Unpopular opinion time: I tried to get into this one but couldn‘t. It gives Lewis Carroll writing Alice in Wonderland vibes (meaning he was definitely on something when he wrote this 😆). I‘m trying to clear out my currently reading shelf before New Year‘s Day so I had to bail on this one. But looking forward to next month‘s read for #ChildrensClassicRead2025 !

A little disappointed in the “Bobby Ewing in the shower” ending but otherwise a lovely, colorful read. I‘m always a sucker for talking animals.

“Box of Delights” is apparently a sequel to “The Midnight Folk”. Master Kay isn‘t that fascinating of a character but I will give it a go nonetheless.

I'm in the middle of Hid From Our Eyes but it's going on the backburner for my Christmas books and my overdue library book (oops). I know I can get my two Christmas books read this week but don't know if I'll have enough time off to get to Savage Son. We shall see. #weeklyforecast

The BBC tv adaptation was a staple of my childhood Christmases... and also I remember it kinda creeped me out! But I‘ve never read it....

When I was a kid, watching The Box Of Delights on TVOntario was a Christmas tradition. One of these days I'll pick up the book to read during the holiday season.

The Box of Delights is one of the best books to read during the holidays - plenty of magic, adventure, and cozy homecomings, set in an idyllic snowy England between the Wars.

I am so happy to be home again, and even more happy to have picked up these boxes of goodies. I don't even know how I got all of this home on my bike, but I am so glad I did!
