If you enjoyed Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls then you may enjoy Bad Girls Throughout History. The illustrations are brilliant and really the main focus of the book, I do love some of them & I'm glad I got the notecards. The passages read a little like Wikipedia intros. The diversity could be stronger as many of the women are American or white, you'll also find some controversial characters in there...*cough*...Thatcher 🤦🏼♀️

I loved this book. There were a few I wish would have been included (maybe a Bad Girls pt. 2??). This is good for high school aged girls to read. The real stand out was the artwork, amazing!!!
Starting this book today- it was a spontaneous grab at the library this week.
“To be a bad girl is to break any socially accepted rule”
#BiblioMAYnia Day 30: Admittedly, I am not a huge fan of the typography used in this book – the calligraphic font seemed far too common these days, that maybe I was looking for something less #cursive-y for lack of a better term. Regardless, it did not detract from my enthusiasm in lapping up the subversive, tongue-in-cheek, delightfully unapologetic stories in this collection. This is a must-find and a must-own. Hosted a Galentine's Brunch today for my 13 year old daughter, and gifted "Bad Girls Throughout History".
Who doesn‘t love Jane Austen? #books #badgirls #janeausten
Joan is the bad chic I identify the most with. She was committed not only to country but to God and she was a warrior. I wear a Jean de Arc coin often. #patronsaintofsoldiers #france
This is March‘s Ipsy bag. “and off she went to change the world” Ipsy is a monthly make up/ personal care bag, this month it was for National Women‘s History Month! This is the book my mom chose for me. She knows Me so well. I can't wait to read it. I've been hugging it since I opened it. I got her calypso by David Sedaris
A fun gift for my teenage daughter to remind her how awesome she can be. Merry Christmas Eve!!
A sweet coffee table book filled with bad ass women to inspire you. An easy read for anyone starting to read.
I am so loving the books that are finding their way to me for our #WomenReadWomen2019 reading theme.
My plan for my day off today! Got a ton of books from the library so I'm trying to finish some up today

This was a fun, easy read. The illustrations of the women were gorgeous, and the stories were very interesting! I definitely learned about some rad women I had never heard of. My complaint is that I wish there would have been a more even representation of races instead of being majority white women.
Another book with info on inspirational girls with nice ILLUSTRATIONS! 😊
A fun diversion: Shen paints and briefly profiles 100 notable women throughout history. Some are well-known, others I have never heard of, but it is fun to Google them. I spent quite a bit of time Googling Hedy Lamarr, whom I knew as a movie star, but not as the inventor of the technology wi-fi is based on. Cool tidbits like that make this a fun book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Thanks for the recommendation, @Riveted_Reader_Melissa !
Informative, but largely inessential book about bad ass women throughout history. It is free on Amazon Prime Reading, which is why I checked it out. The biographies are basically Wikipedia-light, and although the accompanying illustrations are nice, most didn‘t really look like the people, in my opinion. Best thing I learned was that Ada Lovelace (computing pioneer) was the only legitimate offspring of Lord Byron!
I really enjoyed these short profiles on ‘Bad Girls‘ and I‘m pretty sure I‘ll be gifting this one a few times in the future. Many I knew, Ruth Bade Ginsburg, Sally Ride, and Malala Yousafzai...some were new to me like Junko Tabei... but I found myself pausing to look up a few and read more, google their artwork, add their books, etc.
Just an FYI...it also includes grown up bad Girls from Gypsy Lee Rose to Bettie Page, as well as ...
Reminds me of the Women & Power book by Mary Beard (tagged below) that I read earlier this year....about how these early ideas about women being unqualified to speak in public persist, except now are framed as she‘s to shrill, strident, etc, etc to listen too.🙄
Women, fighting for equal pay....since they were first hired🙄
Yea... I think this is just the right tone for the mood I‘m in. 👍
Everyone needs a copy of this book. It‘s an awesome collection of beautiful artwork and stories about the women who created history. I loved this and am so glad I own it!
Feminist with a to-do list. What is everyone reading for International Women‘s Day!? #TBR #Read #Bookworm #ReadHarder
Brief one-page history along with a stylish illustration of each of these 100 women. 💜🚺🎨#coffeetablebook
Really good glimpse into the lives of some impressive ladies. Definitely worth reading, it‘s pretty quick and has great illustrations. I really wish it was Bad Ladies or Women, since almost none of them are girls. #readwomen
#readharder —> cover you hate (sorry - it‘s especially bad on a kindle)
This is a gorgeous book about 100 amazing women who changed the world 🌍 It‘s so lovely to flick through every few days ! #GirlsJustWannaHaveFun
#FierceFeb ❣️❣️❣️
This was a very interesting and easy read!
Received this coffee table book as a gift and it's lovely but... They really couldn't figure out 100 REAL women to include in all of recorded history that a fictional character had to start it off? 🤔
4/5⭐️ I loved this book, even if I‘d want to see more woc and women from other parts of the world than Europe and America!
💕💕Happy to be watching Guardians of the Galaxy and reading a new book! 💕💕 “You are never too old, too small, or too late to live the life you‘re meant to lead. Especially if it means rewriting the rules to do it.” -Ann Shen
4⭐️This was a good book. Not all the facts were correct, but I did really enjoy when she put quotes along with the picture at the end of each chapter.

Did I mention Judy Blume is awesome? Her book, Forever, was banned from the middle schools in my district. When I started working at my school in 2000, one of the other librarians was organizing a second attempt to get the book back on the shelves. Judy heard about our fight and wrote a letter for us to share with the school board.
Oh i am in love with this book 😍 the illustrations and everything... so wonderfull 😍
The best book with a prettiest illustrations to showcase some awesome women who have made an impact on society!
Gorgeous illustrations and just enough information about the different women to give a good overview of their lives.
