This is the 2nd book in the Black Dagger brotherhood series. It follows Rhage (Hollywood) and Mary for the most part. It also follows a new Lesser and starts some stories for other characters.

This one annoyed me because Mary took way too long to believe that Rhage would like her and actually want to be with her. I also thought I was going to annoyed by the end but I wasn‘t and liked the way to story wrapped up. It is a romance.

I can‘t overstate exactly how much I love this series. The language and characters are cheesy, but I love the relationships between the characters so much. Mary and Rhage aren‘t my favorite BDB couple but their story is a great one. I had forgotten that Bella and John Matthew are introduced in this book although the major part of their stories do not come until later. Just a fun, not-at-all-stressful read that was perfect for my very busy week.

Just finished this I really like the storyline and characters even though some of it‘s sad it still has a great continuation to the previous two I‘m going to get the next in the series to read 🙌🏽📖

Really enjoying this series and I‘m so happy it has so many more book in the series 📖🙌🏽

I love this book even more than the last one. I stayed up all night to finish it. I didn‘t remember this one at all, but this one nearly broke my heart before saving it at the very brink. For a Black Dagger Brotherhood book, it was sweet and heartwarming. It was also great getting to see into Z‘s part a little bit. I‘ve been waiting all day to jump into this second novel. Again, the ebook art is much better than the audiobook art, but at least this time the are somewhat similar. This is another reread for me, but I genuinely don‘t remember anything about this book either.

This second book in the series was even better than the first one. I think the author really found her stride with this one. Again, not classic literature, but great escapist fun. And with everything going on in the US right now, that is what I need.

This is the second installment of the black dagger brotherhood,

Rhage is the wild child of the brothers but also one of the most sweetest. All Rhage wants is someone to love and take care of. Mary is alone in the world and needs any anchor.

Mary and Rhage are one of my favourite couples from the BDB books and to revisited their story remind me why I feel in love with books.

I like it better than Dark Lover, the first book of the series. Both characters are being betrayed by their own bodies. They have found each other in that darkness.

Rhage is one of my favorites. I devoured this book (all 464 pages of it) in one sitting while my husband watched football today. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

My husband is over the moon for the Giants first game of the season. I‘m reading and occasionally looking up...which is how I watch most sporting events. 😂

Re-reading this JR Ward series, because I realized there are a few new ones out I haven‘t read. I haven‘t read them since 2011ish. I don‘t read romance often, but every once in a while I binge on what my husband calls my “smut books”. 😜

This one counts! Black Dagger Brotherhood. All of them. Also Barbara Delinski. Bertrice Small. And Barbara Cartland whom I happily read for hours at my grandmother‘s home. Judy Blume. I am sure I will think of many more!

Hooray!! Book 1 of vacation reading down... this was great!! I enjoyed this one more than the first book because I was more familiar with the characters and the world of the BDB... the chemistry between Mary and Rhage was electric!! I recommend it highly ☺️☺️

The 🧛🏼‍♂️ gets the 👩🏻 in this one 😘

I must say. I definitely enjoy this more than the 1st 📚. And this story does brought some 😭 too. It‘s touching, heartbreaking, steamy yet giving me some mixed feelings since Rhage did “cheated” on Mary. And yes, he has valid reasons. We also got a glimpse into ‘Z‘ past life. Why he‘s projecting himself as heartless asshole when he hurt the most if one of his Brother are hurt. #paranormalromance #jrward

This was a re-read for me but in audio form. Jim Frangione did a wonderful job narrating this production. He brought all of the characters to life and made all the action scenes very exciting.

However, I was not a big fan of the love between Rhage and Mary. It was not believable to me. As separate characters, I thought they were great, but I didn't like them together.

Though this was a good book, it was my.least favorite in the series.

Listening to this book to go along with this muggy weather we are having here in California.

As good as the first one

You know, I remember liking this one a bit more than I did upon my re-read. I'm usually a pretty emotional gal, so I couldn't wrap my head around the whole keep-my-feelings-to-myself thing that the female MC had going on for the first 3/4 of the novel. 3.5/5. Rounded up to 4 cuz Rhage.

Starting book 2 on my Kindle but I've definitely noticed that while I enjoy the actual storyline, these books so far anyway are not very well written.

It's a vampire lover kinda evening. This is my first JR Ward book.
