so many good things have already been said about this series so here is my review in emojis.
Our shelves are really getting crowded. We definitely need a dedicated home library in our next house. 📚 #Shelfie
Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples's Saga continues to epitomize all that is glorious about fantasy for me: it's so, so real. This series confronts the issues that are super relevant right. now. . . . just in space and with aliens. We're talking abortion and war and violence and screens and love and creation. It's gorgeous and sad and sexy and perfect. (continued in comments)
Really, what is there to say that hasn't already been said about Saga? Any volume!
I have a huge crush on/wanna be Alana 💜🧡💛💚❤
And I love her *ahem* forthrightness! Lol
My last book finished... Volume 3 of Saga, good way to end my third #24in48. I had started another short read and was contemplating letting the time go on, but my eyes are killing me and two days of 5 AM wake up calls are hitting me. To everyone still reading YOU CAN DO IT and even if you don't get the 24 hours, I hope you had a fun and relaxing weekend 😍📚🙌. Official finish time 10:17 PM est 😊.
I am continuing to enjoy this series. I liked this one even more because of the book love and more family and love connections being made.
What will I do now that I‘ve read the ones available as ebooks from the library?

Can‘t wait for the next volume
Another amazing instalment! This has a dash of everything - romance, betrayal, humour, revenge, shock revelations, tenderness, sexiness, violence, hope, tragedy - the whole gamut! Alana, Marko and Hazel may live in another time and dimension but they have an universality that is engrossing - family sagas are the best sagas!
Coming super late to this party because I didn‘t think graphic novels were my thing. Persepolis was my first. (I admired it more than I enjoyed it.) Saga was my second. This is much more my speed. Intense, funny, imaginative, poignant, STRANGE, rather terrifying. I mean, look at this picture. It‘s weird. (With much more sex and bloodshed than I was expecting. I‘m cool with it though.) Vol. 2 on its way to my doorstep as we speak.
The creators of Saga recommend other comics for fans: https://www.goodreads.com/blog/show/1358-the-creators-of-saga-recommend-books-fo...
As long as I‘m doing birthday posts, I had to post these awesome gifts that @kylienoele sent me. They‘ve been coming in one at a time (and apparently there are still more coming? Spoiled!) so while I‘ve been so sad lately, these little surprises have really put a smile on my face. The Ghüs print and the Targaryen bookmark are incredible, and I LOVE all the flamingo stuff!!! Thank you again @kylienoele ??
I honestly think I went to the library four times in the past week, picking up an increasing stack of books and dropping off a few returns in exchange. I‘m working my way through Saga as of yesterday and damn do I love it. It‘s so weird and sad and beautiful. I just finished book 2 and need to take short break before moving on to 3. And I have so many other good books I‘m neglecting!!
There‘s just so much to love about Saga! At its core it‘s about deep, personal issues. It‘s about love and hate, and interracial relationships, prejudice, acceptance, and the ups and downs of family life. All cleverly disguised as wacky (and very adult) space adventure. ❤️ #LoveMeDo #HeyJune @Cinfhen
Been getting ready for a May 5 craft show and not reading as much, but here‘s a little Funko Friday of Marko and Alana so y‘all don‘t forget about me! I‘ve just ordered Isabel, too!
I meant to post this yesterday but I was too tired. I finally got Alana with Baby Hazel! So now my Saga Funko Pop collection is complete! 😆 (and yes, I know there are like three more versions on Lying Cat and one more Alana, but these are the only ones I wanted) I‘m thinking it‘s almost time for a re-read!
