I admit that I‘ve been doing my best to choose lighthearted reads lately. It‘s been helping me a lot to be more level emotionally, especially during this pandemic that seems some days like it will never end. This book helped me a lot. It reminded me to hope and to dream, and it reminded me that it‘s important to live your life for yourself and not try to always make everyone else happy. A beautiful and inspiring and hopeful read. I loved it.

Loved this book. A light easy read. You see themes of complicated family dynamics, self exploration and well timed humor cloaked by the genre of romance. This is a cozy one day read.

I couldn‘t put this down. You will fall in love with Blix! You will cheer Marnie on her adventure. @FeatherV you will like this one.

When your favorite character dies, the whole reason you fell in love with the book....and you‘re not even halfway through it. 😢

This book is adorable. You know from the get-go the sadness serves to make the goodness sweeter. Why do we know this, you ask? Because a lively, magical octogenarian tells us so. ...I‘ve even updated by long held motto to a new one: Whatever happens, love that.

Looking forward to a quiet weekend of read this quirky, sweet book. Life has been so difficult lately and I hav been quiet on Litsy recently, but I am still here and following along with everyone and reading.

I went into this one expecting another basic rom com (nothing against those- I love them. 😊). But this was more than that- there were surprises that I didn‘t see coming and a few places that left me teary. I am sleepy today because I stayed up too late last night to finish it!

This is my review for a book I borrowed from Amazon Prime called #matchmakingforbeginners. I finished listening to this book last night after watching the #worldseries Game 2. The Houston Astros lost against the Washington Nationals last night and I was so sad about it but this book made me feel better. The #worldseries is not over yet. I‘m going to be on the edge of my seat watching the games on tv to see who wins but I‘m rooting for the Astros.

I‘d never heard of this book or this author, yet, I so enjoyed this read! Magical realism, but in a way that felt so natural. Some great storylines about self discovery, wholeness and brokenness, and friends who become family. I‘m going to look for more by this author!

This is a very longwinded, slightly depressing romance. Magic, matchmaking, and relationship snafus galore.

This was a fun rom-com with magic and spells and matchmaking. Marnie sets out to help others and ends up learning some things about herself along the way.

Loved this book and its characters. Highly recommend.

I'm halfway through this and am really enjoying it. It's the large print edition because that's what my library had and it is also easier on my eyes.

Sweet, thoughtful, charming contemporary romance. This was a great light read as my first *complete* book of 2019.⠀

I ended up much more in love with these flawed characters because of their flaws and while not everyone overcomes them, which is true in life, I loved them anyway and can't wait to read another book from Dawson in the future. 4 ⭐

I think I made it a whole week and a half without having any library books in my house. That doesn't sound like very much time, but I work at the library so I'm always seeing books I want to read.

The good thing about a full day back in the office after working from home for two months is that the library is right here. I got some Xmas books and i want to just go home and curl up with them! So I started this one while hiding out in the cold car before I go back in to work, and I‘m loving it so far.

With this title, I was expecting a light, fluffy book that didn‘t need thinking. Nope. Heavy stuff, right here. Makes you reflect on how you‘re living life.

Oh, how I adored this book! A journey to self discovery with a cast of quirky, lovable, flawed characters. Such a sweet story that had me shedding a few tears. This book is going to be one of my favorites this year. ❤️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

A little confession: I ❤️ words & some words are favorites. This is one of those words. I use it often & I hardly ever see it when reading. When I do see it, I feel like the book & the author are somehow connected to me - like we are meant to be together. Fitting for this particular book. I know that there are other Littens here who will get this, who will understand. For when I say things like this to my friends & family, they think I‘m nuts. 😉
