‘re going to in October.

The five remaining friends can each have their own “funeral” with the goal that nothing is left unsaid and they reaffirm how much they mean to each other. Heartbreaking, but also positive.

pan#unpopularopinion but the movie is way better! I found book Holly bratty, selfish, and completely unlikable. And the book is a lot different from the movie, which I do love and adore. Capote‘s writing is good, except for the blatant racism and homophobia. For such a short book, it took me forever to read it because I just wasn‘t excited to pick it up again.

pickA fictionalization of the real 11-day disappearance of Agatha Christie, which when found, she said she didn‘t know/remember where she was or why she had left, and stuck to that story for the rest of her life. It‘s told from the POV of Christie‘s husband‘s mistress, Nan, which I think was a brilliant decision! Like a Christie mystery, this too had some awesome twists!

pickLoved this one! I laughed so much but also had many feels, as some heavy subjects were dealt with. Lucy, 26, does not have her life in order. Broke, a string of horrible dates, and a dead-end career has her wishing to skip to the good part of her life, where she has money, her person, and the career of her dreams. Her wish is granted, and suddenly Lucy is 42, but she starts to wonder if perhaps all of life‘s ups and downs are the good parts.
pickWow! This was powerful. If you like dystopian fiction and haven‘t read this, I recommend it!
