Finished. It was a cute story. I think i liked it better than the first one.

Fun, cozy second book in a series- takes on another love story in this small town. Perfect for chill reads with enjoyable characters and setting.

I enjoyed reading this one. It shares similarities with the first book, The Pumpkin Spice Cafe, as it focuses on a specific couple and their dating journey. The narrative revolves around the “will they or won‘t they” theme, but it also stands out for its heavier emphasis on romance and milder mystery compared to the first book.

Yesterday we drove to Toronto to go to the Swedish Fair (largest in North America, who knew?!) to pick up the food my husband ordered ( he‘s half Swedish) and watch the Lucia‘s parade and sing ❤️❤️ and then it was so nice out we sat on the chairs at Sugar Beach and I finished my book. Beach reading in November ✅✅ I liked this 2nd Dream Harbor story better than Pumkin Spice Café, feels spicier too. A book scavenger hunt is my jam

TGIF #fridayreadinghappyhour is officially launched 🍷I really wish there was a potato chip emoji 😢 Cheers to everyone surviving the week 😘 I don‘t know how we do it sometimes

I love how in small town cozies there's always the perfect coffee shop, bakery, book store, etc. I enjoy the fantasy. Reality is bank, post office, and a kwik stop.
On lots of fall themed reading lists. Actually takes place at the end of summer. Near the end there's jump to Thanksgiving for a chapter and then on to Epilogue the next summer.
"Summer made Hazel grumpy." Same Hazel, same. Sooo ready for cozy read by the fire weather. ???

This one was cute but more spice than storyline for me. Hazel was darling and I loved her wanting to have a fun summer before turning 30. And Noah was a sweetheart wrapped in a bad boy-ish package. I‘m enjoying the series and will dive into book 3 next.

Hazel is worried she is going to turn 30 without ever having done anything adventurous, so when clues start turning up in the romance section of her bookshop, she turns to Noah to help her with the clues and to have a fun summer. But is one summer of fun enough?
My favourite of these so far (read the first 3 now). I think because it was a bit less instalove than the others 🤣

Book 2 in the series. A spicy romance set back in Dream Harbor. Hazel works in a bookshop and stumbles across books containing secret messages. She begins to follow the clues and asks Noah, the local fisherman to help her. The hunt finds them enjoying the summer together but what will happen if they find the treasure?
Both MCs had depth and I found I was rooting for them both. A small town, cosy mystery.

I‘m hoping to read the series over the next few weeks.

So I just finished The Cinnamon Bun Bookstore and am going to start The Christmas Tree Farm so here are my thoughts. Pumpkin Spice Cafe gave the Gilmore Girls vibes that I love and I really liked that book. Cinnamon Bun Bookstore is my favorite of the series so far and gave me rom com but not hallmark vibes. I love HANSOF and the spice, while not the spiciest thing I read was so dramatically different than PSC that it threw me for a loop! 5/5 ⭐️‘s

Cute quote from my current read

Book two in the series.

Good. Nice romantic story. Nice to catch up with characters from the first book. Also I like how they set up the next story/book in the series.

Couldn‘t stop reading! Definitely continuing the series! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Another cute book in the series
Read for reading challenges
4/5

I‘m coming off a slooooooow reading week thanks to one good book where the author‘s syntax didn‘t quite jive with my brain and another where I was too distracted to give it my full attention, so I‘m mighty glad to be flying through THE CINNAMON BUN BOOKSTORE! I‘m pretty sure the entire plot will flee my mind within a few days, but that‘s fine. I need books to be enjoyable in the moment, not memorable for ever and ever.

4✨This series is proving to be a new favorite. Hazel, a bookstore manager, is finding passages highlighted in the bookstore books. These clues are helping her live a little bit before she turns 30. Noah is a fisherman that lives a lot and is up for an adventure when Hazel asks. Unlikely love, dreamy town, and a few conversations with our previous couple. 🥰 it‘s pretty spicy which was a bit too much for me. Otherwise, I loved it!

