I love Ellen & this is just what I needed today. Definately recommend the audiobook! During many parts, my mind‘s 👁 could quite clearly see Dory🐟🤣🤷🏻‍♀️

I used to be an avid watcher of The Ellen show, I loved her humour and the way she engaged with her guests and the audience. I expected to love this book also and to find myself laughing at almost every chapter. Sadly this wasn't the case, there were a few laugh out loud moments but overall I found it to be rambly and unengaging, a bit of a disappointment. #seriouslyimkidding #tea_sipping_bookworm #bookstagram #bookqueen #amazon#kindle #litsy ⭐

Although in my library's autobiography/memoir section, this book is neither. While Ellen does touch on her personal life, this book really is more a book of essays. I felt a good deal of this book was a rambling mess. At times, I felt she was trying to be philosophical or deep but mixed with humor. But it's not stand-up humor funny. And I didn‘t think the mix worked. 2 stars. Full review on GR.

Hilarious. Would highly recommend if you love Ellen or just love to laugh.

Really enjoyed the first third of the book, and then it just totally fell flat. By the end felt like a chore. Maybe it's just not for me.

This audiobook is super short; I started and finished it today as I set up my classroom. I love Ellen DeGeneres, but this book was disappointing. It's a bunch of random thoughts, not all funny. I was hoping for more, but at least Ellen does the voice acting.

Thought it would be a little wittier then it turned out to be. I think Ellen is better on screen and somehow her humor and infectious personality didn‘t translate on page.

Oh Ellen! What a fun person to listen to! Having listened to a fair amount of celebrity books, I‘ve come to realize that most of it is just babble but at least with this book it‘s fun babble. I will have to say that the entire time I couldn‘t help but imagine Dori was reading to me instead. 😋🐠

I just love Ellen so much. This is a funny quick read/listen to. Quirky, sarcastic, makes you laugh out loud. It's not a tell all memoir or anything like that, simply some interesting thoughts and ideas.

Definitely exactly what I needed for a light, funny, uplifting read. I would recommend for sure. 😊

This was the first Ellen memoir I have read. It was fine, but I'm guessing it's probably not her best. All the same, Ellen rocks!

That's right Ellen.... your book was a solid "shrug". No deep thoughts here whatsoever, frankly it feels like a lot of filler, but I definitely laughed and loved her quote on being "over the hill". Would I recommend it? Sure, actually it's a perfect easy mindless laugh to read during a readathon. But there are better celeb comedy books out there.

Seriously...I love Ellen. But this book was too much.

I like to use celebrity memoir audiobooks, despite knowing almost nothing about celebrities, TV, or movies, as #migraineandaudiobook reads. They're light, low pressure, and sometimes funny: perfect for whiling away the migraine hours.

My most recent two listens also happen to be by openly gay celebrities, about whom I know even less than usual, because of my parents/hometown. They're mildly funny, and NPH is adorable talking about his family!

Did not like. I like Ellen, I think her inherent sweetness is just beautiful. But I did not like this book. She's got such an interesting life, you'd think she could tell a few stories. But no, this was just rambling that was trying too hard to be funny. Apart from a few chuckles, this missed the mark for me. #Kindle

Hey where in the world have I been right!!! Well I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. Since chemo reading has been hard. I have managed a few audio books! But I'm back!!!

I love listening to books that are read by the author and this one did not disappointment. Ellen's dry humor made me giggle on multiple occasions. I would recommend it to anyone that needs a laugh. Even my 7-year old son laughed at some of the parts.

A funny & short listen that just tells it like it is. Love Ellen! This was a perfect listen for #readathon !

Some parts were just okay. Some gave me a good laugh it was crazy. Some I feel like 😝😒. But overall I still like it though.

I LOVE Ellen Degeneres! Love her. However, not a huge fan of the book. Why did she even try writing this? It felt very forced and like she was just trying soooo so so hard to fill up the pages with words. And sounds. And random thoughts. I feel bad for anyone who bought the book. I greatly recommend this to anyone who can get it free on audio!! Quick, light, and happy listen. (Ellen is never hard to listen to except when she is just making noises)

Guys, I LOVE Ellen. I think she is amazing. I do not think her comedy translates well to an audiobook though. Her delivery is super flat, it didn't connect with me at all - and sounded like she was reading the dictionary to me. Which I don't get at all?!? Maybe I've just been spoiled by amazing audiobook narrators, or maybe I need to see her in person when she delivers her comedy. Either way - I got 1/2 way through this one before bailing.

This was a great book to listen to on an absolutely crazy Wednesday morning! Ellen cracks me up!

Ya'll.. This is HILARIOUS. I really do enjoy anything by Ellen Degeneres though. I've never actually watched her show (not a fan of day-time talk tv of any kind) but everything else she does is great. She seems like a genuinely positive person with a great sense of humor and it shows so much in this book!
