And just like that, hours and hours later, I‘m back in my regular reading spot for #hyggehour with Lark Rise to Boredom, a pink gin smash ( there is no dry January happening here) and an emptied bowl of potato chips for all of my hard work today #cheerstome
And the new year with the #HashtagBrigade begins!
I loved the TV series but have yet to read the book. Looking forward to the hashtags and reading journey!
My #boringkindlecover for this month‘s #hashtagbrigade read. Not gonna lie I got nervous when I saw a 17 minute chapter to start but it was mostly about food so it was fine.

Ok #hashtagbridade you have voted and here are the winners! I tried to make sure we are only reading a chapter a day so a few of the start dates are a little weird, we may be able to play around with it as we go, but here are the winning books!
Everyone is welcome. You will only be tagged if you for each book if you reply to each announcement.

Everyone is welcome! I have a master list that I will use before we start each book, and will only tag you for each book if you reply to each announcement.. ⬇️
One of my BOTMs from my brilliant partner! 🥰 Even had a lovely little note written on the front page saying 'to be read with tea + muffins..' 😍 Unfortunately i didn't have breakfast muffins but a chocolate muffin with a tea will do 🥰❤️
What a lovely story. Through the trials of 2020, this book, along with the BBC TV adaption of it, simultaneously let my mind escape to another time and place and kept me grounded. I've never read anything like it- a sturdy but delicately carved social history of rural England in the final decades of the nineteenth century with a lacquer of fiction applied to it. ... (continued at https://www.librarything.com/work/14570/reviews/86975755).
My order from the #FolioSociety sale arrived today. Here is the cover, along with some of the lovely illustrations, from the tagged book. #foliofreaks #foliofridays I blame @DeborahSmall and @elkeo for at least two of these books. 😂 #blameitonlitsy
This one keeps calling to me lately ... Time for a reread, I think.
This one isn't in the database. A 100 page illustrated non-fiction book about the life in and around Lark Rise Country, recommended only for fans. It's not bad, but there are lots of pages of charts about current parish attendees and things like that, and I was hoping for a little more non-fiction about what the countryside was like during Flora's life. Still interesting, and a nice reference. Plus, real-life Zillah photos! 👍🏼
Lark Rise, take me away! Even with avoiding all tv and non-bookish internets, friends are still texting me. Ack, what is going on in this world?!?
