#ReadYourKindle Picks
I made a slight mistake. 😌 I accidentally wrote That's Not My Name twice on my list and it got picked twice 😅 So I substituted Phantasma for it since it's been sitting in my KU queue for months.

#Two4tuesday
1. Oh yes.
2. So many. Babysitter's Club, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Goosebumps & Fear Street.
@TheSpineView
We all have our struggles, and all we can do is face the ones that stand before us.
#WhereAreYouMonday
Today I'm in the world of Aedrea. It's a fantasy world full of Elves, Dwarves, Humans, Halflings and lots of monsters.
May Wrap-up
I read a crazy amount this month. 😳
12 were from the Ice Planet Barbarian Series
4 were from the Witchwood Boys Series
And 4 were Horror books from my TBR pile.
I had 4 DNFs and started 4 others.
*Quote from The Arcane Taste Of The Witchwood Boys (book not in library)
Spicy Book Bracket
May Pick is Ice Planet Barbarians and my 1st Wild Card Pick is The Witchwood Boys are Trending. I read the entire series of both IPB and The Witchwood Boys this month. IPB has a very SciFi storyline with lots of Alpha behavior, fated mates and spice. Witchwood is Supernatural with a little horror and a lot of dirty spice. They are 2 very different types of romance but I really liked both.
May Pick is Dead of Winter
It won it's spot by default because most of my reads this month were romance, DNFs or just OK. I did like Dead of Winter. It was a very Agatha Christie style murder mystery in the snow but I was able to guess the killer pretty early in the book so I wish it had more mystery.
#BookBracket2025
For June I decided to read some LGBTQ books for pride 🌈 I went into StoryGraph and filtered my TBR list to include LGBTQ tags and these were the first 20 that popped up. I let my d20 decide which 4 to start with.
May #ReadYourKindle complete
I loved Ice Planet Barbarians. I read 12 of the books in the series within a week. Both Dollhouse and The City Grew Monsters were horror books that were good but I wanted more from both. I couldn't get into Promise You Won't Tell.

#Wondrouswednesday
1. Alexandra. Idk I've just always liked it.
2. Our current dog is Dexter for Dexter Morgan 🔪
Our previous animals were named for F1 drivers (Max, Kimi) and TV characters (Asher- How to Get Away with Murder, Summer- Rick & Morty)
3. I like it when a nickname is made from a play on their name. Ex: Sin for Vincent, Rocky for Rockwell, Bash for Sebastian.
@Eggs
#Tuesdaytunes
I've been listening to these 4 songs on repeat for the last few weeks. They are from female artists/ female fronted bands but each is a different genre of rock/metal.
@TieDyeDude
#Two4tuesday
1. Its a tie between the Ice Planet Barbarians series and The Witchwood Boys series. I devoured both series this month.
2. Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil VE - Schwab

#JumpStartSummer update
I finished Dead of Winter and really liked it, even though I figured out the ending beforehand. I DNF'd 2 of the books from my library thriller/horror haul. Just Like Home and The Horror Movie were not for me. I couldn't get into the story and I deeply disliked the MCs. I'm starting The Queen today and really hoping I like this one.
@TheSpineView
I was updating my Black Dagger Brotherhood collection today and my husband asked about my labels. I explained this series is extremely long and has spinoff books but they don't come numbered so instead of looking it up, I just numbered them myself. He asked why the books didn't come numbered
Good question. Does anybody else do this to series that arent numbered on them? And why don't they number long series on the spines?

Library Haul! 📚
All my holds came through at once.
#Two4Tuesday
1. Latin. I learned a little bit while in school because medical terminology uses a lot of Latin, but learning roots, prefixes and suffixes isn't the same as learning to speak a language.
2. I haven't read any but my husband has some German books. There is a Grimms Fairytale that is German on the left and English on the right.
@TheSpineView
#ThriftHaul
Picked up a few books at the thrift store yesterday. I love how I picked three very different books ❤️📖
#WhereAreYouMonday
This week I'm in the woods in Australia. They never name the town, they only describe it as small, mountainous and inland.
#Two4tuesday
1. Yes. I was going to guess 500 but decided to go ahead and count. Turns out we have 916 books currently. 😱 I don't know how that happened lol
2. I only finished like 4 books this month and they were all OK.
@TheSpineView
I ran errands with my husband today. I asked for coffee and food. We went to a Japanese sandwich shop I've been dying to try out. We got a few sandwiches to try which were all good, and this strawberry sandwich was amazing 🍓 ❤️ 10/10
Spending Sunday with my kiddo while she gets a new tattoo. It's going to be a few hours long session so I'm getting some reading in.

#wondrouswednesday
1. Dexter is my 2.5 year old pom. He is a cuddle bug, likes to dress up, ride in the car (he has a booster seat on our center console) and loves to be wherever we are.
2. Both. During Vet tech school I read lots of case studies, animal behavior books and vet med text books. I also used to have a huge collection of Berenstain Bears books when I was little.
3. Done
@Eggs
#Two4tuesday
1. During Ren faire season I need it to tip all the performers.
2. Yes in the series. Malfoy comes from money & was raised to use it to get what he wants. Harry grew up poor & uses his money carefully & with purpose.
Ex: The Malfoys buy the entire quidditch team brooms so Draco can be seeker. When the Firebolt is first released, Harry can't imagine spending the money to buy it when he has a perfectly good broom.

#WhereAreYouMonday
I'm in Brazil today for the 3rd book of The Four Horseman series.

Updating my book tracker with March's reads. Since the stickers are 4 books per sheet, I have to wait to print the last 2 books of March.
March Wrap-up
I read 14 Books this month.
Top reads were Assistant to the Villain, Pestilence, War and All the Little Raindrops.
#Two4tuesday
