Book 8 of 2023 done! Two books read and six books listened to. I think the goal will be 12 books read and 24 in total for the year. This one was fine. There's a strong anti-bullying theme to the book but the ending feels a little flat. The main character has no chance to really make up for her actions.
Samantha Kingston is living the last day of her life seven times during one miraculous week, she will untangle the mystery surrounding her death—and discover the true value of everything she is in danger of losing.

It was a captivating story. I could not put the book down because I just wanted to know what was next. The end of the story, makes you feel something. The book is emotional but by the end you will feel a satisfaction and a new appreciation for your own life. This is a great read. The movie doesn‘t compare to the book, but do they ever? 🧐 #review #worthreading #emotional #appreciatelife #riveting #mustread #booksarebetterthanmovies #YA
If I had written this rewiew 200 pages ago, it would most probably have been a so-so. I felt it was a regular #groundhoundday type of story. But there was a twist I hadn't seen coming that made me hooked to the book until the end. Great #YA book. Totally worth it if you like the genre.
❤ What a nice way to end a #wednesday! ❤#cozyambience #yareads #groundhoundday #fireplace #kidsarefinallyinbed
We are finally getting temperatures warm enough to start reading outside. Yeah! #lunchtimereading #underthesun #spring #perksofworkingfromhome
I've got so many books on my TBR that it was a difficult choice. But here's what I was in the mood for on this beautiful #Easter sunday. 🐰
"so many things become beautiful when you really look"
"A good friend keeps your secrets for you. A best friend helps you keep your secrets."
Denise!! Thank you for this sweet birthday happy!! This one has been on my list for a while! Can‘t wait to read it!! 🎊🎉📚❤️🥳

I listened to a couple chapters of this on audio and I don‘t want to listen to it anymore.

I loved Lauren Oliver's book called VANISHING GIRLS, but I feel disappointed with this book.
⭐⭐
I know this book is supposed to make you think about how your actions affect other people, which is good but this book was not for me. I was not in the mood to relive High School. While I suppose it's realistic, I don't think it sets a good example. I think listening to it on audio made it worse. Next time I'll stick to historical YA. #TripleSpin. @TheAromaofBooks #YAApril @megnews
Loved this book and how it makes you think about life and the choices you make. Sam was extremely well written. 5/5

The idea of this book has been used over and over again, yet somehow the author managed to recreate the idea and fit it into something completely natural, that the book feels oddly supernatural. Once again a meaningful book that definitely gave me a new perspective of life. The character development is unbelievable, and the movie even does justice to the book so I would reccomend that as well.
Finished Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver as my final read of the #NEWTsReadathon2019 and I‘m still swooning over it three days later. You guys. All. The. Feels. Two thumbs way up.
Love the cover❤️❤️❤️read this at the airport four months ago
I normally do not read YA (read this for a reading challenge). This one was rather thought-provoking, however. A popular high-school senior is on her way home from a party when she dies in a car accident. But then she wakes up again the next day…and the next, for an entire week. Each day she has an opportunity to see how her actions affect the lives of others around her. It‘s kind of like the plot of “Groundhog Day,” but for teens.
“I shiver, thinking how #easy it is to be totally wrong about people—to see one tiny part of them and confuse it for the whole, to see the cause and think it‘s the effect or vice versa.”

They say that just before you die your whole life flashes before your eyes, but that's not how it happens for me.
I see only my greatest hits. The things I want to remember, and be remembered for...
Life's too short to spend it on books that don't wow me. Ditch.
Listening through the Libby App while cleaning. Added bonus? Checking off another book in my TBR stack while getting part of my to-do-list done. #bookaddict #books #AmReading 📚🧐🎧
Mean Girls meets Groundhog Day spun this story of a vapid, teenage girl who changes over the course of the book, reliving her last day alive. While there were some beautiful quotes in this, it was way to angsty and too much kissing for my liking. Which is saying something because I love my YA! Only 3 stars from me on this one, sadly.
Also, there were some trigger subjects in this book I wasn't expecting and it caught me off guard.
I love starting a new audiobook on a Monday. Gives me a happy feeling on a tiresome first day of the week!
I couldn't go ahead. It seemed. Like a childish book.

I always enjoy Oliver‘s writing, and even though I liked this book, I did find it very repetitive.
On a side note, look how cute this picture is. 😍
I really wanted to like this but I found myself slogging through just for the sake of finishing it. In the end, I found the narrator annoying and didn‘t care about any of the characters or what happened to them. My mind was made up to bail when I started listening to the next audiobook in my queue and was much more engaged than I had ever been in this story.
One of the favourites, so easy to read, well written. Just a must because after this book you might look at things maybe a little different
I actually want to rate this 3.5 but that‘s not an option. I think it was a good read and I was involved with the main character. I just didn‘t care for the ending. Maybe it‘s me. I don‘t want to spoil it or anything but it was s good book. It made me think. Every decision you make whether it‘s a good or bad one has consequences. Smiling at a stranger could change that person‘s entire day. We need to be more aware of how we treat people.
This is my first read of April. I finally used my TBR jar!! 😍😍😍😍
