I'm probably the only person that hasn't read this or watched the movie so my sister made me watch this past weekend. It was THE best love story but it wrecked me 😭
Now I'm needing Nicholas Sparks Book recommendations 😂

❤️❤️❤️
This is the first Nicholas Sparks book I ever read. I haven't read it on a long time. I enjoyed this book. I rated this book a 4 out of 5 stars.
Thank you for the tag @dabbe ! This is hard because there is so many great couples. I am a hate to love fan and 1.) Allie and Noah technically fit that category in the tagged book 2.)The fake dating is also something I really like so Lara Jean and Peter have my vote there in “To all the boys I‘ve loved before”. 3.) Then the series that got me back into reading: Edward and Bella from Twilight! Clique maybe, but I love their connection. 🥰🥰#TLT
I didn‘t like this book at first because it started off kinda simple. I think I had high expectations for Nicholas sparks to be this amazing magical complex writer because he‘s so popular. But I think his talent really lies in how he can use such simple sentences and thoughts and make them reflect such beautiful sentiments. Obviously a very sad book, but also gorgeous
I don‘t think I‘ve ever read the book…maybe?!?…but I do remember watching the movie way back in the day. Last night, we saw the musical during it‘s pre-Broadway run in Chicago. It was fantastic—laughter, tears, ALL the emotions. If you‘re a fan of the book or movie, or even if you‘re not, it‘s a great production and definitely worth seeing. My husband and I both loved it.
Is the Notebook musical better than the book?

Got discount tickets to the musical Sunday so decided I should read the book and it is…not good so far
I put off reading this book for the longest time simply because I adored the movie. More often the book is so much better, but I didn't want anything to ruin the movie experience for me. This adaptation was pretty close, and the changes that were made, made the movie all the better.

I am so excited to get to meet my absolute favorite author. As an adult he is the one responsible for my love of reading.
💛💛💛 I read this in one sitting so it‘s good if you want a quick read. Certainly very romantic to the point of being a bit cringey at times but 100% expected that. I struggled to fully invest in Noah and Allies relationship in the book whereas in the film I feel like this works much better. One of the few occasions where I prefer a film to the book!
4✨ It has been a really busy year. This short book was read in a small group and we set goals we can work with to read Sparks books. Even though this is a short book it took about 6 months to enjoy. I like the depth I didn‘t know I needed since I watched before I read. I was not disappointed.
It‘s Valentine‘s so I can be cheesy!! My favorite book by NS! I may watch it today 💗💗 I remember watching this at the theater and men were even sniffling with tears in their eyes!! I was a blubbering mess!!
“I love you. I am who I am because of you. You are every reason, every hope, and every dream I've ever had, and no matter what happens to us in the future, everyday we are together is the greatest day of my life. I will always be yours.”
“The best love is the kind that awakens the soul and makes us reach for more, that plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds, and that‘s what you‘ve given me.”
Noah was an “admirable” character writing to Allie everyday for 365 days ❤️ and never giving up on her

Noah and Allie take a trip down memory lane back to the summer of 1940, where they first fell in love. Mill worker Noah Calhoun and rich girl Allie are driven apart by Allies disapproving parents. Years later revisiting the small town of New Bern, on verge of Allies marriage, she reunites with her never forgotten lover Noah.
If you like books that are heart wrenching and full of romance, then this is the book for you!

This book never gets old

I'm excited for this month cause I'll be doing Wheel of TBR with my online book club on Facebook but creating a online Wheel (pickerwheel.com or wheelofnames.com) or a real one by putting Bookish prompts on it and whatever prompt you land on you have to read a book that fits it.
Anyone wanna guess what book I'll be reading first?!

But he had been in love once, that he knew. Once and only once, and a long time ago. And it had changed him forever. Perfect love did that to a person, and this had been perfect.

I was already familiar with this story because of the movie. This may have either helped or hurt my reading. Had I not known the story, I may have been more invested & emotionally involved in it, thus enjoying it more in the end or I may have given up on it altogether before finishing. It's hard to say. The writing is decent & the story is good, it was just a bit too sappy & wasn't in the wheelhouse for my current reading tastes.
1) I have to be in the mood for it
2) Stay in!
3) gift certificate for a massage?!?!
4) Noah and Allie 💕

Ever look through your shelf for a certain book, and another one practically jumps into your hand as if it‘s been waiting impatiently for attention?
Silly, since it‘s inanimate, but I swear it yelled at me 😅
Rightfully so since I can‘t put it down.
Here‘s to hoping for a slow day in the office 🤞🏻

#PredictablePlot
This is one of only two Sparks novels I have read. I found both predictable.
“We fell in love, despite our differences, and once we did, something rare and beautiful was created. For me, love like that has only happened once, and that's why every minute we spent together has been seared in my memory. I'll never forget a single moment of it.”

This may be my most #unpopularopinion yet, but I‘m not a fan. I‘ve tried! I don‘t mind romance per se, but Sparks seems to follow a specific formula, and while that clearly works for him, I feel like if I pick up one of his books, I already know what‘s gonna happen. So, I just don‘t bother anymore!

Of course I chose The Notebook!! I LOVE both the book and movie! I couldn‘t find my dvd this morning though 🤨
