This is the last book in the Mackayla Lane series, and it is the best. Our flawed, hopelessly self-absorbed, often slow-on-the-uptake, but very realistic heroine finally gains some emotional maturity and gets herself together to do her part to save the world. Other beloved characters exhibit some real growth here as well, especially Dani and Ryodan. I loved this apocalyptic fantasy series overall and will be reading it again.
Now this feels like the world I grew to love! It took a few books, a lot of mistakes and some serious backtracking but the series ended off on a high note for me that felt almost like it did in the beginning. Hard to put down and packed full. I do feel it went on longer than it should have but I'm not mad at how it ended. Now that she's ended this series (twice!) I guess it's time to try out Dani's second book attempt. I'm scared 😅
Onto the next one! 🤗
10/10 The series has sadly come to its end. I cried more through this book than any of the others. Not the ending I expected, but perfect nonetheless. Long but worth every minute of the read.
I have loved every book in this series and this “finale” was amazing! Mac and Dani are two of my all time favorite characters. I‘m so glad there are more books! #romance #romantsy #paranormalromance
I am rereading before High Voltage and completely forgot about Jada‘s “friend”.
I‘m very nervous and excited for this finale 😬😅😏
Absolutely amazing as usual! Read in January 2017 and gave 5/5 stars. Full review on Goodreads.
Christmas books for myself!
Playing catch-up today with #AllTheBooks2017
Day 4: Favorite cover: Feversong
I‘m not sure if I love where the series is heading, but that cover is gorgeous!
4.5🌟 Some questions answered, some new questions added. Wished there was more romance. Some really cool things happen. New narrators again, they did a decent job. Glad this book was better than the 2 middle ones! Overall I would give the series a solid 4 star for the last 4 books.

An overall good conclusion to the series that I wish I had read right after I finished the previous. I wish a couple characters had wrapped up differently, but I understand why they didn't and how that played in their development. Not as raunchy in certain scenes and a little less excitement and destruction than the other novels, but overall a good conclusion.
Hooray I finally finished it!!! This was probably my least favorite of the series. It just seemed to drag on.
As much as I love Mac and Barrons, I think this series needs to end.
Decided to pick up this book again and make a dent in it. I've been reading Feversong on and off again since it originally came out in January. I devoured all the other books in this series but I am having a hard time with this one.
Loved parts, felt a little let down by some other parts, but I think that's par for the course when finishing off a long-loved series. JZB + Mac forever.
I don't know about you, but I always dread the end of the series. I didn't need to worry! Serving up the most glorious hot mess with a side of self awareness and a tall glass of Barrons, Moning wrote a satisfying and beautiful end to her series 😊 Balancing tied up loose ends with hints at the story's post book existence, Moning rounds out her story with all the laughs, tears and gasps I had hoped for!

What a grand adventure the Fever series has been.
If this book is the last then I am satisfied, if it's not then I will be quite happy.
Overall, I really enjoyed it.🙄

I don't know if I would really consider this series to be romance novels. They are amazing in my opinion and I'm hooked. I guess they are my guilty pleasure because they are "romance novels" but I do not feel guilty reading them.
I absolutely loved the world KMM made with this series. This book was everything I was expecting when it comes to the Fever series. I loved Dani's parts and seeing her evolve as a character was amazing.
I thought this the end of the series but that last chapter made it sound like there would be more. Not sure how I feel about that. I wish Christian would get his own book.

Two days ago I did a leg circuit workout and my thighs are still killing me. So my Friday night plans are an epsom bath and a good book.

Such a good book! It sucked me in and wouldn't let me go right up until the last page. I'm so sad to see it end and had hoped to see a certain storyline play out, but alas, we'll never know. The ending was definitely not an ending. Pretty much NO ONE's story concluded. I'm confused that this is supposed to be the last book but leaves off on huge cliffhangers. But still...I loved it. And I did do some hardcore crying in this one. #morethan400pages
Picked this book up again after a brief break. Works well for #signedsunday too!
Eeekkkk! Someone pinch me!! About to dive right into this beauty! And it's signed! 😱😍 My bestie is better than yours 😉 @BooksTeasAndBookishThings
Did a number on my ankle but grinning like a kid at some of the descriptions in this book.
Somehow KMM managed to give a 9 book series a satisfying ending in one shot. I had my doubts, but I ended up sniffling and cheering at the end, so I have to go with a pick on this. #litsyatoz #letterm
Couldn't quite love this one as much as the first.... Afraid this series may be jumping the shark. Still entertaining but not as compulsively so as the first few.
It pains me to say this: Feversong is by far the worst in the Fever series. I am not sure if it is because:
• The lack of banter from Ryodan, Lor and Barrons
• The male narrator was the worst of the (too) many that they have used for this series (I miss Phil Giagante!)
• The writing was just not as good (long winded and boring at times) as the previous books
I hope that this isn't the death of this series and that Book 10 will be a redeemer.
I've got Feversong, some sparkling water, my Out of Print banned book socks and I'm ready for #LitsyPartyofOne tonight!
I'm almost at a loss for words. There was so much going on in this book. Mac is still awesome. Dani is still awesome. Everyone is awesome. Even Cruce apparently. I liked this book and I feel like the ending was good. I have so many questions that are unanswered but I've been told this is only the conclusion to the Mac/Barrons storyline not the entire Fever series. I'm hoping some things get wrapped up in future books. All in all a good read!
I need more Barron's holy crap this book was good
I was so reluctant going into this book, afraid there was no way it could live up to the others and yet make some kind of ending to all the threads that have been woven throughout the series. Even in the beginning it was a tough read, as the events of the prior book played out in grisly detail, BUT once again KMM twisted this story to perfection, with all those disparate threads weaving together, splitting apart, and rejoining again.....
Again, more bias, as KMM has been my absolute favourite author since 2001, and she was the only author on that list until last year when I added Stiefvater and Maas. That aside, Mac has always made me feel so human. Her own battle with wanting to be light-hearted and feminine and good as well as wanting to be carnal and dangerous and monstrous happens to a lot of people that have been through trials in life. She is all of us. This is a solid PICK!
All I've wanted to do is read this book but I've been sick. Trying to get a few pages read tonight but it's not going so well.
I'm so excited I got this pretty today! I love the Fever series, and am sad to see that the end is here, but really excited to read what the amazing KMM had in-store for us!
Ninth book in the series doesn't disappoint. Mac and Barron's work together and with friends and enemies in an attempt to save the world.
My 24in48 went sidewise very early this weekend, but I'm still very happy that I managed to get in about 7 hours today. One of these times, I'll actually be able to make #24in48... but it might not be until I'm retired and aged about 90 with more quiet time on my hands. 👍
Even harsher version of: “Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...It's about learning to dance in the rain.”
When the bad guy starts ranting in your book and you are reminded about facts (crops) versus alternative facts (weeds), and wondering how long it will it will be until you're no longer certain what a fact even is.
I think I'm going to need to revisit The Signal and The Noise by Nate Silver this year, AND I'm very disappointed that politics is invading my escapism reading time. Dang it all!!!
