This is a solid installment in the Harry Dresden series, but not among my favourites. I found the plot rather slow and plodding but there is much more concerning the relationships Harry has with his allies and enemies. It's a good read for fans of the series but weak as a standalone novel.

Add were-goats; demonic fallen angels; holy knights; an archive and a hellhound; a gentleman gangster, his bodyguard and Guard; Murphy and Luccio; and Thomas. Stir, let simmer for a few chapters and the whole pot will definitely boil over.

This was a quick fun FAST PACED story! This is book 10, almost the halfway mark of the series so far.

More typical Harry in a story with … Murphy, Michael, Thomas, Kincaid, Molly, Guard, Marcone, Sanja, Mab, Knights of the Cross, the archive, Nicodemus & the denarians.

But seriously … WERE-GOATS!

Hell‘s Bells this is such a good series! So action packed and never boring. The entire cast of characters is amazing and well developed. The Dresden Files is always a joy to read. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Plots grow more intricate as Summer comes after Dresden while Winter's Queen Mab has commanded him to be her emissary. And the Denarians are back in town to make things even more dangerous...as Dresden finds he needs to help Marcone.

Currently reading A Court of Thorns and Roses on audio. I‘ve never read this series before and figured I‘d give it a try. I also picked up The Other Black Girl yesterday and am actually about 90 pages into Piranesi. (I created this earlier 🤣)

I definitely missed having James Marsters read this to me, but still enjoyed this book. (My library didn‘t have it on audio).

I‘m really enjoying getting back into this world and seeing what Harry is up to. I can‘t wait to pick up the next one.

#BookTech - just got these book holders in the mail. It came with a pack of 3. Seems to be for different size books. They hold the book open and it‘s pretty flexible when flipping the pages.

We‘ll see how it holds up. It only seems to be for paperbacks. I guess you don‘t really need them for hardbacks but 🤷🏻‍♀️

Another good book in the Dresden series. I‘m very much invested now into seeing what else the Denarians and fallen angels have in store for Harry and the gang. 4/5 stars.

While I‘m waiting for Jim Butcher to finally get around to finishing the 16th book in this series, I‘m rereading all of them out loud to my husband.

On Libby, my library had a 6 month wait on this book. I couldn't wait that long so I subscribed to a free trial of Audible and got this book and the next in the series for free. 😊 Happy I didn't have to wait.

Awww, I used to fb status update excited about this series... now it pretty much takes an overseas holiday for me to post anything on fb... TIMES CHANGE! (Especially when you have to wait years between Dresden Files books)

Harry Dresden fights a cadre of fallen angels with a little help from his friends. This series is a bit formulaic -- same sarcastic dialogue, same overwhelming odds against beating unstoppable enemies, same beat-up Blue Beetle -- yet somehow it doesn't get old. I always have fun with Harry and friends.

"You couldn't spot a pop culture reference if it skittered up and implanted an embryo down your esophagus." -- Ha! Basically me. ?

🌟Ruined spines make me sad. Most of my books that are ruined are from trying to take off Thriftbooks stickers. I think they changed them some time ago, but I'm still a little nervous to order from there anymore.🌟