I devoured this book - it's rare for me to finish anything in less than a week. But I related to Hazel a lot. I knew there'd be a happy ending, but i desperately needed to read it. It wasn't even high stakes but I just needed to know. #04-2025

I put this series on hold in November and of course they are dropping in 3-2-1 sequence 😜 I liked the storyline with the HEA romance between Hazel and Noah as they uncover the mystery of marred books her shop but thought Noah‘s personal issues could have been more credible if he was written older than 25. My issue was I became bored of the lengthy focus on spice (and constant gushy inarticulated feelings) and wanted to get back to story.

I‘m not sure why but I gravitate to these when I‘m going through a stressful or difficult time. This one was my favorite of the three. I really loved how the couple related to each other and brought each other exactly the support they needed. 💕✨

3rd book read November 2024
Second book in the Dream Harbor series
I liked more than the first book but not as much as the third one which I already reviewed. The third one was my favorite one so far. But this story was charming. Hazel was finding secret messages hidden in some books. At the begging she was upset because books were “used” hast not been paid but then she intrigued…messages seem to be related with herself, things she wanted to⬇️

I mistook this for a cozy mystery, not a romance, when I picked it off my TBR. (That's on me and the marketing department, not the author).
It's possible I didn't enjoy this as much because I was expecting / wanting something else, but I just didn't care about the characters.

Cozy smut book number 2! I love these! This one was definitely way spicier than the first one. So good though! This one was about Hazel and Noah and i love how its all the same characters in each book but just focuses on one couples story. Now i can start The Christmas Tree Farm!

[first initial], I returned to my small town for the holidays, [favorite color], and fell in love with [birth month].
Broke after a divorce, I returned to my small town for the holidays, won the holiday bake off, and I fell in love with a rugged mountaineer.

Friday was a hard day teaching. I had two seniors pick up their bags and just leave. Very disrespectful and a little hurt because I care too much, but still have to muscle through one more week. A little retail therapy did help. I just need some words of encouragement, prayers, and good vibes my way if you have a chance. 💛

Thank you so much, @Marmie7 for this delightful package! Where in the world did you find the popcorn?!🍿 My little swooped in for the ornament right away lol. It's supposed to get super cold later this week, so I plan to hibernate with this new book, the hot cocoa ☕️ and sweets🍫! Thank you again! ❤️💚

Possibly an odd take — I liked this better than the first book. I really felt like we got to know the characters better, and that they had more depth than in the first book. The book-led scavenger hunt is a cute premise, and was an interesting way to get the two mains interacting. Another cute read for the holidays!

3.5⭐️ Thought that it was ok; not as good as the first one in the series. I thought that the author could have been more restrained in how many sex scenes were played out and there could have been more of an actual story, like in the first book. #2024 #fiction #romance #contemporaryfiction

Dream Harbor is my happy place and I love and adored the cinnamon bun bookstore. This book had so much heart and plenty of spice!! Can‘t wait to read the next one in the series!!

2 months before Hazel turns 30. She thinks her life is too dull & decides to do all the crazy things you do in your 20s over the next 2 months. When Hazel discovers a clue hidden in a book in the bookstore she works, Noah is there, happy to help. This turns into a scavenger hunt and them spending some time together
I‘ve never read a romance with this much focus on consent and communication during steamy scenes. This is more steamy than the 1st

These books are my happy place!
Im starting this one today and im realizing that after working all day and then being in bed hours before i should be, these books are the perfect read!
I need to start reading more of the cozy mysteries i have!

Felt very generic, unoriginal, but was quite entertaining.

These just honestly feel like book hugs. Copious sexy time in this one compared to book one.

Another cute and steamy installment in the series! I‘ll definitely be reading the 3rd book next month.
#bookspinbingo - got a bingo with this one!

Book 2 had a bit more 🌶️🌶️ than the first. Still a fun, light read and exactly what I needed last week.

Such a fun, cozy read. A scavenger hunt with the clues inside books and plenty of baked goods. Count me in.
I think I liked book two more than the first. I will definitely be adding the third book to my December #BookSpinBingo list.

I read this is hardly no time at all. Loved it!

Sweet, charming, golden retriever younger guy who it takes a while for recognition to dawn. Always love a book with a bookseller character, especially one as delightful as Hazel. Nice escape leading into fall 😍 #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks

What a heartwarming follow-up in The Pumpkin Spice Series. I have to say I enjoyed this one more than the first🧡

This is the second book in the series. It was a little more steamy than the first one. Very cute book! Fast read.
