On a different day, the Neil Gaiman book might have been switched for Circe. But today, that‘s what I‘m going with.
I‘ve never gone to a book club and I‘ve never read this book but I have always wanted to. Perhaps this will be my first book club meeting...?
so-soThis was not my favorite book that I‘ve read this year. It left me somewhat confused and that could be because I do not typically gravitate towards reading these types of books. I liked the underlying meaning of what I took out of the book though, that you must work trough your struggles to get past them and move on and that even on the darkest of days there are people who will stand beside you and fight with you or even for you!
pick🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟I can‘t praise this book enough. Its beautiful and dedicated prose stands next to nothing except perfection in all its intricacies and complexities. Neil Gaiman is a master wordsmith like no other. I was pulled in so absolutely I almost forgot where my life began and this wondrous story ended... so interwoven I became that it took me such awhile to gain my footing again. Enjoy away avid readers.
pickI listened to the audiobook of this, and while I like that Gaiman reads all this own books and is so quick to embrace all forms of media, I get the feeling I would have liked this even more in print. I loved the characters though, especially Lettie. #authoramonth @Soubhiville

pickThis was nothing what I had expected! I think this is the first book Ive read that the main character & narrator did NOT have a name. Basically, the MC visits his former childhood home after a funeral and is reminded of his mystical childhood when he was 7 years old when very strange things were happening including a babysitter from hell!

Ocean at the End of the Lane is in top 3 favorite Gaiman for me so I'm crazy excited to see what the illustrated version looks like. 😁
pickThis novel, by Neil Gaiman, really had me racing through the story! As such, I must reread again soon to catch the intricacies of this unforgettable story that felt like a mythological re-telling. I loved it.

November ‘s #authoramonth is Neil Gaiman. Starting tagged e-book from library! Maybe The Graveyard Book, from my TBR, will be next— depends on how soon the two other Gaimans come off my library holds. I‘ve only read one short story collection of his previously, so we‘ll see how it goes this month!

Started my #authoramonth this evening and am a little over halfway through my reread of Ocean. Lining up my next, which will be Odd and the Frost Giants. I've read all the Gaiman books I own already, but I always reread 1 or 2 of his every year anyhow. I hope A View from the Cheap Seats will become available at the library this month. It's been on my TBR forever and I had intended to mark it off this year anyway.

so-soYesterday I finished this book. I need very long, because it's very stressy for me at the moment and this book isn't very thrilling. Perhaps I don't understand the books of Neil Gaiman, but I always ask myself What? and Why? I don't like the persons and I need more background informations. The book was too short for me.

pickI thought this book was very well written it was so good and unique I enjoyed everything about it there was some parts that surprised me and there were some parts that made me feel sad and some that made me feel happy through it all I give this story ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ five stars

1. I read this one a while ago, but it solidified my love for him. :)

5. Fourth grade- I remember my teacher giving impactful lessons and making an impression on me like no other educator before. She had a recess book club, had a pet hamster, and had a big heart. ❤️

Neil Gaiman is a genius in my book. Such an interesting plot, VERY sympathetic characters, and vivid details of such imaginative/fictional creatures and settings. His narration brings out my inner child where I hang on his every word and get lost in his story. It was at times creepy, but in an intriguing way. Mostly, it was magical.

2. Yu Mo Gui Gwai Fai Di Zao (it's from the old Jackie Chan cartoon. It translates to something like spirits, demons, monsters, leave. I say it a lot. Lol!)

Neil Gaiman has set the bar really high and ruined other narrators for me. Loving this audiobook so far.
I went away in my head, into a book. That was where I went whenever real life was too hard or too inflexible.
She really was pretty, for a grown-up, but when you are seven, beauty is an abstraction, not an imperative.
pickI actually don‘t usually like reading Neil Gaiman, I prefer listening. But I needed a quick read and this was buried in our Kindle library so decided to give it a shot. Glad I did. Fun story with a little twist at the end.
