Caught up and current on the Heartstopper series. Such a sweet series filled with lots of great characters. In this volume Nick contemplates which University he wants to attend and Charlie learns that he doesn‘t need Nick to be brave, that he can be brave on his own.

I don‘t have a bad thing to say about the whole Heartstopper-verse. I do hate that there‘s only one more volume to come! 😭

Nick and Charlie‘s story continue as they navigate the next steps in their relationship. Nick also has to start to think about his uni application.

Finished this earlier in the week but I‘m still trying to get over the crud & having a busy work week. Anyway, this is such a delightful series, simple & heartfelt. I love Charlie & Nick & I‘m sorry that Vol. 6 will be the last. (Maybe the author will change her mind?) Even if graphic novels aren‘t your thing, this series is so readable & has so many positive LGBTQIA & mental health messages to offer.

Loved this one just like I loved all the others! I can‘t believe there‘s only one more after this 😩💔

I just love Nick & Charlie.

I hadn't realised this was out until I saw people blogging about it! Got it this week after a comfort-buying spree, and greedily devoured it last night. The boys are so sweet, and I'm glad as well to see their individual journeys.

As for the reason for the comfort-buying... I spent some time in the eye casualty this week, after Biscuit Bun accidentally clawed my open eye. My sight will be okay, but it isn't okay yet and reading can be difficult.

Always lovely and cozy stepping into this world. I missed the friend group in this volume and enjoyed the deepening of the boys‘ relationship.

Hot-off-the-presses graphic novel action in my library haul today!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This series is a gentle, but realistic coming of age. I maybe don‘t agree with some of the parenting decisions in volume 5, but that, again, is pretty realistic. Charlie and Nick are considering escalating their relationship. Additionally, Nick, who is older, visits possible universities for next year. Relatable to many. These characters are sweet and so likable, you instinctively cheer them on.

I can't believe Oseman is going to end this series in the next book. If it doesn't end with a picture of Nick and Charlie's joint tombstone showing they died in each other's arms 100 years in the future, I will riot. 😂

I‘m so glad that I spotted this on my library‘s Fast Reads (shorter loans of popular materials) shelf. It‘s as charming as the first four volumes about a gay couple in high school; romantic yet with enough realness to keep it from being too sweet. #LGBTQ #YA

I'm so glad there is one more volume after this, because I'm not quite ready to say goodbye to these characters.

So happy because I got to see a real life version of Charlie‘s bedroom from Heartstopper! I honestly think they did such a great job recreating his room!

I think it‘s adorable when Nick picks up Charlie and swings him around.

Back to the world of Nick and Charlie I still love these two. What a great edition to the series. We don't see as much of their friends in this but there's a great moment with his sister. A brilliant read and it's now being stolen by my daughter. 5*

So good as always. Wonderful to hang out with Nick & Charlie and the gang again. I can‘t believe there is only one more volume to come! 5⭐️

What a great first book of 2024! 💗💗💗💗💗 I love the Heartstopper universe and in my opinion it keeps getting better and better. Lots of ways that Nick and Charlie grow in this volume and the friends and family have important roles too. Oseman says that volume 6 will conclude the series (maybe that‘s common knowledge but it was news to me?) and it‘ll be sad to see it end!

The best way to ring in any year: with Heartstopper! I really loved the growth Nick and Charlie (and many other characters) experienced in this volume. There‘s so much coming into yourself and figuring out who you are as a person that happens as a teenager and it‘s delightful to see it happen for two of my favorites. I love these characters so, so much. ❤️

Love, love, love! While I'm sad, Heartstopper will reach its conclusion with Vol 6, words can not express the queer joy these graphic novels fill me with. Vol 4 was an emotional rollercoaster, so I really enjoyed the more light-hearted vibes of this instalment. The two balance each other beautifully. The boys love and support each other as wonderfully as ever, and honestly, I whooped audibly at Charlie's progress. Also, I loved Tori's coming out.

After the emotional heavy Volume 04, this one was a lot more lighthearted. To be honest, this might be the rare case where I prefer the adaptation, since we get to see more of the lovely side characters in the series than in the novels.

I devoured it this afternoon—these characters are such a delight, and I always find the emotional maturity depicted in these stories so refreshing. Supportive friends and family, and two boys in love, navigating a deepening relationship and honestly working through insecurities and uncertainties together. LOVE. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

I really love Nick and Charlie. They have real issues to tackle, and they are so kind. It is always a pleasure to spend time with them.
Vol. 5 has Nick looking into college and the boys considering sex.
I absolutely love Nick's mom and after the show cannot stop seeing her as Olivia Colman even with these sketches. She is just the most lovely and caring character.

Last push of the year.

Not a favorite of all 5, but really good explaining relationship anxiety. Charlie and Nick love each other, and don‘t know who they are without the other. I liked how they handled this; they both grew separately yet trust the other all the same. The positive relationship examples were amazing. Especially this communication growth.

A brief break from reading The Poppy War trilogy for the latest installment in this big, warm, soft hug of a series! Nick and Charlie contemplate the next step in their relationship, while Nick looks at unis and Charlie faces opportunities at school in several forms. Lovely, affirming, sweet, real, and cozy as always!

Back in #London from Sunday til Wednesday to get the full Christmas experience. Today, I went to my favourite book store, Gay‘s the Word at Russel Square, and they went all out for #Heartstopper 05.

"Heartstopper Volume Five" by Alice Oseman. 9,8/10 rating. I absolutely adored this book, it was so sweet and suprisingly educational. I learned a lot about about healthy relationships, and these two were so cute discovering themselves once more! It made me want a girlfriend really bad, but i'll have to deal with it.

A delight as always - with one more volume to come!

I‘m at my grandparents again today, waiting for my car to be ready, and my grandpa thought it was hilarious that I was reading a “picture book” - it really tickled him 🤣

That‘s plenty of time for me to think about rereading the first four 😉
