A reread for me- read 4 yrs ago, but so far the stories are like new. Does not speak well for my powers of cognition & memory. Only read the first two stories, so maybe I will remember some more. #bibliomysteries

Another year gone and another stack of books to read! 😁 This is my #bookflood haul from my sister @LitDrivenGirl and once again she went above and beyond! We're very competitive with our gift giving. 😂 She got me so many that I've been wanting forever but I love when she gets me books I've never heard of! Happy reading and New Year!

Coals are fired up for barbecue. In the 90s today so a before dinner ice cold gin and tonic with cashews hits the spot. There is a slight breeze, so the porch is surprisingly comfortable as long as no one moves!!!

Walked 2 miles with my neighbor very early this morning to try & beat the heat- in 90s today. Watered plants. Now reading a bit while it is comfortable on my porch. We have lots of shade & the sun hits it late in the day as the porch faces northwest. The tagged book is a great collection of mystery short stories. I have been reading it throughout the year.
🍉🍔🥗🇺🇸🎉🎇💥Happy 4th everyone!
Bookish mystery short stories. 📚❤️
I don‘t really care #WhoLivesWhoDies ... just, for the love of all that‘s holy, SAVE THE BOOKS. 😉
#MusicalNewYear
I just finished reading,The Scroll, a short story from this book. I was very entertained. It is the first Anne Perry I have ever read so I do not know if it‘s her ordinary theme and writing style or if it was written for the theme of this anthology . But, I did enjoy it. It felt like there was a touch of Dan Brown and Steve Berry in it also.
Short story collections are hard to review. This had some excellent stories and a couple of snoozers. The stories were all mysteries centered around books.
This was Book 11 for #13books13weeks.

Went to Hammonasset State Park for a beach day. 🏊🏻♂️🏖🦐🍉🥤☕️ Then stopped at a Clam Shack in Madison for lobster rolls, & ended our day at RJJulia‘s Booksellers. I am proud; only bought the tagged book! Have to support Indie bookstores, right? ❤️📚
I did it!!! 2 books finished and decent progress on 2 others! It was a blast reading along with all you fabulous Littens out there!
G‘night!🛌

So after working this morning and driving around the southern half of WI and finishing my audiobook (Wagon‘s West Texas!), I am settled back in my comfy chair at home with a beer to finish Mr. Flood‘s Last Resort. I only have 7 pages left. Then I‘m going to read a short story from Bibliomysteries! I am at about 21 hours, so I might make it. Hope everyone‘s Readathon is going smoothly and you are reading some great books! #24in48
It's a distinct honor & privilege to have been asked by an absolutely incredible Litten & dear friend I've made through Litsy, @PatriciaU , to appear on her terrific blog, which I read regularly (and other Littens' blogs too!) ☺️🤗. My jaw always drops a bit when someone reaches out and asks for this average Joe's thoughts. Thank you very much *biig hug*! ☺️

#TBRtemptation post 4! Released this past Summer. God, I love The Mysterious Bookshop! They've commissioned the mystery genre's most distinguished names to write mysteries about books: a bookshop, library, rare volume, collector, bookseller, etc. The stories have been published in different languages, received awards, and sold many copies in their own right. Spillane, Deaver, Box, Demille, and many more! #blameLitsy #blameMrBook 😎
My day just got better, taking this one home!
Flipped through a bit of this and hoping to really dig in throughout the rest of October. It's a perfect subject matter for me right now!!! 🤓

This is the table of contents in the tagged book, which is a collection of mystery stories. Why are there only two stories from female authors? There are so many female mystery authors and they could only fit two in this book? 😡
I don't think my bitmoji looks like me. None of the hairstyle, hair color and clothing options quite fit me.
Today was an all day staff training and these are always incredibly draining for me - not my normal routine, have to talk about difficult topics, have to do group activities and share, and worst of all: I haven't gotten any reading in today 😥. I feel completely wiped out but I'm going to try to read some of the stories in the tagged book.
"Stories of crime in the world of books and bookstores". Yes, please!

SO STOKED FOR THIS #LIBRARYHAUL
A nice mix of chunksters and quick reads and 2 highly acclaimed!! (Stay With Me & Solar Bones- a Man Booker long list pick)
One can never have too many books 😉
OTTO in the wild. This is a very rare occurrence where I live; my first sighting.
I probably didn't need another book. Like many of you, I have a ton I have not read. However, when Otto Peltzer is there to inscribe it for you in person…well, I am weak.
I'm gonna' be honest, I'm mostly watching The Great British Baking Show and not reading when I have a moment to sit down (because of all the moving), but I did read a bit of this today. Good so far!
This isn't actually a pic of this book, ha. But I also read this one on my airplane tray table with my sparkling water at hand. 🙂 Several awesome stories, a few underwhelming, but a nice diversity of stories to keep my attention on a late evening flight!
Well since I love mysteries & I work in a bookstore, this one is gonna have to happen!! #myjunebookmail
A #netgalley review copy. This was a lot more enjoyable than I expected. A perfect book to dip into for light reading. I thought I'd only like one or two stories and the rest would be filler, as anthologies often are, but almost all of the stories were fun and interesting, if not exactly mysterious. Standouts were John Connolly (so good!) and Laura Lippman, both of whom I've not read before. The Anne Perry story was the only one I disliked.
