This is 3.5 story in the series!
It‘s a fun “jumper” story to give more closure for the previous couple and to open the story up for the next book!
I‘m so glad I came across this readalong with @BarbaraJean !
I already read The Wreath, so I‘ll pick up with July‘s book of The Wife!
Listening to this #Audiobook for #JaneAdjacent readalong with @Crinoline_Laphroaig this month! And it worked out that it will also be for Victorian Book Club discussion early next month!
I‘m all caught up through chapter 14. #ReadAChapterADay
#SummerCardSwap 2025

I‘m not sure who the host is, but thank you for coordinating!
Happy Mother‘s Day!
My daughter knows me well and got me this Pride and Prejudice card game! 🥰
I stopped in at the Hallmark, Little Green Apple, today and I stumbled upon TWO ROWS OF BOOKS!!!
I never knew they stocked books! They‘re not even books made into their movies. They‘re commercial fiction and popular titles out now!
Has anyone else seen this at their Hallmark?
There‘s still time to download FREE #audiobooks!!!
May 9 and 10, 2025

I got the tagged book and another companion story to a different series for free. Yes, they‘re audio and not ebooks!
I‘m reading this from my April #ReadYourKindle challenge.
It‘s a shorter story, but still sweet and well developed. A sea pirate is trying to retire on land. While she a Scottish lass is trying to do her duty by her family all the while wanting so much more from life.
I finished just in time to discuss at Victorian Book Club!
This was an aggravating book, as Sue was very contrary in her ideals and Jude went along with her whims. The narrative circled and I felt like we were getting nowhere. There is a shocker that I didn‘t see coming.
#ReadYourKindle
I wasn‘t able to read April‘s pick, so I‘m going to be a little ambitious and see if I can‘t read two ebooks, plus my other book club picks, in May.
#Two4Tuesday
1. Yes, about 500. Over 200 of them are my #PnPCovers collection! ☺️
2. A super engaging story. I can‘t wait to read the rest of the series!
Anyone can play!
#Two4Tuesday
1. Yes, I do. Probably one of a few who do.
2. Yes, money affects this character enough to make a change in their behavior.
Finished this #audiobook and I‘m intrigued enough to continue the series! The ending had a lot of action and unexpected twists and turns. In a sense this was a slow book, not a lot of action, it was more an “in your head” type of story with lots of questioning and thought process by the main character. I‘m rooting for Scarlet and Julian! ☺️
The last chapter, again, in Xaden‘s POV - no spoilers!
Another engaging tale! Some unexpected things happened that will be interesting to see how they play out in the series books to come. I‘m still shipping Xaden and Violet!
Though I‘m probably going to have to wait awhile before the Graphic Audio comes out for Onyx Storm. I will not listen to the normal audiobook; I need Gabriel Michael as Xaden‘s voice! 😉
Started the tagged book for Victorian Book Club.
Anytime a ship or pirates is mentioned, it catches my attention.
His imagination ran away with him. Though I do have to admit a daily mutiny would be terrifying!
Mostly new cast for the librarians, but still the same Library! They‘ll have to save the world from bad people who want to steal the magic!
I‘m so looking forward to the new season!
I very much appreciated the world building of both land and sea kingdoms. Of course, I like the sea fae and pirates 🏴☠️ better! Their voices each hold a song that can either aid or harm someone. The ship was totally giving me Flying Dutchman vibes from POTC, because it could “sail” beneath water! And I admire that Erik, the Ever King, once he earned Livia‘s love and he gave love he didn‘t do a 180, he kept most of his ruthless pirate badassness!

