Slowly making some headway on the Mercy Thompson series as I got a bit behind! Only one more until I am caught up (I get the paperbacks so am about a year behind the main series normally).
This one has a lot more focus on witches, and not a huge amount of pack. But I still enjoyed it ☺️
It‘s TBR time! I tried to make a realistic end of year reading list but it may have ended up as overly ambitious instead.
Will manage to complete it? Results flowing in soon.

This one covers all the #teammonstermash bases - werewolves, vampires and witches, oh my! Add some zombies, fae, a coyote shifter and a few others and there was definitely a lot going on. Probably not my favorite of the series, but I did like it. One of my yearly goals was to make progress on some series, so this counts towards that as well as the #scarathlon event! @StayCurious #scarathlondailyprompts Vampire
Reading Mercy Thompson books for me is like stepping into a world of comfort. This installment of Mercy, shows the pack back in action, but this time with witches. Old friends become enemies and the fallout will be felt for years to come. The Love between Adam and Mercy grows from strength to strength.

My 2020 goal was to read 50 books- very doable usually as I average between 75-100 a year..... I read 33. The tagged book was my favorite though! Here's to more good reads in 2021!!!
@451Degrees
I tend to enjoy each installment of this series but this is definitely not one of the strongest. Mercy is once again called upon to rally her allies in response to a threat in her territory. I feel like we got hints at more backstory from side characters but overall this felt more like a set up novel than one with big payoffs.
Sierra is sleeping on the job as my reading buddy while I start tackling my new year‘s goal of catching up on series a little early.

Book 11 of the Mercy series. Witches galore!
Book 15 for #screamathon and #scarathlon #teamharkness
Book 5 for #outstandingOctober
10 hrs for #littenlisten audiothon and #october24in4
A great addition to the series, Mercy and friends are up against witches this time out, and possibly one of their own. While I loved it, I missed some of the action that is usually throughout this series and also missed more pack scenes. I also found the ending a bit abrupt and less thrilling than the lead up led me to believe it would be. Still, wonderful world building, amazing characters and great writing kept me riveted. 4/5⭐️

Current read. So excited to get back to this series and see what Mercy and the gang are up to! So happy this turned out to be my #DoubleBookSpin for this month! 💛💛💛

As there are currently delays with the post, this is only the beginning of my birthday book haul. But what a great start it is! 🥰

I'm ready! Too bad I put in my hold for the next one at the library instead of Overdrive. Instead of having it in my hands now (or soon), I have a nine week wait. *Sigh*
"Coincidences sometimes happen," Sherwood said heavily. "But when they happen around witches, they aren't usually coincidences."
Sunshine for the first time in forever meant my youngest and I had to take a long walk along the canal (still practicing social distancing). But now I'm ready for book three of #StayHome24in48 (and book approx one million in this excellent series 😆).

Another fun installment in the Mercy Thompson series. Not my fave, but a solid story.
I love this series. It gets better with every book. This one was a bit dark for me but my love of the main characters pulled me through. I look forward to the next one.

I looooove Mercy Thompson. She is my favorite kick-butt female lead. This was an interesting installment on the series, and I like when Coyote drops in and we get to see Stephen.
“I am going to ignore—just for a minute—hoe much my geek side is loving that apparently there is a goblin king in the world.”
One of many reasons I love Patricia Briggs‘s books—a well placed a David Bowie-Labyrinth reference!

I forgot to include in my original review that this is a pretty bloody book, including torture and animal abuse. Those parts were pretty tough. It‘s still a great book and it all serves its purpose, but not for the squeamish or easily triggered.
I love these books. Eventually I need to go back and read everything in the right order, both series and short stories. I felt like I was forgetting things with this one.
Big bad witches, zombie everythings, political machinations...this books has everything!
I look forward to each and every book in the Mercy Thompson series. Despite the fact that I purchased this book last year, I waited until, the right time to read it. When it comes to Patricia Briggs‘ novels, I love to get lost in the story and January was the perfect time to do so. You never know what Mercy Thompson is going to endure which is the best part of the series. #patriciabriggs #stormcursed
Patricia Briggs has a way of writing a love scene and making it wholesome. I don‘t know how she does it, but she nails it every time. #patriciabriggs #stormcursed
I‘m 120 pages into the book. So far I‘ve encountered Zombie goats and a zombie werewolf. So far so good. FYI: Beetlejuice is a fantastic musical. If you are in the NY area, it is a must see. #patriciabriggs #stormcursed
Seriously, Mary Jo! Mercy is a much better wife for Adam than Christy. #stormcursed #patriciabriggd
I really enjoyed this installment in the Mercy Thompson series! Not sure what took me so long to get to my (gorgeous, signed) copy of this book...but I started it last night and it kept me up late!
We have witches and black magic and miniature zombie goats...what more could we ask for the crew to have to face?
Thanks so much @Nessavamusic for a great #JolabokaflodSwap ! I didn't actually read the book yesterday, as I'm in the middle of rereading this series, but I'm super excited to own it. The chocolate looks delicious and the bookmark is cute.
Thanks @MaleficentBookDragon for setting up this swap.
Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it, and Happy Holidays to those who don't.
I‘ve read every Mercy adventure. This one more than bordered on horror. I skipped some parts, too much for me. Maybe as I get older, I don‘t like the grizzly stuff. Not bad read other than that.
I find myself putting off new releases in favorite series more and more, don‘t get me wrong I buy them right away, I just put off reading them....they go by too fast and then there‘s another long gap until the next. Then when I finally read them I rush through, totally enjoy the ride, wonder why I waited so long, then still have a book hangover afterwards.
Mercy still holds up after all these books, it‘s still fun and sassy, with a crazy ⤵️
I just finished rereading the first 10 books in the Mercy Thompson series, so now it is time to read the newest book, Storm Cursed! I love this series so much!
So close to being done. Love it so far!
Already on a new book and for the last year, that's rare for me. Slowly trying to get back to feeling like myse.lf after chronic migraines and fibromyalgia.
So working on my blog while listening to some Mercy drama
These two together make my heat sing. Adam and Mercy...sigh 🥰
I adore this series, and this book did not disappoint. Mercy is the best!
So when I should be studying for a test and working on school stuff, I read about Mercy! I love this series! It‘s one of my favorites and of course I‘ll read this book again!
Well...all I can is Zombie Pygmy goats....holy cow. This new installment in the mercy Thompson series so did not disappoint. I love this series.... Adam mercy Sherlock the whole gang together again...there are a few surprises in this one but I will let you discover those for yourself. Definitely hate having to wait for the next book

Accomplished!
Walked every day for 30 mins except one day that was raining so I did yoga that day instead. These are the two books I read this week. Thanks for inspiring me @wanderinglynn!
Starting my first book for #BookFitnessChallenge #BFCR2 - starting with an easy one since I love this series.
It came in! Ok, I'll come back up for air in about 6 hours once I've finished it 🙂
Still on the waitlist for this and it feels like I've been on "available soon" status forever!
#11 in the Mercy Thompson series did not disappoint! Seeing as I devoured the entire book in a single sitting. . . I've been reading these books since high school and they're still fun, engaging, reads. Love the blends of different mythologies and religious influences.

A new(ish) problem for the Columbia Basin pack plus the usual full plate for Mercy. I had a bit of trouble with this one because it heavily referenced a story I don't remember. If you don't remember all that much from Frost Burned I highly recommend you reread it before starting this book.
Another great addition to the Mercy series! This book finds our heroine and the pack learning to deal with goblins, zombies, witches and perhaps the most gruesome of all - government officials. My only complaint is that the title doesn‘t really make any sense with the story.
