Yay! The book I preordered from Barnes & Noble is here. I was supposed to receive it yesterday but I received it today. I looked at the tracking for this package through the postal service and it said that it was delivered in the mailbox but it wasn‘t until today. When I didn‘t see it in the mailbox yesterday, I was really worried and I thought that the postal service delivered it to the wrong house.

I received this ARC in the mail yesterday from Celadon Books. This photo collage shows a picture of the book and the back of the book saying what the book is about. This is from the author who wrote Saint X. I‘ve read Saint X but I didn‘t really like it that much. Maybe I‘ll like this book better. This book sounds interesting and I want to read it. If I don‘t like it then I won‘t read anything else from this author.

I got this email today from Barnes & Noble because I‘m subscribed to their email newsletter. I‘ve been considering unhauling the ASOIAF series because I enjoyed it but I don‘t know if I want to reread it again. I also have Fire & Blood which is about the Targaryens but I read it and didn‘t like it that much. To be honest, I‘m not interested in reading another book about them.

Another new titleâ€”or rather Harvard has a copy. You‘d think it would be dreadful. (I‘ve spent enough time in Mt. Auburn with sick and dying relatives; the food is NOT great.) But it contains a candied almonds recipe my mother loved to make at Christmas.
