This one was recommended by a bookstagramer I follow and I didn‘t read any description first. I wasn‘t expecting the difficult topics it would cover. I loved the way the author handled these subjects. I highly recommend!

I tried hard to like this & at about the halfway mark, I got really invested. I felt like she finally allowed emotions to come out. Then she lost me again. Even though I feel for her, the situation she was in, & the cause she‘s fighting for, the writing was just really repetitive & drawn out. My expectations could have been too high due to the reviews I read. I don‘t regret reading the book. I just was expecting more emotion & not as much polish.

I have high standards for Amy Harmon books. I have to give this one #fourstars although I really feel like that 5th star probably could‘ve been achieved if I‘d read the book rather than listened to it. I had really high hopes for this book and I will say I was a little worried in the beginning. I caught myself skimming parts and just didn‘t care for the writing in the beginning. Butttt.... Mariana redeemed herself in the end. I fell in love again and her characters are just so realistic and loveable. ❤️ Second chance romances are hard to write and not always my favorites but Mariana did a great job with this one.

I became a huge fan of Kim Jones at Book Bonanza this year. The girl is hilarious. She hosted the closing ceremony and completely stole the spotlight. 😂 I‘d never read any of her books so I needed to give her a try. This wasn‘t what I was expecting. It was much more serious than I would expect from her. I did find it funny that she made Harper Sloan into a stripper. That was perfect. 🤣 #romantsy #badboy

This one was tough to read but the message was so worth it. It‘s a book everyone should read. I wish I had read it prior to meeting her last weekend! She was sweet and reserved but so endearing. I just finished re-reading this one in preparation for #bookbonanza19. I couldn‘t believe it‘s been 6 years since I first read it. Some books are forgettable but as soon as I started this one again, it all came back to me! I highly recommend anything written by Penny Reid!
