So, I‘ve got a question for my #LitsyFamily. This could take a reeaally long time, and you may get bored with this. I‘m going to start boxing all my books up (just after MONTHS of getting them shelved and ordered 😩😔🥵), and I‘ll be taking pictures of them all to know how and where I shelved them.

Would you like me to share them all in close-ups with you?

I‘m taking the pics anyway. It won‘t be every book I own, but most of them for sure.

MrBook @BooknerdsLife I‘m moving out 😔. Might as well get started, it‘ll take awhile *sighs*. I‘d use tubs, but tubs are more than I can afford and would get too heavy to easily lift and move. Smaller boxes do the trick. 5y

Lcsmcat @MrBook Tubs would be way too heavy! As someone who moved A LOT in my 20‘s, I recommend liquor store boxes. And yes, please, show us your books!! 5y

IamIamIam I also moved a bunch of books and I suggest reaching out to local schools for the Scholastic book fair book boxes. I swipe a bunch each fair we have. Also, B&N, if you can find a decent manager, should be able to toss boxes your way. Best of luck to you, Jason! 5y

SW-T The pictures would be cool to see. And grocery and liquor stores often have nice boxes with handles or sturdy crates you can use. Good luck! 5y

I like the buddy reads because I'm always reading several books at a time, and I can read a small section of a book each week for the discussions. We're starting with ch. 1-7, with a discussion of those chapters next Saturday. Just in case you're interested. 😊 6y

2BR02B @JamieArc @britt_brooke @TheWordJar If you click on "My books," under tools there's a link called "owned books" you can easily add books you've already shelved to. I don't think it's public, though. 6y

Natasha.C.Barnes @Riveted_Reader_Melissa Ah, yes...actually my audible and kindle aren't in there either. But TBH I don't think I'll add the kindle books bc id rather own them in print. I've discovered more & more that I don't like reading ebooks because the scale of the page is off so much & there are too many uninterrupted pages of text w/o paragraph breaks as a result. I find myself getting lost in it! I like to be able to flip around & see how far I have to go 6y

The only annoying thing was having to put books in the "read" or "want to read" shelves as well bc some books I own I'm not sure if I actually want to read! ? but that's ok. You can scan whole batches of books and then group add them to multiple shelves at once which I really liked. It helped me fill out the books I've read shelf! 6y

PirateJenny I did it the other way around. Every book I've listed on Goodreads is one I own unless it's on my not owned shelf. I own more than 3000 books though. And that is after weeding and not counting ebooks or books at work. I have a small problem you see. 6y

Liz_M @Natasha.C.Barnes on goodreads you can make your own exclusive shelves. For a while I had a "might-not-read" shelf. Many people create a "reference" or "abandoned" shelf. On your My Books page, click the edit link at the top of the list of shelves on the left. 6y
