Finally read my arc of Renegades! (Even though it's been out for a while now 🙈). I knew as soon as I started it that it wasn't really my cup of tea but I kept reading because I immediately loved Nova. She's pretty badass and cool and not to mention Italian & Filipino. But she's pretty much all I liked about the book. The ending was good but what it took to get there? Mostly boring bland superhero stuff.

The first and last book on my shelf!! #24in48 is almost over and I wanted to do at least one challenge 😅 I managed to read 3 books this weekend and maybe I'll have time to squeeze in another one, who knows ❤

One of my current reads for Tome Topple is The Book Thief and I can't believe it's taken me so long to finally read this book. I love the way it's written 😍 Also currently reading Queen of Shadows by SJM.

Just finished this one and I definitely enjoyed it more than Dumplin'! I really liked the dual povs and getting to know Millie and Callie more. I think this is a bit longer than necessary with some parts dragging but overall, it was a good read and I tabbed so many quotable moments 😊

I didn't really enjoy the narration for the audiobook but I'll be reading the companion novel Puddin' instead of listening to it so fingers crossed it's more enjoyable. As for the storyline, I'm really not a big fan of ya contemporary but since this is going to be a movie soon, I really wanted to read it lol. What did everyone else think of this one?

David Sedaris is as funny as everyone says he is. I really liked how he talked about his family and relationships with his siblings. My favorite chapter was probably the one about shopping in Japan lol. Can't wait to buy his other books now! What are you all reading this weekend?

This weekend's read is Calypso by David Sedaris 😊 this is my first time reading his work and I'm really enjoying it so far! Is it bad the chapter, Stepping Out, made me want to get a fitbit? Lol 😂😂

I finished My Lady Jane yesterday while dog-sitting! My foot is being used as a pillow in this photo lol 😂 This was a fun ya historical fiction book with a dash of fantasy and a lot of humor (or attempted humor). I got kind of fed up with all the author interruptions after a while but overall, I still enjoyed this and I can't wait to read the next Lady Jane book because it's about JANE EYRE ❤

I wrote a little review of this on my Instagram the other day and I'm still unsure if this is a pick or just so-so lol 😅 I found the book interesting and the plot intriguing but hated Cass and how everything ended. Would love to hear what actual married ppl think of this book lol

Went hiking over the weekend and brought this graphic novel with me ^^ it was a fun read about a little girl named Vera who just wanted to go to camp like the other kids because she felt left out. She goes to Russian camp with her little brother where they learn about their culture and the history of their people. Vera not only learns more about her heritage but also how to make friends and enjoy herself despite the new and scary environment.

JUST FINISHED and I can't even form coherent thoughts right now. This book is so honest and real. It's graphic and TMI but sooo relatable in so many different ways. Penny's love/hate relationship with her mom hits close to home and the romance between her and Sam--MY HEART. It was so cute. I loved reading their texts to each other so much 💕 This might be my favorite contemporary novel yet.

I finished The Young Queens last night so I picked this one up and I AM LOVING IT lol. I'm all for books about sirens 😍😍

Also made it halfway through Emergency Contact and I'm really enjoying the relationship between Sam and Penny develop ^^ so happy to be reading so many good books lately ❤

When Haku was a baby he was a dark brown color but with each shed he's gotten more and more orange 😍

If you're looking for a beach read this summer, I highly recommend The Summer Sail by Wendy Francis! I just finished it and loved it! ❤

The premise didn't sound that interesting at first but with the weather finally nice and warm, I'm so down for books with summer vibes and this was perfect! I loved reading about all the different relationships and friendships, especially the mother-daughter bond between Lee and Lacey. This is such a fun book 😍

If it's an Ally Carter book, I'm binge reading it. Sleep and work be damned lol. I just can't help myself when it comes to the Gallagher Girls 🙈 thankfully all the books were available on libby, now I just need to find the hardcovers to add to my collection 😍 to think I started this series way back in middle school and I'm only finishing it now 😂 (it's been SO worth it though)

Not really my kind of book but some of the chapters were interesting and had good advice. With some lemonade, this might make a nice beach read lol 🌻🍋

Whenever I start one of these books, I get so hooked I have to read until the end...even when I have crazy deadlines to meet 🙈 Cammie Morgan and her friends are some of the few female heroines I truly love reading about ❤

I meant to use this photo for an update but I actually ended up binging the rest of this book and I COULD NOT SLEEP for 2 days because it terrified me lol 🙈 It was fast-paced and addicting the entire way through though and full of so many twists! Would definitely recommend if you're into thrillers and mysteries ^^

I have a problem with reading too many books at once but I can't help it 🙈 This is the book I've been reading before bed lately and I didn't like it at first but now I do! The short chapters are uplifting and amusing. Also featuring my book light from Target lol.

TGIF! 🎉 Hoping to start this one today after work ^^ what's everyone's reading plans for the weekend? 😊

I had high hopes for this one because I love books with witches but it sucked big time (for me anyway lol). I hated the main character and it felt like there was very little growth; she basically does nothing. The plot was meh and I didn't care for the outcome at all. The only thing I found interesting was the prologue lol. It was all downhill from there 🙈

One of my favorite scenes from this book ^^ Ally Carter has been a favorite author of mine ever since I read her Ghallager Girls series when I was younger (they always get me out of reading slumps lol).

Also, since I'm still pretty new to Listy, how often do you all post? I'm curious to know lol

Just finished this and it was as adorable and informative as I hoped! I had never heard of Joan Procter until I saw this at a bookstore and knew I had to read it. She was an amazing woman and I loved reading about her work with reptiles 😊 A must-read for children & adults ^^

p.s. Haku is shedding right now so he's not at his peak orangeness yet lol

A perfect read for Grisha fans & a great way to dive into the world for new readers 😍 this collection of short stories is paired with GORGEOUS illustrations that grow with every turn of a page. The writing is beautiful & mesmerizing, sucking you into a dark enchanting world full of monsters, magic and adventure. Definitely one of my all time favorite books in my collection so far ❤
