This weekend is the start of my major reading season, and my and the boyfriend's anniversary (11 years and we haven't killed each other...yet)! #SciFiSummer is going strong until the Autumnal Equinox, but #RIP starts on the 1st, which is also #BackToHogwarts day. I also signed up for the #WhatTheDickens #BuddyRead of David Copperfield. My goal is simple: read when I can and as much as I can #ForTheLoveofBooks #readathon hosted by @TheSpineView

TheSpineView Great goal! Good luck!💜📖 3mo

September for me means a combination of #SummerSciFi and #RIP, so I tried to reflect that in my #BookSpin list for the month.

Here is my #BookSpin list for August. Since I'm already nearing the Time Lord level of my #SciFiSummer reading challenge, this list is a mix of SciFi, music, and other books I've been wanting to read before #RIP begins in September.

Librarybelle Thanks for another fun #HashtagBrigade ! 5mo
Bookwormjillk Thanks for hosting us once again! Jo collecting boys read a little weird, but having people chorus from trees on my birthday is new #LifeGoals 5mo

Cuilin The teacher in me loved the idea of the boys school, not sure that ever made it into any adaptation? Thanks for hosting, but I‘m glad this one is done. 5mo
mcctrish And they ( and we ) lived happily ever after. Thank you for hosting it was nice to revisit the Little Women 5mo
BarkingMadRead @Cuilin I feel like it was hinted at but not actually shown (edited) 5mo
Bookwormjillk @BarkingMadRead @BarkingMadRead I think there‘s a Jo‘s Boys book. 5mo
peanutnine What an unexpected ending! I'm not mad about it though. This was a fun read overall! I'm glad I finally read this one, I'm grateful for the buddy read giving me the incentive! 🤗 5mo
willaful @Cuilin Bookwormjillk There are two sequels to Little Women -- Little Men, which is about the school, and very fun, and Jo's Boys, which is about the kids grown up and marrying off. 5mo
Clare-Dragonfly I am always disappointed by this ending. Jo says she is going to write still, but she doesn‘t actually do it that we see. She claims to have this long-cherished dream of opening a boys‘ school but it‘s never been mentioned before! 5mo
julieclair The ending was a bit out of left field, but I actually liked the idea of the boys school. Thanks for hosting, @BarkingMadRead . I would never have re-read this without the #hashtagbrigade . 😘 5mo

Bookwormjillk I would have been okay just skipping this one 🥹🥹🥹 5mo
TheAromaofBooks I love the reminder that we don't have to do huge “important“ things to live a life that is useful and remembered when we're gone. Small kindnesses do make a big difference. 5mo

My second full book finished for #Scarathlon and the fourth for #RIP. Though it was good, it wasn't good enough for me to continue the series. Total points = 90 for 7 hours of listening time plus 20 for being a spooky/autumn-themed book. #TeamWhoYaGonnaCall

FlynnDewey lol Sounds like a zombie movie set in a library. 14mo
Fortifiedbybooks @FlynnDewey I think I would have enjoyed that more! LOL 14mo

These are a few of the shows and movies I want to watch (or have already started) for #RIP and #Scarathlon. I have several more on my watchlist, but these are at the top. #TeamWhoYaGonnaCall

FlynnDewey Those Fear Street movies on Netflix were pretty solid, in my opinion. I enjoyed them a lot more than I had expected to. 1y

Fortifiedbybooks @FlynnDewey My Boyfriend and I enjoyed Part One - 1994 quite a lot! Having been in high school during that time, we both especially loved the soundtrack 😁 1y

This isn't my whole #TBR for #RIP and #Scarathlon but it is most of the physical books I'll be choosing from throughout October. #TeamWhoYaGonnaCall
