#HaikuADay #HaikuHive

My friend & I have this thing where when it‘s been a tough day/week/whatever, I tell her I‘m laying on the couch “contemplating my life choices.” That‘s today‘s haiku inspiration because today‘s chaos felt like a Monday. 😳😵‍💫 TGIF! (almost!)

Sometimes I stop and
Contemplate my life choices,
Chaos pays the bills

Sparklemn I‘m going to steal this saying! 😂 3mo

If you are interested in this one, you‘re probably already familiar with the author‘s comedy. This is more of the same, and I mean that in the best way possible. It‘s an absolute necessity to listen to it on audio though. The author reads it and I feel like his southern drawl and comedic timing are essential for full enjoyment. It gave me some much-needed belly laughs.

Anybody else read children‘s books when needing a pallet cleanser. I picked up a couple children‘s books last year as a way to catch up on my reading goal, but I realize that it help with my reading slumps as well. It‘s also been a challenge as I look specifically for books with a Gothic theme and some of the ones I found have been so fun. Boris and Bella was definitely my favorite out of the three, but they were all good.

PatriciaU If you like spooky, try Lora Senf‘s The Clackity and others. So good! Also, Katherine Ardens Small Spaces books are great! 8mo
MariaW I went through the whole Bunnicula series in a rather stressful period last year. 8mo

I wasn't sure this one could be cuter than the first book but I was proven wrong!

I loved that it had a similar theme to the first book, in regards to discovery of self worth and friendship. A great read and the images are just as beautiful, detailed, and rich in color. Easy to read and follow along for young readers, or any age readers since I'm definitely older than the demographic for this one 😂

Hey friends!! So I've been looking at my life and my upcoming schedule, and I am going to pause #RandomClassics definitely for January, and maybe longer, kind of depending. We're thinking about moving (!!!!!) plus we are going out of town in January, so there is a lot going on 😂 I still have a huge list of classics I would like to read, and I have really enjoyed reading these with you all, but for now I need to skip a month!! I'll let everyone ⬇

TheAromaofBooks @Cuilin - There is no telling when I will be back on track 😂 Especially if we actually move out of this house we've lived in for 10 years. Sooooo many barnacles to sort through and pack! 😆 So please don't wait for me - I may still read along in January, I just know that hosting is beyond my commitment parameters right now haha 12mo