My local library #SHPL in Southeast, MI ✋🏻 is celebrating Jane‘s birthday in June! I plan on attending 🥰
Checked the book out from the library, so I could follow along as I listened to the Graphic Audio immersive audiobook! I‘ll be starting part two, so a little over halfway done!
I came across an article about reading the most popular book from the year one was born. I looked up my year and it‘s the tagged book. I have not read it.
Here‘s my April 2025 #ReadYourKindle book selections.
Goal to read one book from the four selected numbers.
#Libby has a #TogetherWeRead where there are NO HOLDS and UNLIMITED QTY on the designated book!
I spotted this last week Tuesday, 3/25/25.
From the latest book club pick, one of the lines was “She found a pirate 🏴☠️ romance from the ‘80s that‘s definitely seen better days,…”
I love finding little pirate references!
Did you know your library card grants you access to more than just your local library‘s digital material?!
Follow the steps.
Book Club selection for March 2025
So far it‘s pretty funny and cute!
My Dad and daughter reading a book this afternoon 🥰

At my library #SHPL they have this tribute to Jane Austen for her 250th birthday!
It has book adaptations, movie/TV versions, virtual tours to take of places she‘s lived/been, and about her.
And I belief in June they‘ll be doing some special programs.
I started this #audiobook for a local author who‘s part of GDRW. It‘s a fun book so far!
Saw this on Facebook to make mini books. The crafters precut foam tape is at DollarTree, according to the post.
I‘ve been wanting to make mini books and then place them in a clear tree ornament.
Happy 20th Birthday, MelCat!
Seems like we‘ve have the whole states interlibrary loan system for far longer! 📚
I signed up for another “letter” service - the Fae Letters. This one is weekly and told in second person, with me being a heroine! What sold me to purchase the year subscription is there‘s a QR code of the male Cad reading his diary letters to the listener; I‘m all about the audio experience these days.

Went to the Books and Brews event over the weekend and purchased this book! It may be a little too risqué for me, there were a lot of trigger warnings at the beginning. But, I also feel the need to read it and see for myself.
I attended Books and Brews at Blake‘s Backyard today. 📚🍺
I purchased a #BlindDateWithABook; here‘s what I got! Seems super cute! 🏒 🤰 And the edges are pretty! 😍

I spotted my current ebook as a paperback! I didn‘t purchase, but I did touch and see how the text was laid out in book form.
Listening to my friend and author‘s #audiobook!
I initially was a beta reader for her book around seven years ago when she was working on the story. I remember the major scenes, but many of the smaller details got lost. It‘s a nice reread!
Started this book for #ReadYourKindle challenge! I‘m very intrigued to see how the events unfold. And waiting for some pirate action!
Had Victorian Book Club at the Upton House museum. The coordinator makes up such fun alliteration titles for our snacks! And very thoughtful questions to aid discussion.
I‘m not a fan of the book. Emma got on my nerves and made bad choices. I also learned not to solely use credit for purchases, so I won‘t go into debt.
This book was okay, easy read, everything gets resolved, HEA. Some of the dialogue was hokey, it was trying to hard to be funny. The author tried to channel Wesley from The Princess Bride. I could have used a little more world building, especially with the pirate bard being part fae, it was more a fact than part of his character. I appreciated the memory loss being curse bound and fixable. Little dragon action, would have liked to know more.
I saw these romantasy book club Build A Bear shirts and have to get one for my BAB horse! 🐴📚🍷

Went to the Plymouth Historical Museum and they had this crate filled with books in their store. I got a cozy mystery to give to my mom. And they were priced to move - only $1.
So far I‘m doing great with this challenge! 😂
I stopped in at the temporary Fraser Public Library 📚 over the weekend. Yes, it‘s in a storefront! Amazingly all sections were present, even an encyclopedia set!
@CKBrooke outdid herself with our book discussion. She was totally on the TANGLED theme for the tagged book!
I‘m The Pirate 🏴☠️

Definitely my life goal! 📚🥰
I listened to the Graphic Audio #audiobook and was thrilled with my selection!
Some things were predictable, while a couple items surprised me. I “rode and did not die,” so I‘m in on the hype!
Though, I was disappointed in the big battle scene - Violet was practically useless - her ability didn‘t grow with the task set before her. She definitely frustrated me there.
It‘s a cold one in southeastern Michigan!
This is the perfect scenario to keep warm! 📚
