Ah yes, once more I roll in several days late after being gone for... months. Hi ??

I injured my knee in early May and I'm just now coming back to regular heavy exercise, so getting back to running is my main focus right now. #BFC2022

1) Run 10K each week (lofty, but I am nothing if not optimistic)
2) Read 1000 pages (also very lofty, you know the drill)
3) Read 10 books
4) Eating "mindfully". Actually chewing my dang food. ??

#bfc21 has been interesting in Sept - after a kick ass August , I have some answers to my chronic pain - and that I have hypermobility syndrome- so if anyone has knowledge resources or experience in it please share!, diabetes- learning food adjustments must be permanent, torn rotator cuff, and my vitamin D level was 18- so could be worse🤣 Allons-y

Gosh, I can't believe we're already at the end of this round of #bfc. It didn't go quite according to plan fitness wise for me, but I made and exceeded my reading goal, which is quite enough for me. I've been a passenger on the Struggle Bus this week - pictured is a snapshot of today. So bad. My wrist isn't improving as fast as I'd have thought it would, and I'm starting to notice some muscle atrophy in my arm and that's really messing with me? Idk. I've focused all my energy on getting back on the meditation wagon and have thus far managed 5/7 nights, which I'm super happy with! 😄😄

I've been mostly flowing the doctor's orders to not antagonise my wrist all week, so not a lot of general physical fitness has been going on. Did manage 43K steps, though, which baffled me. Returned to guided meditations at bedtime, a practice I loved last summer but stopped doing for some odd reason, and it's just the most calming thing. ALSO finished two books! 📚❤️ That's it, that's my week. 😂 #bookfitnesschallenge #bfc #bfcr2 @wanderinglynn

Pictured is the welcome-home committee when I returned from the one run I've been on this week ❤️ Overall it's been decidedly not good on the fitness part, but much better on the reading. I've spent so much time fretting and anxious about ganglion-surgery on Monday, exercise has been replaced with anti-anxiety cross-stitching and audiobooks 😟 Idk what to do about post-surgery goals, but we shall see. Onwards and upwards! 💃💃

Megabooks I understand about surgeries. They make them hard to think about other things. 💜💜 I‘ve had over 20 procedures under anesthesia in the last year. They can throw you off. Will be thinking of you! 💜💜 5y

I surprised myself when I tallied up my numbers this morning. I may not have finished any books, but I'm halfway through the three I've got going, so I'm on track! Thought I was going to get a headstart on W2 by running this morning, but at 7am it was 25 degrees out, so I went back to bed... 😂😂

Final check-in for #bookfitnesschallenge reveals that I did surprisingly well on my "50K steps/week"-goal, in the sense that over the 6 weeks I totalled 305K. That's... baffling. I also learned that limiting myself to only counting running and gymming as "exercise" is annoying so I've switched it up for round two. Book goal? Not hit. Missed by 1 ?This has been so much fun and I can't /wait/ for more of it in the next round!

Week 3 of #bfc was off to a slow start and barely made it - the weather and deadly illness (it is not deadly and it's barely illness, but I am very dramatic) but a stop to all my running dreams, and I just baaaarely got my 50K steps. It's been a bad week, steps-wise and I only managed one out of two runs, but at least I went to the gym thrice? And finished a book? 💪💃

In other news I'm having surgery in my wrist soon-ish (on an as of yet undetermined but nearby date) and have been told that exercise is out of the question for at least two weeks. What do?? 😂🙄🤔

alisiakae Thanks for the tag @wanderinglynn Yoga is probably not the best idea post-surgery, it can be hard on the wrists. Rest and recovery is crucial! Will you be having PT after surgery? 5y
okthislooksbad @4thhouseontheleft I've been doing yoga for a while but with horrible form because I can't put any weight on the wrist when it's bent (I have a ganglion cyst that needs out 😔), and it's definitely out of the question for the first month or so. I think there's gonna be some kind of PT involved as soon as the stitches are out, but that's probably gonna be more mobility/strength than anything. There isn't much one can do one-handed 🤔😂 5y

I present to you, my hack-job of a #bookfitnesschallenge tracker. Whatever works! 😂 I succeeded in both going to the gym and running x2, and passed my 50K steps by Wednesday. This is where I thank you all for existing because I hate it when people know I've failed myself and not done anything healthy so I kinda have to. Thank you lots and lots ❤️❤️
According to my maths I've racked up 26 points, but how to do numbers tbh 🤔😂

Been pondering this for days but finally took the plunge. I'm in. I've been slacking too much lately and need the extra motivation of knowing someone is going to know that I did nothing all week 😂😂

Committed myself to 8 books (I think? Might've been 9🤔#25goingon93) as well as running at least 4 km twice a week and go to the gym twice a week, as well at getting at least 50K steps a week. Doable, but a challenge. Halp. 😂

Another planner and book goal thing- I'm spending each week with a cookbook already in my collection. Since I don't really "plan" on Saturdays I use that space to track the recipes I want to try and what I've made.
