Spreading some love by getting shelf-trophies. 😁
I think I need to get new shelves next. 😬
Love love love
I do not read romance normally but this sounded interesting 🤔 needed to know how a flatshare would work exactly. Thought I'd get that info then DNF but I actually enjoyed it 😄 and finished it.
I liked this well enough while reading it and read the first 60% when I had a physical library copy before it was due. But it was never compelling enough for me to go out of my way to pick it up again. Finally listened to the rest on audio cause I needed something to listen to at work. I liked Tiffy and the premise was unique. Would get frustrated with Leon‘s sometimes poor communication skills. I liked that story developed their friendship first.
So looking forward to this!
This book started off a little slow but after the first five or so chapters I was completely invested in the story of Leon and Tiffy. Tiffy's toxic relationship with Justin didn't seem so bad in the beginning, as it was being perceived by Tiffy. But after a while as she starts to realize how abusive he was towards her, it starts to become very apparent in the story. I even teared up a little at the end..
“And then the doorbell rings.”
Stupid doorbell! 😆 Just when things are getting 🌶️
Also, feel that Tiffy would appreciate the shark-print skirt I‘m wearing. Love reading about her different quirky outfits!
“I follow Tiffy and Johnny as they weave their way between sunbathers and deck chairs on their way to the shoreline. Stop for a moment to kick off my shoes, the pebbles cool beneath my feet. Sun blazes low across the water and wet shingle shines silver. Tiffy‘s hair burns red. Johnny White is wrestling off his shirt as he goes.
And now . . . ahh. Tiffy is, too.”
February 3 #LoveAthonReadingPromts Forced Proximity This is a good book that does just that. After all, sharing a place to live can be difficult.. @StayCurious @Clwojick

Read this with the #littensloveromance crew. Very unique premise - I've loved everything by this author so far
@Andrew65
This wasn‘t the lighthearted rom-com I was expecting, but I still really like it. Leon was a man of few words but he was so sweet and supportive, and I enjoyed reading about Tiffy‘s journey towards healing.
Our romantic character is in serious loving matter due a social media content show without her permission...
This #firstlinefridays reflect one of her hard moment...

#LittensLoveRomance Have you heard about the new tv show that‘s coming to paramount +? Take a look! I‘ll be watching for sure! https://youtu.be/Ot5KPF_Jtbs
I hadn‘t been drawn to this, but when it became a #LittensLoveRomance choice I thought I‘d give it a go. Overall I enjoyed it, but I thought it was a brave choice to include so many serious themes (emotional abuse, stalking, PTSD, criminal justice, palliative care) in what was marketed as a rom-com. I particularly liked that the voices of the MCs were distinct from one another, too often in dual narrator books I forget which POV I am reading.
I liked how realistic characters felt, but to be honest I was more interested in some minor characters' stories than main characters.
I thought this would have been fun and light but suddenly characters were dealing with quite disturbing issues and it took some pleasure away because I had thought I would get a fluffy story.
I was entertained but after all the hype I think I waited to get more.

September update of my #readingbracket2022
This one was just a very unique romance that I thoroughly enjoyed 😊
I really enjoyed both #LittensLoveRomance books for September. The Flatshare & The Stand-In. I am happy I participated because I don‘t think I would have chosen to read either. I will definitely read another book by those authors.
#LitsyLoveRomance This was a very delightful read. Love how we saw each character in their own chapters. This was a way for us to see there thoughts. Would I do a flat share? Not if I had to share the bed. I really loved how they dealt with this.
#LittensLoveRomance September Book Discussion (the first). Hi guys! Thank you to all who read The Flatshare and put up with my inconsistent posting. Here are some discussion questions for those of you that read the book. Feel free to add your own down below.
#LittensLoveRomance September Read: I really enjoyed the audio of this book. The performances were well done and of course I loved the accents. This is a really sweet romance but it also delves into more serious issues. I did think it went on slightly too long, but I was also feeling bad for botching up my reading timeline, so that could have played a part. I would definitely pick up this author‘s work again though.
#LittensLoveRomance Ch.65-epilogue: Leon doing his own grand gesture by climbing up the balcony was so sweet! Thank goodness he came to his senses, even before Richie called. Also, Martin is a worm, Justin isn‘t going to easily forget that 17000 pound proposal but I think Tiffy has it handled, and thank heavens Richie is out! Or rather thank Gertie. I loved the epilogue as well - very romantic. Finished in the nick of time! Discussion tomorrow!
