Welcome to the #LosersClub open discussion for #IT!

Please be mindful of spoilers. We have new readers to King who haven‘t read all of his books. When referencing his other work, please keep this in mind for our new-to-King friends. Don‘t forget to tag each other in the comments so your friends can see your reply. Have fun!

BookwormAHN I'm not sure why but I love this book. @DGRachel thanks for hosting, especially since I know some of these books, like this one, aren't really your cup of tea 🖤 5y
Karkar This is one of my favorite SK books. I read this earlier this year. I had forgotten or blocked some of the things that happened. 5y
DGRachel @BookwormAHN You‘re welcome! I‘m happy to facilitate and ghost host. Some of King‘s works are pleasant surprises (I ❤️ Duma Key), but yeah... I hate clowns. So. Much. 😆😆 I‘m awestruck by how much this book has infiltrated our collective consciousness, though. I give storm drains a wide berth when out walking the dogs now. 5y
BookwormAHN @DGRachel I also don't trust stray red balloons. 5y
DGRachel @BookwormAHN 😆😆🎈 5y
thereadingowlvina I love this book waayyyyy more than the movies! There are so much depth in the characters. I enjoyed all the stories in interludes 😊🎈 5y
SconsinBookyBadger No matter how many times I‘ve read IT, the Hockstetter chapter remains the most disturbing. I tend to increase the speed 2x or more if I‘m audiobooking or skip entirely if I‘m reading print book. 5y
Eggbeater This is my favorite King book. I think it is brilliantly terrifying and I am very attached to the characters. 5y
Traci1 I listened to the audio version of this one, and it was fabulous. Stephen Weber is a terrific narrator, and I think I enjoyed it more than I would have if i read it myself. It has become one of my top King books, right up there with The Stand. I haven't seen the second movie, but I definitely liked it more than the first. 5y
JulAnna @BookwormAHN @Karkar @thereadingowlvina @Eggbeater @Traci1 This is also one of my favorite SK books. I have read it more times than I can remember, and sometimes wonder how Ben and the rest are doing now, haha. To me this is one of the best examples of SK‘s ability to write realistic, fully developed characters. I haven‘t watched the movies because I want the characters to live in my own mind‘s eye, though. 5y
thereadingowlvina @JulAnna I agree! I miss them 😥 5y

Setting this incredible book aside for a minute and going back to Stephen King's IT. At least in IT I am fully aware of who the monsters are and not caught unaware. #breakingmyheart #sayitaintso

MLRio I adore this book. 7y
Centique It's so tough this part. My heart broke too. 7y

SoniaC @MLRio It's truly a wonderful book so far. 7y
SoniaC @Centique made me so sad and angry. But I am truly impressed with the book. 7y
Centique @soniac it's my favourite book of all time I think! But probably because I studied it at high school and again at uni. Was the right book at the right time for me. I hope you keep enjoying it 💕 7y
SoniaC I can see why it would be a favorite. It's extremely unique and well done. 7y
