#LittensLoveSJM #TOG - a reminder that we are starting our foray into SJM‘s other series, Throne of Glass, starting on Friday. All are welcome to join us - just let me know if you want to be tagged in my daily posts. I‘ve heard that although it takes a few books to really hit its stride, some people actually prefer #TOG to #ACOTAR - looking forward to finding out with you all!
This was a fantastic read! Richly drawn characters, a complex, edge-of-your-seat plot, and a world full of mystery and hidden magic. Celaena is more textured in this book, and I liked her more, I think. There are some real stand out side characters — Nehemiah, please — and an enjoyably dark and gritty challenge to solve. Maybe a touch slow-paced at times, and I‘m definitely glad I read the prequel first, but overall definitely a win.
Tackle the TBR 🤓📚

#LittensLoveSJM @LitsyEvents I wanted to post this early since I‘ve seen some interest. After we finish the final instalment of #ACOTAR, I will be hosting the #TOG series by SJM. I‘d like to say that I‘ve heard great things about the series but most say it takes a couple books to really get into the world. She started writing the series as a teen so keep that in mind. Also, there are different views on how to read the series: ⬇️
4.75/5 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌖
“Libraries were full of ideas—perhaps the most dangerous and powerful of all weapons.”

Here we go again… another Sarah J. Maas series to get hooked on.
I enjoyed this book. I liked the characters and the plot of the book. I rated this book a 5 out of 5 stars.
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Mass. 7,3/10 rating. This was not what I expected. While it was good, it was not enough for me to get invested in it. Will not continue the saga.
Finally, my first SJM! I liked it but I didn‘t love it as much as everyone seems to. In the first 300 pages, despite mysterious killings in the castle and death defying tests for Celaena to become the king‘s champion, there seems to be no narrative urgency. Not to mention the idiosyncrasies of mentioning our heroine causing her door hinges to squeak as protection but then being surprised by everyone stopping in unannounced for pages afterward. ⬇️
So much fun rereading the series!! I can‘t wait for my favourite character to join the series 🥹❤️ #catsoflitsy
This might be ambitious but the end of the year TBR is locked in. I have a plan!
Desolation Canyon and The Widow (already about 1/2 done) are my 15 hours Spotify listens. Throne of Glass, I expect to finish this weekend and then I can start Wreck the Halls. Sasaki and Miyano is something I can definitely breeze through!
Wish me luck!!
Throne of Glass was so good, I can‘t wait to continue Celaena‘s story.🗡️ Plus this collector‘s edition is stunning. 🤩💜
On book 📕 239 for the year! 😃
Nothing like a hurkle durkle with a book and coffee to start the morning.
I enjoyed this one. It was definitely more political intrigue than romantasy. I am hopeful the next book has a bit more of the love story - however after reading ACOTAR I don‘t know which way the “romance” will go. I‘m on pins & needles because of that. 😂 4.5 💫
This book series ripped my heart in half and stitched it back together multiple times. I don‘t think I will ever fully heal.
My friend finally got me to join the SJM hype train. It took awhile for me to get hooked, but once it got me, I wasn‘t leaving. Lots of YA tropes with this one, but I find it charming overall and there were several moments I was on edge because of everything that was happening. MUST. READ. Can‘t say it enough
It will change your life for the better ! 🙇🏻♀️
NOT overhyped
Everyone told me I‘d like this series better than ACOTAR, and they weren‘t wrong…that being said, it‘s definitely VERY YA.
Entertaining fantasy novel- Hunger Games with a little Harry Potter and Dan Brown mixed in. Escapism reading for sure!
#summerreading in Seville 🍊💃Spain and the view from our glorious apartment balcony of the cathedral, made a mistake with this series of books 📚 by starting on the second in the series 😣hate it when that happens ! Happy 😃 summer reading 📖 folks 🥰
Well, I officially began this journey. I enjoyed the first one and immediately started the second. Whoops!
Took me a bit to get into. But as an audio book, it helped. It was a slow start. Had to renew it a few times from the libby app. 😊
Fantasy series lovers, your next world of adventure awaits! 😌

WHY didn‘t I get the second book before I was done, so I could keep reading!?! Loved the first book of this series, and cannot wait to read more!
I've read and loved several of this author's books now and would not have believed it. I'm not one to enjoy this genre. Or so I thought. I actually find myself looking forward to reading them. They really take me away from everything. Into a world of magic. Not always good magic but also not bad magic. Just a divergent from the other books I enjoy.

