OMG I love this series! I seriously too dim to figure anything out but I don‘t care. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ ( that is my main TBR shelf/stack/floor looming in the background taunting me for getting these Lady Sherlock‘s from the library)
#readAway2024 #SeriesLove2024 I enjoyed the relationships in this book, maybe because there are no developing relationships in Arthur Conan Doyle‘s Sherlock Holmes tales. I did have difficulty following Charlotte‘s train of thought in the deductions she made, which is pretty much the way I feel about the original Holmes.
I have been all over the place picking a new read #thestruggleisreal 2/3 buddy reads are a struggle bus ( yes The Brothers Karamazov and The Golden Notebook I am talking about YOU!) Emma of 83rd Street is light and fluffy. I need something good but not too thought provoking, something compelling but fun. Here we go with the next in a series from a buddy read ( please forgive me TBR stacks in my house, it‘s a library read)

Another March #Roll100 pick✅
I absolutely love this series. I adore Charlotte Holmes as Sherlock. This book just added to my love of the characters in this series. I also really liked that Olivia has started writing and can‘t wait to see how that story line will continue. Its refreshing to see that all the women in this series are extremely interesting, intelligent and talented. It has a great mystery, beloved characters and potential love stories. A perfect mix for me.

After reading the first book in the Lady Sherlock series with the #PemberLittens #JaneAdjacent readalong, I had to read the second & now I fear I might be hooked on a new series! 🤦🏻♀️ I‘m not even that much of a Sherlock Holmes fan but I find Charlotte Holmes & her friends quite delightful. In this one, the mystery hits close to home & the focus is more on Charlotte‘s investigation as Inspector Treadles remains ⬇️
Highly enjoyable. Fun take on the Sherlock Holmes oeuvre.
I‘m beginning to think I have a penchant for historical novels featuring women in unconventional roles. This series featuring Charlotte Holmes and Mrs Watson solving mysteries and tangling with the so far elusive Moriarty is very good. I‘ll be continuing, especially considering not one but two surprises I did not come close to guessing. I love when an author makes me gasp! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Book 2 in the Lady Sherlock series is another pick. The deeper I get into this series the more I‘m enjoying it. I love the twist of Sherlock actually being a woman. I think Charlotte is a badass and I like that she is so unusual. It‘s refreshing. I‘d highly recommend this series! 4⭐️

Deeply invested. I am deeply invested in this series, these characters. It‘s affecting me on a personal level. Gushing aside, these books are actually quite complex in terms of side characters and I find myself flicking back to check who people are on occasion. But gosh, I do love this series. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I‘m not sure why I wasn‘t going to continue this series. I really liked the first book but then didn‘t add the next to my TBR.
This book is right in my wheelhouse. A historical mystery and a Sherlock Holmes twist.
Definitely adding the next to my TBR.

It‘s been a while since I read the first in this series but I still enjoyed the sequel. I love the concept of Charlotte Holmes as the real Sherlock. I hope to read the rest a lot sooner.

Well, I'm just getting all into this series. So much fun! This book picks up exactly where the last left off, swooping you into a new adventure filled with excitement and a little romance! Loving this reimagining of the Sherlock stories.
Making the most of my final summer weekend and loving the Lady Sherlock series!
This is the second in the Lady Sherlock series, and while it was fine, I think I preferred the first. This one was a bit harder to keep up with the twists/turns/characters. And one thing I found distracting was the abrupt changes in locales and also the multiple cases presented. I find with this series that I really have to read closely to catch every nuance. I‘m still getting used to Charlotte and her eccentricities, but she‘s growing on me, 🔻
I‘m marking this as a pick, but I thought a long time about it. I did not enjoy this as much as the first in the series. The characters are great, the writing is wonderful, but the plot was Byzantine, and I felt deflated by the somewhat head-scratching ending. The picture has absolutely nothing to do with the book, but a picture of our friends‘ garden when we stayed with them in England. We were supposed to visit again in July 😢
#nextup I haven‘t been in a reading rut, just not here on Litsy much the last couple of weeks. I intend to remedy that 😄 I started this in the waiting room at the doctor‘s office the other day between my stress test and echocardiogram. It‘s been a while since I read the first of this series, trying to get the characters straight again.
This series if fast becoming my 'go-to' when I'm craving a fun read. It's well written, with a wide cast of interesting characters, and just the right amount of nodded reverence to the original! A superb reimagining of Sherlock and Watson - with the appearance of London fog for good measure!
3.5⭐️ Thought it was ok. Can‘t recall my impressions as it‘s been a week since I completed it #2020 #fiction #mystery #stayhome24in48
Finally starting #stayhome24in48 with some stuff on my Libby account. Also watching S3 of The Handmaid‘s Tale on Crave.

🗓 My family is very involved in community theatre, so weekends typically involve going to/being in shows. Going to support friends in two different shows this weekend, plus a back-to-school picnic.

I'm a sucker for a Sherlock retelling & these are fun! On to number 3! 😁

Basically a perfect, lazy summer morning. #catsofLitsy
I did NOT see that coming. Even in a Sherlock retelling.
(Don't worry. This is in no way a spoiler, which is why I didn't mark it as such.) #currentread #currentlyreading

Love this whole couple of paragraphs. Most especially: “God gives us only one life. But with good books, we can live a hundred, even a thousand lives in the time we are allotted on this earth.”

I wish I had not waited so long to read this. She brought in a lot of plot points from the first book that I didn‘t remember AT ALL. But, still enjoyable. I think I need to read the 3rd one ASAP.
Not much reading for me today. I didn't really watch the game, and evidently didn't miss much. Normally I read, but this year I did laundry and helped my oldest with his science fair project display poster. The kid did not inherit my crafting gene, and can't be bothered to cut a straight line. So, I've been his proofreader and artistic consultant.😄 Stole about an hour with this book tonight before night night time. I'm really liking this series.
I found the plot of this #audiobook difficult to follow. Maybe it‘s easier when one reads the printed version. Also, I listened at bedtime and frequently fell asleep! It was a nice, light book to drift off to. ☺️
Another catch up from my last week in Washington: I raced through this. The second Lady Sherlock is just as much fun as the first, maybe more. So good.
