This is book four in the series and my favorite so far. I laughed so hard. The text dialog between the guys was the best. Clueless doesn't even begin to describe it. It also was the most emotional of the books so far. The ending just crushed me. So Good! All the feels and then some. 5 ⭐

I found this disappointing after the first book. A lot of time spent in very unpleasant POVs, a lot of nasty fat-shaming, and -- as with the first -- Gamache seems far too willing to let his suspects be involved in the case. (Has he never heard of the concept of tampering with evidence?) Still, I like the characters enough, and am curious enough about the dangling threads, to read on.

For PR damage control, Prince Coal of Christmas finds himself engaged to his best friend, a Princess of Easter. A wrench in the works appears in the visiting Halloween Prince who is distractingly hot.

Was this cheesy & campy? Yes. But it was also very sweet. I did feel like it tried to do too much in such a short time w/ the romance & holiday Game of Thrones level politics, but the characters were all
engaging. Even a misguided Santa.🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑

Kinda predictable, but very cute, and lots of holiday festiveness!

Dorothy is swept by a tornado from her home to the magical land of Oz. What follows is a series of adventures where she makes friends & learns the way home.

It was very sweet to revisit this. I had forgotten just how serial this story is, w/ all the little adventures. & sometimes, I want the simplistic fairy tale of good vs bad. & I loved how every chapter we see the Scarecrow be smart, the Tin Man be kind, & the Lion be courageous.🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑

I loved it almost as much as the first. I say “almost” because this one had more life drama, but the joy, love, and red moleskin adventure between Dash & Lily still shined. And bonus, there‘s a bull mastiff named Boris.

The suggested reading for this is as an adventure book - read a chapter a day until Christmas. I'm glad I didn't do that and read it all in one go, I wouldn't have finished the book otherwise.

This didn't work for me. I didn't enjoy the writing, and the plot was predictable.

This is a really strong paranormal slow burn romance. The world building was really good, the relationship felt authentic, and the plot was interesting.

I'm just not interested in that. This is one of the best ones I've read though.
