Okay, out of all the books I managed to get the conference, I narrowed these down to the ones I am the absolute MOST excited to read! The new Joe Hill book! The Raven Boys graphic novel! The new Priory of the Orange Tree prequel by Samantha Shannon! The new John Irving! AND KATABASIS BY R.F. KUANG!!! 😍

Okay friends - I made it through all four days of ALA! Are you ready for the final number of ARCs (and a few already published) books I managed to snag? 170! 😂📚📚📚

My husband was NOT exactly thrilled when he saw how many books we now had to fit into our home! 🤭 To be fair though, I'm not keeping ALL of them! I'm bringing some of them back to my library for my coworkers! 💕

Day Two of my library conference has yielded me 63 more free books! 😱 I'm up to 117 total so far! 🤣😂 📚📚📚

I'm at the American Library Association conference this weekend, and today was the first day! I managed to score 54 free ARCs so I think that could be considered a successful day! 🤭💕📚

It was strawberry shortcake day at the farmer's market today! 🍓🍰 Luckily I was able to get some and get home before the oppressive heat kicked in!

I didn't realize that Annie Hartnett had a new book out, but as soon as I did I scrambled to get a copy! Unlikely Animals and Rabbit Cake are such phenomenal books, so I have really high hopes for this one! 🩷📚

This was my first book by Rina Kent, and I really enjoyed it! She has a ton of books, so I'm excited to dive into the rest of her works. It's a dark romance though, so make sure you read the trigger warnings before deciding to start this one!

Ali Hazelwood NEVER disappoints, and this one in particular was fantastic! 🥰

TODAY IS THE BEST DAY EVER! A new bookstore opened a couple towns over for me, so of course I had to go check it out! The coolest part is that it's a genre specific bookstore - they only sell romance books! 💕📚 Plus shirts, tote bags, and other bookish goodies! It was AWESOME! 📖🩷

It's called Mon Coeur Books and is in Canton, Michigan!

I can't believe it took me so long to read this! It was absolutely wonderful! Classic Sanderson - complex characters, a totally unique magic system, lots of action and twists, and a good smattering of humor! 💕📚

I got up extra early and went to my two favorite local indie bookstores - Schuler Books and Road Less Traveled Books! It was a blast! Reading Robin Wall Kimmerer's new book outside in the woods really is a perfect way to spend a Friday afternoon! 🌿☀️

This book came at me as sort of a surprise. A co-worker was reading it and mentioned that she thought I might like it. I had never heard of it before, but as soon as I started reading it I was hooked! Definitely helped cure some religious trauma, which I was not expecting! This book is phenomenal! If you have ever felt like an outsider, and especially if you have ever been a queer kid growing up in a super religious family - this book is for you!

"Journey before destination..."

I finally finished this, and I am just a roller coaster of emotions! Truly devastating and yet filled with joy and hope. This series has always meant a lot to me, not just because of how much I love Sanderson, but also because each book of The Stormlight Archive I have read with my bestie, @DaveGreen7777 !

So in the last couple of weeks I've discovered this manga and I absolutely fell in love with it! It's called The Summer Hikaru Died and while it's technically classified as horror it's so much more than that! And also, the artwork is absolutely gorgeous! 🥰

Oops! I was determined to leave the bookstore with only one new purchase... well, you can see how that turned out! 🤭📚
