I took Henry to the library after lunch hoping they had a Dog Man book he hasn't read yet. He lucked out. We came home with all of these plus the one I couldn't photograph cause he was already reading it.

it was not good got really bored all though out the book
5✨ Such a funny series! It has “Flip-o-Rama‘s” that my partner chuckled at me while seeing me reading. The animation is simple, the story wording is childlike, and I just love that it incorporated other stories and child games such as: Flat Stanley and Rock,Paper, Scissors. Plus it‘s so SHINY! Read for #roaringwolf (Just for Fun) Green on the cover. Plus I got a bingo with this one. #bookspinbingo
Possibly the most popular book in the series at my library. It at least the most often lost...
My kid can tie his shoes-finally! And his desire for a new Dog Man book is what motivated him to learn! Yay for new skills and the love of books! #kidlit #chapterbooks #humor #newlifeskill
My reading buddy loves her in the beach! #raisingreaders
Reading before bed! 💤 My 8 year old is rereading Dog Man Unleashed and my 6 year old is quickly making his way through the series for the first time. His very first “longer” chapter books. Only 2 more to go!

My son read while we waited for his brother to get out of an appointment. It‘s been wild to see how much his reading improved over the course of the school year! He‘s fixated on chapter books right now. Both he and his brother had fallen in love with bookmarks too. #blackboyjoy #boysreadtoo #kidsoflitsy #librarianmom
Happy Weekend, Littens! We arrived home safe from Hawaii & are trying to settle back in to real life. I am fighting off a mini-cold & haven't gone back to work yet. On Thurs, I volunteered at my Niece's book fair & was reminded of 2 things: 1) I love when kids get excited about reading! 2) I'm still happy with my choice not to have children of my own. 😂🤗📚
What's new with you?
When an eight year old is too quiet, that usually means trouble. However he was outside reading from his favorite book series
This book is Dog Man Unleashed its the second dog man im still reading it and you need to read the first one to get this one or else it wont make sense. I would recommend this book im only have way in it and I would already recommend the series "dog man" the author is trying to explain how two kids would write a comic book together.
I got to meet Dav Pilkey last night, y'all! He is such a wonderful speaker and sweet man!
So I have been having the debate with my son that he can read all of the comic books he wants during the day but I want him to read "chapter books" at night.
Am I just being weird about thinking a chapter book will help him relax or should I just be happy he's reading in general? ? (He's 8)
Nothing like arguing with your five year old about which Dog Man book she owns, in the middle of the school book fair, to get you going on making her own LibraryThing catalogue 😂
Ending all future arguments tah 👏🏻 day.
My 6 year old read this entire book before school this morning. He gave it 5 stars. 😄 I‘m so proud of him and all of his hard work. He‘s absolutely crushing first grade! 👏🏻 And I‘m thrilled that he enjoys reading for pleasure and not just because he has to. What a sweetie! 💚 #raisingreaders
This series is so much fun to read together with my son. We take turns reading the different characters. In this one, dog man must take on flat petey and try to foil his evil plans. Great book for kids who are beginning readers (ages 5-8).
My favorite part was when Dog Man went to Penelope‘s pets.
#BirthdayBooks per my son‘s request. Always pleased when my kids put books on their wish lists.
"It looks like jail is the only place I'm safe."
From my son's copy of Dog Man Unleashed. The rest of this year could be interesting.
It's a dog eat Dog Man world out here at the public library.

When the dogs want to know what your son is reading
I'm all set for my library's Comix Club this Thursday after reading my way through all of Dav Pilkey's comics!
Not to be outdone by his big brother, this one wants you to know that this book is awesome. "It's about a dogs head on a mans body and it is funny."
I said it after the first series and I shall say it again. I love this series. Parents complain about the potty humor in Captain Underpants. Well there is rarely potty humor in this books. But they are still incredibly funny. Plus they are full graphic novels. Yes they are unrealistic, and complete drivel, but that is why I, and many kids like them. This time the Chief is having a birthday. But it‘s like no one else‘s birthday, EVER!
Enjoying some reading time with our youngest child. ❤❤