And so my journey through this series begins, I can already tell I‘m going to love it. Sneaky hints of magic, sinister baddies, and of course the romance! It‘s going to be a ride. Sarah J Maas knows how to build a world.
Tonight's plans : comfy rebdpng while listenning to a vinyle
I‘m on crown of midnight and I love it I read throne of glass first and then I read assassin‘s Blade but you could‘ve read assassin‘s blade first, that‘s how you‘re supposed to read it. I loved all the books so far and have given them all 5 stars and I could definitely see her writing and getting better and better the more I read. definitely cried at the end of assassin‘s blade.
This book is so addicting! I read the fourth book of the series, and now I'm reading the first; they are so good.
#ItTakesAllKinds Day7 War
The story follows the journey of Celaena Sardothien, a teenage assassin in a corrupt kingdom with a tyrannical ruler, the King of Adarlan. As the tale progresses, Celaena forms unexpected bonds and uncovers a conspiracy amidst her adventures. (Wiki)
Throughout the entire series, the kingdoms are at war with one another.

I was intimidated to read this when I first started because there were lots of exclamation points But it was an amazing book and I‘m shocked because she started writing this book when she was 16! I felt like the main character really did not feel like an assassin But I‘m gonna read the prequel after this, I already have it, I‘m very excited
I get to hang out with a cat this week! Saki‘s a real sweetie. Yesterday he sat on my lap for a whole thirty seconds. #blessed
That happened while I finished the back half of THRONE OF GLASS. My feelings for this book have slid all around the spectrum. I wasn‘t impressed with my ARC, then I rather liked it when I reread it after I did like CROWN OF MIDNIGHT, then I loved it when I reread it ahead of KINGDOM OF ASH, and now I rather like it again.
I loved this book. I must say it did not affect me much emotionally, but I was hooked from the start. It was hard to put down throughout. It had my heart feeling like it was about to skip a beat at one point but it still lacked that huge emotional impact that characterizes SJM. I think I loved it most because of the story plot, and feeling like I relate to the main character‘s personality, or at least she reflects how I want to be:sweet and fierce
#WeeklyFavorites
I forgot to post this sooner. Another series started. I‘m not sure why I waited so long to read this.
I went to Barnes & Noble today to go shopping for my birthday! 🎂 🥳 I already had Assassin's Blade and Throne of Glass, so just needed to get books 2-7. I will be reading them in this order, with Assassin's Blade first, and yes! I will also be doing the tandem read! Peep my crochet hooks in the back, lol
Missing the views but not the responsibility of being in charge on the sixth grade camp trip last week! Had some time to finish a couple of books though while sleeping little. 😂 One book completed there was Throne of Glass. Typical but solid YA fantasy—I enjoyed it. Tough, strong, smart protagonist gathering her allies while kicking butt. Celaena is a convicted assassin with a chance at freedom via an evil King‘s competition.
Well, I‘m hooked! A really captivating story. Maas does such an exceptional job of world-building, and developing characters who seem so real. I‘ve already bought the second book in the series.
Books by Maas are usually picks for me and yet I kept putting this series off. I‘m happy I have finally listened to book 1. Great characters, world building and story. I‘ve put books 2 & 3 & 0.1-0.5 on hold. Now I just have to wait for them to come in vs buying them. 😳

I need something different to read on this cool, dreary day. I loved the Court of Thorns and Roses aero, so I thought I‘d give this a try.