#LittensLoveRomance Ch.61-64: Ack! I feel for Leon, I really do. He‘s dealing with Richie‘s trial and then thinks he gets dumped by Tiffy via You Tube. But man, pick up the phone when Tiffy calls! Do it, for me? I was very frustrated by these chapters. Now I‘m off to read more so I can finish the book by Sunday for our discussion! (I believe in me🤣)
#LittensLoveRomance Ch.57-60: Alright, so I‘m already tense about Richie‘s trial, and then Justin has to pull that horrible stunt - at Tiffy‘s work function no less. And of course Leon sees it…(not sure I believe he‘d see it right away on You Tube-he doesn‘t seem like an avid Social Media fellow-but am aware he would have found out soon so that hardly matters)-I‘m so angry at this turn of events. Gah! How will Tiffy get this sorted?
#LittensLoveRomance Ch.53-56: I‘m so glad Tiffy is in counselling and that Leon is such a great understanding guy. I can‘t imagine having flashes of memory right when things are getting good. I feel bad for them both but am happy Tiffy is trying to work through it. Do you think she needs to confront Justin? Or stay away from him?
#LittensLoveRomance Ch.49-52: Instead of derailing their romance, Justin‘s visit seems to have brought Tiffy and Leon closer. Leon is such a sweet guy - when he wrote to Tiffy that he wouldn‘t hurt her - swoon💜And he agreed to model wool for her. That‘s pretty special, if you ask me.
#LittensLoveRomance Ch.45-48: Man! things were finally happening between Tiffy & Leon, and then Justin comes over…at midnight? This guy is seriously crazy and Tiffy needs a restraining order. Thank goodness Leon was there! And props for how he handled it. I just hope Tiffy is ok and this doesn‘t slow down their romance too much.
#LittensLoveRomance Ch.41-44: Ack! So behind in this read-along…will finish before discussion on Sunday😅Anyway: I liked these chapters where we see Tiffy and Leon start to loosen up around each other with the help of a little whiskey and free pudding. But when they get up to their room there‘s an awkward will they won‘t they missed kiss moment - and now Tiffy feels bad and Leon feels regretful. Hopefully they get their moment again.
I went ahead and finished this one for #littensloveromance
My library hold was due and it was just so dang good I couldn't put it down lol. I loved this! The premise was so unique and I loved seeing Tiffy and Leon's relationship evolve. @StayCurious looking forward to the end of book discussion
Leon needs more more and since he works night as a nurse, he decides to rent out his flat to someone who needs it during the night and the weekends.
Tiffy‘s relationship with her boyfriend has ended, and it‘s about time she moves out of his flare.
So they becomes flatmates, and we all knows where this ends. What I didn‘t except was some of the serious themes the book looks at like gaslighting, manipulation and mental abuse.
#LittensLoveRomance Ch.37-40: Tiffy & Leon actually go out -to the seaside to meet another Johnny White. Tiffy twists her ankle in true damsel in distress fashion and nearly drowns and Leon jumps in fully clothed and saves her! Part of me felt this was romantic, and part of me felt it was a bit try-hard(by the author, not Leon)But that‘s just me. Now they‘ll be staying the night while Tiffy recovers…sharing a bed while the other is there?!? Oh my!
#LittensLoveRomance Ch.33-36: finally things seem to be moving up for Tiffy. She got promoted finally, and she is starting to come to terms with how damaging her relationship was with Justin. I do worry how that will come to an end. Alarms are ringing the more she remembers. I love that Leon and Tiffy finally meet (with their clothes on this time). Looking forward to seeing them grow closer.
I have no idea how to stick to a reading schedule with an audiobook 🤣!
This was a quick, easy read. I didn‘t love the audio version but I think because it‘s different than I‘m used to. When they were talking to someone on the phone the audio was lower and a little different (like you were actually hearing them on the phone). It just annoyed me.
I would never have picked this up without #LittensLoveRomance
#LittensLoveRomance Ch.29-32: Well at least they talked about the awkward first encounter. If they‘d let it lie it would have been worse for sure. Thank goodness Gertie took Richie‘s case! I really feel as though he got the raw deal. I really like the continuing back and forth between Tiffy and Leon and can‘t wait for their next encounter in person.
#LittensLoveRomance Ch.25-28: Justin is toxic! Doesn‘t he see that he‘s hurting Tiffy just by approaching her? No wonder Tiffy is having a hard time moving on and is hungover the next day and can‘t get out of bed on time. Boy, her first meeting with Leon was awkward and pretty adorably embarrassing haha. But seriously, did they never discuss the possibility of running into the other if one of them was sick or something? They were so unprepared!
