pickI don‘t read a lot of romance but like to occasionally throw one into the mix because an HAE once in awhile is refreshing. This was a sweet story and you couldn‘t help but root for the MC. panAn early book (2001)of Lisa Jewell and nothing like her more recent ones. It plods along with predictable characters and plot - not what I was expecting at all π and was tedious.

pickThe first in a new series has a lot riding on its shoulders. Not only does it have to have an interesting plot but is has to lay enough groundwork so you gain knowledge of and interest in the main characters so you want to continue on their journey. This book did an ok job of that and I am intrigued by the mystery man. However, it is sloppy editing to not notice when the wrong character is named from one page to the next.
