#bookspin done! Enjoyed the start of this second series set in the grishaverse - looking forward to reading the sequel!
Thanks for the tag @TheSpineView
1- Yes, I don't know how to not be.
2- Six of Crows
#Two4Tuesday
It took me a year and a half to dive back into the Grishaverse, but I am so glad I did! Alina has my heart forever, because her story is nearly perfection from beginning to end, but the crows are pretty cool too. I do 100% think it resonates with early 30‘s me more than it would have with teen me, though, so that‘s perhaps noteworthy.
My favorite doulogy. It's my second favorite book (after crooked kingdom). I can't describe it in any way as it's too good. Just loveee my dear sons Matthias helvar, wylan Hendricks(Jan van dick doesn't deserve to be related to wylan) and of course, Kaz fucking brekker, best in the world.
“I would come for you. And if I couldn‘t walk, I‘d crawl to you, and no matter how broken we were, we‘d fight our way out together—knives drawn, pistol blazing. Because that‘s what we do. We never stop fighting.” - Kaz Brekker 😭 so amazing (not my fanart btw)
Just received my order so happy with the set beautifully produced and they sent a key, postcard and signed stamp. Love it so happy I finally received this now I‘m waiting for the box set of Shadow and Bone 📚🥰🥰🥰
Wow!!! It‘s been a long time since a book has gripped me so much. Live the characters, love the writing, love the twists.
*Mild spoilers*
This book has made me feel SO much that I can‘t help but appreciate how beautifully written it was. If it wrapped up perfectly, it wouldn‘t make sense for these characters or this story. Incredible world building and beautiful characters who are flawed, traumatized, and masterfully skilled. While I need a slight break after this ending, I can‘t wait to continue with Crooked Kingdom! Definitely a new favorite book for me.
I could not put this down! So gripping, so engaging & the story rolled along in a perfect mix of present & past that made the suspense even more gripping. Normally, with a book that moves between characters with each chapter, I get lost, but not in this one. Something about the way the author writes meant I never forgot exactly where each character was in their narrative. This is the best Grishaverse book I've read so far. Onto Crooked Kingdom!
This book was good. I will have to read the second one, too. The characters were great. The storyline was a page turner. So I finished it just in time for the #SummerEndReadathon @TheSpineView. I finished it with the last 40 chapters for the #20in4 Readathon. @Andrew65 And now I am ready for #Scarathlon.
Here is my list of what I plan on reading for the #20in4 #Readathon @Andrew65 Finish Six of Crows. Then, on October 1, start my buddy read with #TeamCryptKeepers The Shuddering for #Scarathlon and start The Furries. I'm hoping to do 20 chapters
I wanted to see if this was as good as they say it is. It didn't work for me. I feel like if it were a bit longer the atmosphere could have been build a bit more intensely than what it was now. I did like the world building.
I hate it when books break the first time you read it. The plastic on the cover is rolling off all over the book and both the front and back cover has lost some of its color. I hate it when this happens! 🫤
August 27 #BookBingo Dark Acedamia This is a book that I say, "Why haven't I read this yet?" @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
If you like the TV show Shadow and Bone but frankly could do without the Sun Summoner stuff and the Alina-Mal-Darkling angsty love triangle, you will love this book. All the cool characters from Kaz's gang are here, and they are attempting a heist to make them rich. Great character development and lots of tense action.
Just as great as a reread as the first time I read it. And it was long enough ago that I read it that I'd forgotten details of plot points. And I'd forgotten that Inej and Nina were so close at this point in the story, it was so lovely to see their friendship! I love these criminal outcasts with all my heart. It was fun to recognize snippets of dialogue from the second season of the TV show I just watched. One of my favourite books of all time!
I am still sick, but feeling like there is a light at the end of the tunnel now to this first trimester pregnancy nausea. I'm just better enough that I can do this comfort reread.
I love this cast of murderous outcasts! I just watched the second season of Shadow and Bone, which I felt pretty much the same as I did about the first season, which is that I would die for all my crows, but I don't give a crap about Alina, Mal, or the Darkling. 🤷♀️
Ooooh I loved this!! Don‘t mind the days ‘spend‘ reading this book. I finished half of it in just one sitting today. Before that I was very busy with work so I could only get a chapter or two in at night, but man I enjoyed this! Can‘t wait to finish this duology with Crooked Kingdom!! #bookly #sixofcrows #leighbardugo
Hiyaa! ✨
I just finished reading Six of Crows today and this quote, their way of saying ‘good luck‘, has been stuck inside my head ever since. Have you read this book and what are your thoughts on it?
Love this book one of my favorite books to read
After having ‘met‘ (meaning: admired from a distance) the actor who played the Darkling in the Shadow&Bones Netflix adaption during comic con last week, I told myself that I wanted to give that show a try.
But before I start doing that… I have to finish reading the Crows duology so here we go!! 🙏🤩

Finished re-reading one of my favourite books. I first read it about six years ago and it's just as good as the first time with the added bonus of having read the Shadow and Bone trilogy so there's a few references that are more meaningful reading it this time.
So I got covid again. This is the second time. The symptoms are quite easy at the moment so I decided to start reading this. I might have to put it down though until I feel a bit better because for some reason reading in English feels a bit challenging at the moment. I'm looking forward to reading it. 😁
When you can‘t decided which Crows shirt to wear for your Shadow and Bones season 2 marathon ❤️❤️❤️ might just do a wardrobe change in the middle😂
I'm currently reading Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo, and I have to say this book is so intriguing and fantastical. The characters are brought to life so well and the book does an amazing job of conveying how the characters feel. I especially like the character Inej. Inej is a master thief and stealther. She is able to sneak around anywhere without being setected, with another character, Kaz, stating that she doesn't even really have a scent.
👏LOVED IT!!! The world building, character development - excellent. The story - excellent. The pace - excellent 👏

If I finish tagged book by end of weekend, I will replace it on my list - chances are that is not happening 😊
Make a great day everyone ❄️☃️
Finished 3 books for #JoyousJanuary (thanks for hosting @Andrew65) but made little progress on last 3 this weekend (forgot about the playoffs and home team in it)- took this idea from @Enchanted_Bibliophile (thank you) and StoryGraph #JanuaryPagesChallenge for 50 pages a day - will do this for rest of month to finish some books up - I am enjoying all of them but at the end of a work day tend to not read as much!
Make a great day everyone -🏈
I don‘t know where to start with how much I absolutely freaking loved this book!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Kaz and Inej, Nina and Matthias, Jesper and Wylan so tragic, ruthless and beautifully flawed. All the twist and turns of the heist and that ending!!!! Will be starting the next book tonight. This book is on my must reread list 📚📚📚
I do not think I will be finishing any other books this week - as the ones I am reading are longer and I go back to work -
Thanks for the fun activity for December @Andrew65 @DieAReader @GHABI4ROSES
#WinterReadathon - these were my two favorite reads for the month -
Happy New Year everyone - make a great day - 🎉

I hate to say it, but this novel was fantastic. NGL, I didn‘t have high expectations for it, especially because it took me almost a week to get through the first chapter, but wow. I loved it. The storyline, the characters, everything was well-written. I loved how the characters‘ conversations flowed well and the banter between them was incredible. I haven‘t read fantasy in quite some time, but this one definitely gets me wanting more.
I'm going to watch the TV series as I think it would work in that format. The book I found just dragged on, there wasn't any dramatic tension and the author really struggled with getting emotion into their writing.
