As a rule I like Kristen Ashley‘s books but this one was definitely not one of her better stories. Too much of the heroine taking about herself in the 3rd person (eye roll). No real character development that made me like either of the main characters—skimmed/skipped many pages because I was simply bored with the story. A good portion of the story could have been edited out to make it better. It has a hard call between bad & so-so.

Work research includes reading some interesting books for upcoming paranormal stories for my site. So far so good—learning all kinds of fun historical facts #lovemyjob

I‘m loving my mornings on the deck (yes, the deck is still under construction—longest project ever) with a coffee and a good book. Summer doesn‘t last long in northern Michigan so trying to squeeze every drop of goodness out of it. Sadly, I have to hit the desk soon. My boss is pretty strict about putting in time (note—self employed🤣)
Really enjoying this book about UFOs that showcases ALL sides to the story.

Quick and fun read, only drug in a few spots and those are easy enough to skip over :) perfect break from deeper books I‘m working through.

I really tried to love this book. The author is one of my favorites, but I just couldn't finish it. While I think the story has the foundation to be a great book that is not what I experienced. The story felt disjointed and cliched. Perhaps my expectations were simply too high because of the Blackdagger Brotherhood series. There are many 4-5 star reviews so others are fully enjoying it. Sadly, I am not one of them.

You sent the most incredible box for the #sockswap and I completely forgot to open it 😲 I was cleaning the office today and realized I really did put the box “out of sight” I opened it today (between my job and my Moms illness I haven‘t been home much) and I ❤️❤️❤️❤️ everything!!!! Your generosity is so appreciated. I feel like I won the lottery with TWO books! 🙏

So I‘m about 45% done with this book and I‘m less than impressed and struggling to finish. The story line feels forced and lack luster. It took almost to this point to figure out the direction and how the three main characters will tie together (the book switches between the 3 of them which becomes a bit disjointed & jumbled feeling.) Going to set it aside and try again later.

Life has been crazy and I haven‘t had time to read but I‘m finally back at it. Thanks to NetGalley I have an ARC of Consumed by J R Ward. Looking forward to this new series.

Cute story about a crazy life. Relatable, fun characters with one magical old lady that reminds us “Whatever Happens, Love That.”
