So cute! Zelda, a witch with secrets, has been living a quiet life for the last decade. Peter, a vampire with amnesia, shows up at Zelda‘s door with a letter from her old friend Reggie, asking her to help Peter. Peter‘s journal full of cryptic notes is the only thing they have to possibly help regain his memory, so they hit the road and follow the clues.

This is a fantastic audio production! And since it‘s #bannedbooksweek, it seemed like a reread would be fitting, given the current state of the US. 😡

I love this production…Dan Stevens does a great job narrating! This is one of my favorites and I like to reread it this time of year.

Went out today during the golden hour to get some photos…this is about 5 minutes from my house.

This is the spookiest book on my tbr for this month…I am a little scared to read it! 😂👻
#sundayfunday
This was enjoyable, but for me, not as much as the 1st book (this is the 2nd). I love the Irish setting but the vampire book club was not very present in this book. 🤔
I‘m wondering if I should continue the series…

Caught this little beauty on my lantana plant last week! 🦋

Had a really good month of reading in September! 6 bingos 🎉🎉🎉
Happy October, Littens! Put some fall decorations on a bookshelf…it makes me happy when I look at it! 🎃🍂
@julieclair Here are my October picks for the reading challenges! 🎃
#readordonate - The Woman in the Library
#fictionaltraveler - Tom Lake (takes place in a cherry orchard and apparently the trees aren‘t only literal but also symbolic)
#thematiccozies - Chapter and Curse
Pride and Prejudice is one of my all-time favorite books, and I enjoyed this full cast dramatization!

Interesting listen! Social commentary from the POV of bee Flora 717, a lowly sanitation worker who works her way up and eventually into the Queen‘s inner sanctum, and discovers secrets of the hive.
#tbrtarot - book where an animal is a main character

Recently found this hidden gem - a waterfall in one of the local parks in Raleigh! It used to be a working mill and it‘s now a cute little spot to take in some natural beauty.
#beautybreak
I‘ve read some other books in this series and thought I should read the very first one. I enjoyed it! The coffee drink descriptions are to die for!

Carla, a world traveler with no time for love, goes to Ireland for her best friend‘s wedding. Best man and the groom‘s brother, Eamon, is tasked with picking her up in Dublin and driving her to the wedding locale to help with wedding planning. Instead, they decide to take Eamon‘s Land Rover on adventures through the Irish countryside, and to have a vacation fling. It‘s easy-breezy until it isn‘t.
#fictionaltraveler - English-speaking country
I was hooked from the start! Rachel‘s daughter is kidnapped and the only way to get her back is to kidnap another child. There are rules to follow and if the chain is broken, Rachel and her daughter will die. This was a crazy (in a good way) exploration of a parent‘s love and the dark places they will go to protect their child.
#bookspinbingo - got a 3rd bingo!

Very good but also will make you very angry! Some TWs so be aware. Ali has a crush on a popular soccer player and at a party, something happens. After, her attacker asks his best friend, a popular girl, to “manage” Ali and the situation. 🤬

I love Frankenstein as well as a good retelling! In the near future, reanimation has been regulated, but POTUS (needing a political win) decides to crack down on the “stitchers.” The story is told from the POV of an unnamed paralegal, a stitcher still navigating his new world, under a more hostile political climate.
This was eerily accurate to what‘s going on in the US right now!

I haven‘t read very many pirate stories, so I‘m no expert, but I really enjoyed this one!
#sundayfunday
You gotta love Vera! She‘s such a great character. This one has some heavy subject matter but it‘s handled well.
#bookspinbingo - got a 2nd bingo!
A good follow up to The Cheerleaders! A few years after the events of the first book, a football player on Sunnybrook‘s championship football team ends up in a coma after a mysterious “accident,” and student reporter Hadley starts investigating. Secrets surrounding the football team come to light, and the truth goes much deeper than Hadley bargained for.

My preorder arrived today! So excited to read this one come holiday season! 🎄
I really couldn‘t stand the narrator‘s voice for the MMC (it‘s narrated by the author), so that detracted some enjoyment for me. The story itself was good, but this romance was clean. Like squeaky clean. I like at least some spice in my romances! Overall, this just didn‘t work for me.
#bookspinbingo
So good! Mirror Lake, NC is experiencing a drought that is drying up the lake, uncovering buried secrets. Hazel returns to town for her father‘s funeral, and is surprised to learn that she is the sole inheritor of her dad‘s house, which her brothers aren‘t happy about. Soon family secrets start to unravel.
#bookspinbingo - got a bingo!

Was this prequel to the American Royals series in any way necessary? No, it wasn‘t. But I love being in the world of the Washingtons, so I‘m not mad about it! 😂

I didn‘t see the Busybodies collection in the database, so I tagged my favorite. Six short stories written by some of the best mystery writers out there. All were enjoyable!
#bookspinbingo
So good! I read this is one sitting because I didn‘t want to put it down!
#bookspinbingo - this is my #doublespin for this month!

Very cute cozy! Quinn moves from Seattle to a small village in Ireland after breaking a witchy rule. She‘s to take over running the village bookstore, and literally stumbles over a dead body on her first day. On top of trying to solve the murder, she also finds that a vampire book club meets in secret at her shop.

Loved this one! Moriarty can weave stories and characters together like no one else. And this one is very thought provoking.

I truly loved this series! A good balance of sweet and spicy! Kinda sad that there won‘t be any more Lovelight books, at least according to the internet.
#bookspinbingo - this is my #bookspin for this month!
This series has been a total guilty pleasure! So much like a soap opera…but this was a good end to the series!

Love Ali Hazelwood! Loved the Italian setting and the two MCs as well! And Eli and Rue from Not in Love are part of the cast of characters 😆
#bookspinbingo - got a bingo!
Set in Ireland (and I have a weakness for Irish settings 😂) so this is my pick for September‘s #fictionaltraveler!
