Had to say goodbye to my reading buddy today. Devastated at losing him. We knew it was coming but hoped for more time. He let us know though that he was ready to go. Bye little man.

Father-in-law went into hospice care today. This is the book shelf at the facility. Such a tough time 😢
Littens, my heart is so sad right now. This weekend my father-in-Law passed away. My husband is 28. I‘m worried about him. I also don‘t know how to best explain this to my 2.5 year old. Does anyone have recommendations for books on this? For my husband to find comfort in, for me to know how to best support him, for talking to my son about it?
We turn to what we know when we don‘t know what to do I think, so I‘m turning to you all and books
I‘ve been a bit quiet the last few days. We lost my grandpa on Sunday and I just got back into town from the funeral. Even though I probably need the distraction, I‘m finding it so hard to read right now. Instead, I‘m distracted by all the memories in these 80s photos (did everyone own this ugly brown bird and flower couch?). My grandpa was an ornery jokester and I‘m going to miss him a lot. 💙
I know it's not book related but today has me feeling sentimental. My dad was a major asshole, but he still shouldn't have died so young. We've been alone 5 years. My mom has gotten really sick since then and my little brother has autism, so I've basically become the caretaker. I had to finish high school at home, so I missed my prom and graduation because he chose drugs. That's my PSA for today I guess. RIP Dad, you major ass.