#LittensLoveRomance Ch.21-24: Oh boy! I knew it was coming but the break up between Kay and Leon happened, and I feel so bad for Leon. I wonder how long they were together for? Break ups suck but when you‘re being asked to choose between family and your partner it makes it worse. Where‘s Leon going to spend his weekends now? He can‘t be a nomad forever. Meanwhile Tiffy is trying to move on but it seems that Justin still has a hold on her.
#LittensLoveRomance -Since my audio copy from Scribd decided to skip several chapters I was able to get a new copy from audible and am ready to go again. (I‘m also back from camping and have access to wifi again - yay!) Over the next couple of days, I‘ll be posting a bunch to catch up to my original reading plan. If this seems more annoying than Tiffy‘s hoarding scarves and taking over Leon‘s closet-let me know and I‘ll take you off the tag list💜
I had to give this book to another friend so I blew through it but will still continue to discuss with #littensloveromance. #bookspin Suffice it to say I 💙 this one! @StayCurious @TheAromaofBooks
My library loan was expiring so I couldn‘t stick to the #LittensLoveRomance schedule, but I loved this book! Funny and sweet, but this story still touches on some more serious issues. Well-written with lovable characters, and the audio is very well-narrated.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
#LittensLoveRomance - I was happily listening to my audiobook from Scribd and it suddenly skipped 3 chapters! Has anyone else had this issue? I emailed support and they said “we‘re aware of the problem…” but didn‘t offer any solution. So I‘m currently looking to get another copy so I can continue. Stay tuned and hope you‘re enjoying your reads!
Whew, this week has been crazy!! But here is my pile of #BookMail from Tuesday that I am just now posting... my #FallingForFallSwap package arrived safely @avanders - I think it's from @quietjenn ? So excited!! I splurged and got a bonus BOTM this month (I skipped last month, so it all balances out, right??) Dangerous Beauty is a book to review for Random House and @julieclair Venetia arrived safe & sound for #LMPBC !! I'm catching up on The ⬇
#LittensLoveRomance Ch.17-20: playing catch-up! The question is: when will Tiffy and Leon meet? If Kay has anything to say about it:Never. I felt when Tiffy was walking through the halls of the hospice and kept missing Leon, it was a bit like a Scooby-Doo chase scene, haha. I love that Leon cares so much about Tiffy‘s response to his brother‘s situation- funny he doesn‘t care as much about Kay‘s opinion…
#LittensLoveRomance Ch.13-16 Sorry for being behind-finding it hard to chase after rowdy 11 month old & listen to book while camping!) Having Tiffy “meet” Richie feels like an important step, considering Leon can‘t even talk to Kay about him. We know how important Richie is to Leon. I like Tiffy as a person - she wasn‘t judgemental about Richie. How can Leon put up with Kay‘s reaction to Ritchie‘s situation? Love Tiffy‘s obsession with scarves
5 ⭐️ This is my first read with #LittensLoveRomance and it was too good for me to pace myself! I stayed up past my bedtime to finish it last night 😂. I don‘t know what subgenre of romance this is- where people enter each other‘s lives out of necessity and then stay for love- but it‘s my absolute favorite! There was a great mix of heavier topics that fit right in with the romance.
#LittensLoveRomance Ch.9-12 - sorry for late post! Am camping and internet is so spotty that I have to balance on one foot with foil on my head…Tiffy sort of sees her ex from across the room and he makes confusing bedroom eyes at her, then sends confusing text. What a jerk if you ask me! I‘m glad her friends stopped her from making a mistake - like seeing him again. I am enjoying her back and forth with Leon - so cute.
#LittensLoveRomance Ch.5-8: A few sad details from Leon‘s life - his brother is in prison, and his job can be very difficult. Also his gf seems reasonably nice - well so long as her territory is not being threatened. And Leon does what she wants and doesn‘t mention his brother or talk to his new roommate - his new roommate who brought all her eclectic furniture and knickknacks much to Leon‘s dismay. Haha, interesting start to this romance.
#LittensLoveRomance Ch.1-4: Tiffy just broke up with what sounds like a very on again off again guy (bit of a dooch if you ask me) and is desperate for a place to live that‘s within her meager budget. Leon is in need of some extra cash and Tiffy, though she seems a bit annoying, may be the answer. He‘s willing to share his flat (and we have a title…)We also learn that Tiffy‘s ex-after only 3 months-is engaged!
My second book by Beth O‘Leary. I really enjoyed reading The Switch and I recommend it often. Glad to be joining #LittensLoveRomance for discussions. Hopefully it will help with my slump.
The book goes really well with leftover birthday cake.💖🎂😏
