Haven‘t been on here for a while because I‘ve been so busy that reading has taken a back seat. But it still holds such an enormous part of my heart. So much so that I have decided to declare my love for it permanently on my skin. #literarytattoo #literaryink
Second book I‘ve bought on release day this year
There‘s not many of these I haven‘t done. I‘m close to having read all of Jodi Picoults books but I‘m not quite there. I also didn‘t check the $50 one because I don‘t know what that would be in my currency but I never did that while in the States.
Today I did something new, I donated blood for the first time. Honestly I was surprised at how sore I found it. But blood saves lives and that makes the pain worthwhile so I will probably go back in 8 weeks again. Continued with some of the monster that is Outlander. About 70% through now so slowly but surely reaching the end.
Today I found this for $2 at a second hand book sale. I actually really like the fact that it looks used, I feel like it adds to the affect of what the story tells. I‘ve been listening to it on Audible but I‘m grateful to find a physical copy. #secondhand

I was put on bed rest for a week and had no energy to even read never mind go for a walk. So I lost a lot of time on the #bookfitnesschallenge. For this week I am trying to simply build my strength back up, eat properly and keep my fluids up. While watching a lot of Downton Abbey I did have the opportunity to knit this blanket for Aaron and I really love how it turned out. As an update on books, I have finished one.
Finally half way through. I love Jamie Frasier!
I‘m participating in Bingoathon this week while working on #BookFitnessChallenge. I‘m curious to see if I can actually finish 9 reads, my 31 books goal isn‘t going super well but if I can do it over two months I‘d still be super proud of myself. The point was to be reading more and I‘m definitely doing that, Litsy has been such a help to me because I feel like I‘m reading with friends and the accountability and inspiration is amazing.
We went for a walk to the park and I took some time to read while she played. Helped me achieve my first walk for #bookfitnesschallenge

Got my new bible today. It is full of beautiful things. I absolutely love it!
I was out and about the whole day yesterday and didn‘t have access to WiFi so I wasn‘t able to make a day 1 post but I did reach my water goal and listened to two hours of Outlander (the narrator is amazing and actually narrated a book I had on cassette tape as a child). Hoping to get a lot of reading done today while I supervise homework and projects.

I have been so busy recently that I haven‘t had much time to read. Time to pick up a contemporary!
I took the weekend to decide if I wanted to participate and have decided I think it will be good for me. Goal: walk three times weekly and drink at least 1 litre of water per day. Also 15 books. I am ready!

Not book related but how cute is my baby brother? Got locked out of my house last night so had to come to my parents home for the night. But I got extra cuddles with my favourite new cutie. And mom and dad made us all pancakes for breakfast. Good time with family.
Molly has warmed up to me enough to purr when I stroke her and to sit near by when I read and am very still #catsoflitsy
Today I was doing orientation for my next university course so I didn‘t have a lot of time to read. But I am almost 100 pages into Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan. #AJreads31books
pickThis month I am going to try and finish 31 books. I will not necessarily have begun the book this month so it won‘t exactly be a book a day. I will also allow myself to reread. But I need this challenge in order to stop myself from spending so much time on my phone. The first book I completed was Heroine by Mindy McGinnis, had an hour left on my audiobook this morning. 5/5 Stars. #AJreads31books
