The Fog is nothing if not dramatic: the opening sequence sees an English village cleaved in two by an earthquake. From then on the action just gets more and more chilling.

Holy six degrees of John Carpenter! Watched The Fog last night and had so much fun finding the connections.

Not to be confused with the John Carpenter film of the same name. Besides the title they couldn't be more different: The film is set on the American coast and is about a pirate curse; this book is set in England and concerns a fog that wreaks havok with people's sanity.
What would happen if you were allowed to act on all your impulses without regard for the consequences?
Settling in to watch this classic horror movie of my childhood. #Scarathlon2021 #TeamHendrix +6 pts
Pub time! 🍷 Right across the street from my favorite used bookstore 🧡🎈 ✨self-care day✨
The first of his that I read and I can still remember that scene in the school gym. Gave me sleepless nights at the time. One of approx 800 books I gave away when I got married [sigh].
I admit when I picked this book that I got it confused with the 1980 film and it probably wasn‘t the best choice of bedtime reading. Despite being incredibly graphic in its descriptions of murder and suicide, the story of a fog that produces insanity before death and the race to understand and contain was compelling and this was a gripping read.
Loved this spooky commute to work, through a park blanketed by fog with other people appearing as dark, blurry shapes in the distance.
I would never have survived more than 5 minutes as a character in the tagged book, but coffee and a muffin-related sugar rush gave me the courage I needed on this occasion 😁
I took this #creepy photo about a week ago when the weather started to change.

I tripped and fell into a book sale yesterday 🤦♀️ and someone had donated a whole bunch of classic horror. Obviously I bought everything I could hold. Oh, and my Book Outlet order came in 🤷♀️
It was a spooky, foggy morning here on the mountaintop! #MiddleEarth #PoconoMountains
I can't even believe @JessNevertheless found these dang books! I should have taken a pic of everything wrapped but before coffee me is not very bright. I love it all, thank.you so much!

The whole neighbourhood is surrounded in this really cool looking fog. John Carpenter would love it.
The fog floats all over England in this book. I'm hoping to finish this one tonight. #junebookbugs #floating #splashintosummerreads #bookandsun
My #readingnook . I'm actually sitting on that chair as I type this. I have so much to read.
I think all of these books have hideous covers. They hide in the back of a double-stacked bookshelf. Good books, #uglybookcovers #somethingforsept #septphotochallenge
