This graphic novel is a retelling of the classic Snow White, but told by the queen. In it, Snow White is not the innocent and kind girl we know from the original story. Definitely not suitable for children (scenes of erotic nature). The illustration style is very beautiful, and very different than in most comics.
I‘m stuck in bed today, so I can‘t get my copy of this beautiful book down off the top shelf for you, but this is my favorite #Apple book. #NovemberNarrative @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
so-soI wanted to like this book. But it is so dark and not my cup of tea at this time. I give it three stars for the beautiful imagery. And i would suggest it if you like a dark retelling of Snow White.

This was an interesting retelling of Snow White. Snow White was actually the villain while the queen was the good character. I would like to have read more about Snow's background as to how she was a vampire and what was that dark liquid between her legs?

The story of Snow White reimagined with the queen as the protagonist and Snow White as a vampire. Fantastic idea, as her description of black hair, white skin, and red lips is very vampiric. The artwork in this was absolutely stunning and I now want a physical copy. #screamathon2020

I said to the universe if there is good out there show me 😭🤯 your package was at my doorstep when I got out of the car. pickI absolutely loved this comic! Seriously the story is a great retelling with an awesome twist... but... oh man but... the art work is GORGEOUS seriously after reading this I flip through it 2 more times because I just wanted to look at the art work over and over.
pickHonestly I bought this for two reasons 1) It's Neil Gaiman and 2) that damn cover is gorgeous! This is a comic that is a dark take of Snow White and oh man I loved it the story is great but the art... oh the art is freaking beautiful!
pickThis is a creepy but not horrible scary version of Snow White. The art is phenomenal, and while the story is creepy; it is not truly horror, and the way the story is told is an interesting version. 4/5 stars, read this if you enjoy dark fairy tales and deco art. I can‘t even do a summary w/o giving away a lot, let‘s just say that it‘s got some witchcraft, some vampires, and some of the best art I‘ve seen in a graphic novel.

pickWoah. Gorgeous gorgeous artwork helps tell this Snow White story as only Gaiman could write it. Very dark, twisted, sexual... and where the stepmother is maybe not as evil as her stepdaughter. Sorry for the Kindle glare.

pickSuch beautiful artwork! And I love the idea behind this retelling. I‘m a huge fan of Gaiman, and this is probably my least favorite of his work in terms of writing, but it‘s still pretty cool.

It's rare that I intensely dislike any of his work. Unfortunately, this is one of those cases. This is the second time I've read this story—I wouldn't have picked this up, had I remembered.

I have a book that I‘m excited to read and I woke up sick today. It started with a sore throat and has turned into aches and my skin hurts. Hopefully I can manage a good nights sleep and relax tomorrow.
As long as Amazon doesn‘t lie to me, I should be getting this tomorrow. I‘m thinking I‘ll read this and see what graphic novels I have to read.

pickTweaking the fairy tale I've known and adding elements of Gothic horror, Neil gave me a brand new and darker way of looking at this story and I love that. I love how even as I pieced it together, I was still looking forward to the writing which didn't disappoint.
Colleen's artwork was a beautiful backdrop against Neil's retelling of Snow White that haunts me in the best of ways.
pickInteresting, and a little bit terrifying, take on the Snow White story. The artist writes that she deliberately changed some of her original art because she and Gaiman didn‘t want this book to appeal to children. It‘s not a kid-friendly story, but it‘s a lovely book.
So, this pretty thing arrived today, but I‘m going to delay reading it until I am relaxed. 😊

I did not like the story. Snow White is an evil vampire, and the queen is good. However, Gaiman concentrates on the horror and the sex, so this becomes just an erotic, gory vampire fantasy. No character development or meaning. Too self serving for my taste. ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
